The magma man has died in the heat.

I got 4 x "The magma man has died in the heat. The magma man falls over." messages immediately upon entering a cave on a bronze colossus mission. Further exploration revealed that sure enough, there was a magma river running through one of the levels, but no magma men to be seen. Shouldn't they be heat-resistant or something?

Magma men's body temperatures are currently set lower than magma, meaning they burn up when they spawn in the magma.

Known bug, and is actually changeable in the text files if you want to fix it.

It's actually been said to not be a bug.  Toady has stated that their resistance to heat is magic related, and as magic has not been implemented yet, they cannot yet resist it.  It's more of an unimplemented feature.
