Once more AV9 proves to be equivalent to AV7 and I finish the game with three conscious players, 1-0 up. Tyrr and Tuffgang very nearly die respectively, and the second half was a clusterfuck, Burnt Pies only failing to score through mistakes rather than much work on my part. If they were feeling better, it would have been a shitstomp.

Jartol and ndkid were tied. Jartol gets in based on whatever rules Cyanide uses, next season there'll be a (hopefully) less vague criteria.

It took to the 28th, but Glistening Dementia wins out over Monk's Marauders 2-1.

Insane game. I'm just happy that when I really, really, really needed a 1d block to work, it did.

Mind you, if I'd managed to make a pickup with surehands about 10 turns earlier it wouldn't have been needed, but whatever.

Another year, another abrupt exit from the playoffs for the Marauders. Plenty of missed opportunities- the game should've been in the bag when the Marauders recovered on their own goal-line with a... 2? 3 player advantage? And if I was gonna go for the endzone (outrunning blockers on the theory that Chaos is bashier than me and I don't want to cage, second half to the contrary,) I should have GFI instead of tempting fate- that 1d block was a rookie Hobgoblin throwing Defender Down after dodging away from his mark, the only player in position to make a difference. After that the field was in Chaos Dwarves favor, with players all strung out and those infuriatingly mobile Bull Centaurs on the loose.

The game giving me 0/4 KOs back while giving the opposition 4/4 KOs and a free Blitz with 2 turns of overtime left was just rude, though. Still, I deserved it- AlStar plain outplayed me. Always next year, I suppose.
