Wasteland GoldLet there be light.
And we were blessed with heating, electricity, food and all the powers of the equestrian pre-war machine.
More time has passed and our little bunker has now become more or less a self sustainable minature stable, basic neccesities have been taken care of, now we just upgrade everything, expand industries and generally become more awesome.
And who knows! Maybe we'll get robots if we have the necessary items, can't wait to build my first sprite-bot controlled by the latest in chicken processing unit chips.
Airlock projects continue, more bridges and floodgates are connected to our levers.
We keep running out of mechanisms because the pony in charge of those keeps underestimating just how many we need to connect all the airlocks to our control room, so more are ordered.
Actual work orders for more stone bins and barrels are placed now, Dell (Lycaeon) jolts down that we need 30 of each and ponies get to work on it right away.
The workshop area is expanded a bit along with the addition of new future rooms.
Partially because of planning and partially because we are running out of stone.
Mist (Corai) is put on the task of opening all our freshly scavenged crates.
After all the scavenge was processed we ended up a number of the really interesting ones, you know which ones, those from the Ministry of Awesome.
The scavies at Lemon taught everypony the value of these crates, and explained that the MoA crates are worth many times that of say, the Ministry of Image ones.
Why, you ask?
Top of the line pre-war military tech. Lots of it.
In fact, the first MoA crate opened contained a locked steel case marked "Anti Machine Rifle".
The engineers (including me) kept getting confused over which lever went where, so we had the control room organized and the levers marked with little colored signs.
A stone stockpile is dug out.
Eventually, the more stone we consume the further away our craftsponies have got to go to haul new boulders to their workshops.
At least, that's the official word on it, the real reason behind this is because I convinced Mist to come with me and yell at Bee over how much work it was carrying big boulders on our backs all the way to our mechanics workshop.
The Overseers office is furnished, the liason felt undignified conducting her meeting with Bee in his bedroom.
Winter is coming!
The swamp is covered in ashy snow and the river freezes over!
Thankfully we have drinks. So we'll just have to make do with synthcola over the winter.
We trade with the caravan from home.
We sell a few of our scavenged steel trap components and a shovel for most of their leather, cloth and all of their food.
Then they leave, apparently satisfied with the trade.
The first airlock is fully completed!
The one composed of just two bridges and one floodgate, connected between the trade depot and the stable, is finished first obviously.
Chickens hatch, the population of chicken has practically quadrupled now.
The second airlock is completed!
The airlock connecting the trade depot to the tunnel entrance (that goes directly to the surface) is now finished.
This airlock was locked tight for now and the area around the trade depot was dug out to make room for fortifications from which we'll be able to shoot through (in case we need to set up an ambush or if the depot is breached by the enemy).
Third airlock is suffering from some complications, there is something preventing our engineers from reaching the last few floodgates.
Even I can't figure out why I can't get there, strange...
Beach Trimline, some pony I wasn't even aware existed flipped her shit and demanded a leatherworking shop, so we had one built for her and she immediately set about working on something.
She dragged some rocks and leather there, no idea what she has in mind.
A scrap metal stockpile is dug out and designated, we need somewhere to dump all the metal scrap Mist is finding among the crates.

Beach Trimline completed her work apparently, she presented to us (with great pride I might add) a mottled leather riot shield named TACTIC TAX, THE TACTIC OF TAXING.
Yeah? And? None of us understood what was so special about the shield until we saw what she had sewn onto the shield.
An image of Bindbandits, that statue Dell made of the robot smashing that earth pony's right ear.
Fuck you Beach.
The trade depot fortifications are built (or at least partially built) and we figured out what was wrong with the main airlock.
Turns out the wall between the actual airlock and the stable hadn't been breached.
HOW we missed this is completely beyond me, but we can get back to work now.
(This problem is also known as TILESET COLORS FOR GRAY SAND WALLS BLENDING IN WITH THOSE OF THE FLOORS!!)
The venerable protectapony you guys brought with you was moved further back down the tunnel, past our main airlock.
No sense letting it stand around all the way out there.
The snow and river thaws, just like that.
I'd say that everything out there is a soggy wet mess, but its a swamp, so there is really nothing different about it.
A master stockpile is designated after a bunch of complaints over how our small general stockpile is overstocked with stuff.
The new stockpile is going to be really REALLY big apparently.
Even more stone bins and barrels are ordered.
The chicken coop is now reopened, as in, we can get back to snatching eggs and making delicious omelets again.
The Overseer's, Therapist's and Bookeeper's rooms and offices are furnished a bit more.
Yeah we forgot to give Dell her filing cabinets way back...
A miniproject for better staircases is started, to improve the flow of ponies going to and from stockpiles and workshops a little.
Also needed for our new floor we have planned.
I am proud to announce that ALL three airlocks are now finally completed and hitched to their respective levers!
We are now virtually untouchable from anything roaming about out there, it'd have to take something really smart that can fly AND destroy floodgates to get past the airlocks, and THAT'S just silly.
Initial plans for the barracks are laid out, its almost time to properly organize our defenses.
And that's all I have to say for now.
Third sessions is down.
Like I mentioned way back at the start, food issues and absolute basic neccesities have been taken care of.
And with us being safe for now all we really gotta do is upgrade and improve.
On the surface random wildlife keeps getting completely butchered by the
Ebola Virus pink cloud storms, so I am really skeptic about expanding on the surface.
Maybe I can just make us sit down below and lure the enemy in, we could be like night creatures, and the steel ranger newbie adventurers could get, like, quests from the talon mercs telling them to go to our cave and slay us, only to find out that the cave is filled with AMR wielding ponies and robots.
Tech is doing great so far, only processed one medium batch of salvage and these are the results of that:
