He quite obviously mostly had a lot of random encounter tables.

Also you seem to be misunderstanding. This seemed to be less a mmorpg, beyond the construction of the setting, and more a "random adventure!" game.

random adventure means less items to prepare before game imo.
so game will pursue u less so seems easyer to me.
