Day 3The five migrants are sorted out.
Pokon is married with one of them and has a grown son amongst them.
Pokon's family all have low military skills of some form and useless castes (teacher, stoneworker and broker, which we already have) so they are all drafted into our currently inactive military.
The other two become farmer/brewer and medical pony respectively.
Unfortunately our medical pony is an earth pony, and because of racism we can't appoint her to become our chief medical pony, she'll just have to do something else for now and become a nurse later on.
Aqueducts are smoothed out completely.
Replica's office, the control room, is expanded, furnished and smoothed out.
Yeah so 5 tables isn't entirely neccesary I agree, but it does look pretty rad, I've never really furnished rooms with more furniture than needed, might consider making some more just for shits and giggles while we still have time to spare.
The pit drowning and disposal chamber is dug out and largely smoothed out, it's not quite done yet though.

Two puppies are born in the general goods stockpile.
The brook is dug through, the water flows as expected and the two wells are active and safe.
Pineapple now has running water. Hurray!
A trading depot is built, but obviously there is no access to it.
Better have one ready anyway for now.

The mess hall is smoothed out, our narrow minded technicolor horsies are happier for it.
3 more puppies are born in the mess hall.
Dogs? Or rabbits? You tell me.
With LUCK we might be able to cause a dogsplosion, more dogs mean more war dogs, and more war dogs means vastly improved chances of winning fights against ghouls.
In DF numbers will in most cases win over individual strength (IF THE NUMBERS HAVE ANY CHANCE OF DAMAGING THE SINGLE UNIT), I would assume that 10 rabid dogs and 1 pony would do more damage and confuse a ghoul reaver more than 1 pony alone.
And dogs? In the words of Josef Stalin when referring to his people, they are a renewable resource, all I have to do is set up breeding pairs once we get a few going and we are set.

HUGE area is dug out, it is exactly the size of a maximum sized stockpile.
This stockpile becomes our new "all goods general pony hoard" until our industries gradually develop and we split things up more.

More migrants arrive, we risk our luck again with two reavers above.
As the migrants make a beeline to our wall breach one of the reavers begins chasing after them.
The pony being chased makes a heroic selfless dash (actually means that the AI is mentally dense and ran without really thinking ahead) to the bottom right corner of the map where the other reaver was at.
While they murderized the pony the others went below ground and the entrance was sealed, which unfortunately left one bighorner and brahmin kid just outside, I am a bit too worried about just letting them in so I am leaving them out for now.
Checking the unit list I see that we actually lost two migrants, the other, a miner, was killed.
Also apparently one of OUR units is marked as an enemy and "Opposed to life", I can still change her labors via therapist and she shows up as a soldier in our melee squad, combat log shows nothing on her, she just spontaneously became opposed to life apparently.
I am suspecting that she might cause a loyalty cascade if we attack her, but I don't want to cheat-kill her, so I am leaving her up there on the surface for now.
In the absolute worst case scenario we'll just have to savescum it and cast her into obsidian or something.
The migrants are sorted out.
5 of them survived, the 6th is, like I said, opposed to life.
3 of them are drafted into our military and the remaining 2 are given other tasks.
One of the two civies becomes our chief medical pony, he is an unicorn.
Our other civie becomes a farmer, he "embodies the earth pony nature" which essentially means that he is the coolest guy ever and instantly one of my favorites, also did I mention that his name is Sky Wash?
The militaries are 2 rifleponies and 1 knifepony. Still no barracks though, we don't have the manpower to spare right now, maybe after we get some training weapons and shields out.
Then of course, for that we need wood, which we don't have.
So the military goes on to fuck itself and sit on its hooves for now while I plan things out.
