>Have miners to expand hold with workshops and housing.
>Have military practice forest combat within 100 ft or so of the entrance.
>Have 2 grunts set up the workshops (masonry and carpentry) in the western room.
>Have 2 grunts construct two small (below canopy) towers just outside the entrance.
>Have the last grunt collect edible food (give him knowledge of this).

I actually didn't expect to take this long; I somehow managed to fuck up some group of nerves in my head and have thus recently been dealing with a tooth/eye/earache from hell, which makes sitting down to focus on writing much more of a hassle than it should be.
Anyway, everything's done, and we can at last get on with day 2. :D

Here's a small
Spoiler: List of Changes (click to show/hide)
I made to some of the participant info. As I mentioned, it's been difficult for me to focus as of late, so please look over your stuff and tell me if I screwed anything up. I'm going wait a bit to give Vgray and Xantalos a chance to post their desired actions before I get to work on writing up results.

Zanzetkuken the Great
The first obstacles that the planeswalker was met with after arriving on Earth, though certainly mundane in nature, ended up doing a remarkable job of impeding his progress early in the trial. An utter lack of currency combined with the inconveniences provided by certain establishments meant that much of the Chosen One's day was taken up by uneventful waiting and wandering.

Fortune finally smiled upon the Chosen One when he was able to sell off a precious summoned artifact to a local museum for a fair sum of money. With little time to spare, Zanzetkuken kicked his efforts into high gear. After purchasing an assortment of outdoor equipment, he traveled to the nearest mountain range and summoned up a comfortable base of operations for himself, complete with its own full-time military and workforce.

Hisir Namedene

Hisir's first day of the trial was filled with acts of unlawful and unscrupulous mischief; from breaking into museums and trying to steal children's bicycles, to frightening the elderly and committing merciless acts of animal cruelty. It was no wonder the Chosen One's presence on Earth was already beginning to get noticed.

Not all of Hisir's actions were of a destructive or harmful nature, however. After a long trek across many a field, the Chosen One spent a good deal of his time attempting to better himself by training his own abilities in a small, secluded area of a beautifully serene forest. With a companion gained and progress made toward expanding his powers, Hisir's first day could have very well been considered a successful one.

The Moderator

The Moderator's day began with a nighttime hike through the Canadian wilderness, after he had grown tired of waiting for the sluggish rising of the morning Sun.

After finally stumbling upon civilized life, helpful residents of the area assisted him in finding out his location on the planet, and allowed him to get in contact with his past-self via telephone. The Moderator's past-self departed from his secret base in Australia and flew overseas in his Chippewa IIC to meet up with the individual claiming to be him from the future.
Unfortunately, this flight attracted the attention of powerful government forces, and shortly after landing the aircraft, both Moderators were kidnapped and taken to a secret Canadian facility known to most simply as...'Black Maple'.

Taom

Taom's first day of the trial was a humble one; after recovering from a small panic attack brought on by a slight malfunctioning of his powers, he encountered three young individuals who had no problem answering his inquiry of where to find a place to take refuge. Going by the advice given to him by the young individuals, Taom proceeded to head into a lovely little settlement where he eventually located a suitable shelter in the form of a comfortable looking hotel.

Sir Havel the Unyielding

The knight of stone's journey started in the depths of the Carlsbad Caverns, though his time there was cut short when he was informed by a lone park ranger that his presence was not welcome. Sir Havel complied to the request that he depart without a single objection, leaving the park ranger with some strong parting words before setting out on his travels. He heeded the requested guidance of the Moon goddess Lunus, and was eventually lead to a seemingly forsaken human settlement, where he was able to obtain directions to a much larger and more populated settlement a few hours of travel away.
After consulting the spectral figure in meditation, Sir Havel's journey continued into Carlsbad. It was there that his intervention in what looked like nothing more than a simple street crime caused him to cross paths with law enforcement, as well as a particular young man...

As the day faded, Sir Havel, in his tireless search for evil, stumbled upon a gruesome murder scene hidden away inside of an abandoned house; the victim being a friend of the young man that Sir Havel had earlier encountered. After thwarting a trap that had been set within the house, the knight of stone and the young man set out together to find the individuals guilty of the terrible crime.

Jorn Darkmane

Leaning against a tall tree situated somewhere within an unknown swampland, Jorn was eased into consciousness by the ambient sounds of chirping crickets and croaking frogs echoing throughout the dark of night; a calmness disturbed only by the presence of the many flying insects that seemed determined to feast upon every part of the warlock's body left uncovered by his robe.

TorZon The EverShifting

Through curious observation of its surroundings, it soon became more than apparent to TorZon that it was now inhabiting the planet which would serve as its home for the duration of the God-King's trial. Its new environment was a dark, wet tunnel system of some sort; much more confined than the vast aetheric fog it had been residing in only moments ago.

TorZon spreads itself outward like a gas, seeping outward throught the tunnels. It will concentrate it's mass in one spot if it encounters anything curious (eg: a living being, an exit, etc.)

The Moderator(s)

A small click is heard, and a male voice begins to emanate from an almost unnoticeable speaker just above the black window in each Moderator's room...

"Please remain calm. Otherwise we may be forced to further incapacitate you. Contrary to what you may believe, we at this time have no intention of harming you in any way. In fact, we wish to cooperate with you.
We have gone through the items that were confiscated from you, and know that only you are capable of giving us further insight into the inner workings of such impressive technology. We also know that you very likely have access to other such technologies, and would very much like you to disclose their location to us.

To keep things brief, we'll save any calls to the CIA or speeches about 'dastardly plans' for later. Here is our offer:
Reveal to us the location of any more unusual and advanced technology you or your friend know of, tell us everything you know about said technology and its functions, and work alongside our own specialists to help further the progress of our own private endeavors. In return, we will give you enhanced access to this facility and its resources, as well as do our best to fulfill any other worldly desires you may have.

You see? All we want, is your cooperation."

Jorn Darkmane

Searching through the contents of his pouch, Jorn looks for anything that could be of use to him in his situation. The lack of light doesn't help at all, but the Chosen One is able to tell what most of it is from touch alone, anyway:

There's a small container of salt, different types of dried herbs for various purposes, and several scraps of paper along with a small wooden writing utensil that doubles as a tool for drawing small amounts of blood.

Make two interlocking circles of salt on the ground. Sprinkle some herbs for good measure. Attempt to summon a minor imp.

(Should be enough for something as puny as an imp I think...)

"The offer is tempting, but there are rules against that. Tell ya what. I'll give you laser tech, if you release us."

"It'd be a bit hard to make more Mass Accelerators. But as for the Chippewa, what do you mean to do with more of them?"

Zanzetkuken the Great

A little while after issuing the orders to his dwarves, Zanzetkuken is approached by his lieutenant with a status report. According to the dwarf:
  • Both workshops should be up and ready by midday.
  • Resources are limited, but if the grunts manage to scavenge up enough supplies, they should be able to finish one of the two towers by day's end.
  • With only two miners, carving out enough earth to make room for extra workshops and proper housing for everyone is going to be several days' worth of work. He doubts anyone will mind too much, though.
With his little bearded helpers handling all the labor, it looks like the Chosen One will have plenty of free time on his hands.

TorZon The EverShifting

TorZon detects several types of life through use of its clever technique; a plethora of bacteria, a few different insects, it even encountered a rat, though it scurried off as soon as it picked up on the Chosen One's presence. It was unlucky in locating any exits from the tunnel system, however.

Even when 'spread out' TorZon is only able to cover a relatively small amount of ground given its current size, lest it risk having the matter that it is composed of dissipate back into the fabric of creation.

Jorn Darkmane

After doing his best to clear a spot on the ground, Jorn uses up most his salt preparing a minor summoning ritual in the hopes of bringing forth an imp to serve him. However, once the ritual is finished, he takes a good look at the creature trapped inside of the magical barrier, and becomes dishearteningly certain that he must have done something wrong.
What stands before the warlock is no imp, but a boggart. Beings similar to imps in size and inclination toward trouble and mischief, but lacking the basic common sense and low-level demonic powers. Stupidly curious and dreadfully fond of bringing misfortune to others, they are often seen as little more than pests to most practitioners of magic...on the other hand, one particularly special talent of the boggart is that they are highly skilled at not being seen. In fact, unless a boggart wishes to show itself, they can usually go standing out in broad daylight, virtually invisible to the untrained eye.

After futilely attempting to cross the borders of salt, the boggart looks up a Jorn with its sunken yellow eyes...

The Moderator(s)

The voice begins speaking to each of the Moderators separately...

"I am sorry to say that we simply cannot accept such an offer. The only way either of you could ever be allowed to leave this facility is if we were absolutely certain that we could trust you. Until that point, both of you will remain detained here indefinitely."

Other-Moderator
"Ensure that Canada and her allies always have the upper hand in any future military conflicts, of course. Although, right now, we are more concerned with understanding the existing technology and making sure that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands, rather than creating more of it."

Estimated time passed: 10 minutes.

23:50 remain.

Follow the trail of sweat, skin particles, and such the rat left behind. When TorZon gets close, it'll shapeshift into a rat and attempt to find out where the rest are.
