Name: Ryu (pronounced Rye-ü) Haynes

Gender: Male

Age: 16 (but could probably pass for 18)

Grade: Second year

Description: Standing just shy of 6', Ryu is a reserved person. He was born in Japan, but lived in America from ages 7-13. Because of this he can speak both Japanese and English fluently. When he was 13 he was involved in an accident that ran a large electric shock through the right half of his body. The electric shock damaged the nerve endings in his right arm and leg and, while the arm was saved, the leg required amputation. The accident also gave him a large gash on the right side of his face, blinding him in that eye. After the accident, he moved back to Japan to be fitted for a mechanical leg.
His manarisms and food tastes are a mix of Japanese and English. He is normally level headed and relaxed in nature, taking time to carefully articulate his words, but on occasion can be outgoing and charismatic.
over the years he's taken a particularly large interest in fencing. He started it as just a way to regain his dexterity, but became engrossed in it, studying it intently. On his down time he likes to practice his single-stick moves.
He doesn't mind at all when people mention his disabilities, and tries to put them at ease with his laid back nature

Hey guys, just popping in to keep you guys updated on myself. I'm doing better then I was a couple weeks ago. I'm doing better in my classes and me and my girlfriend have broken up(regrettably, but thankfully). I hope to be able to come back within the next week or so, just have to stabilize myself in everything before I decide.

Description: Jef was born with chronic broncitis, but it wan't diagnosed immediatly. At first the doctors thought that is was Laryngeal Papillomatosis, which can cause chronic coughing, so they removed his larnyx. Jef must wear a mask at all times (due to chronic broncitis), and has to use Electrolarynx to speak.
Jef was born in Japan, but both of his parent were immigrants from the UK. He grew up speaking English at home and Japanese everywhere else. Once his voice box was removed, he had to go through therapy to learn how to speak again, and the doctors only helped him with Japanese. Because he uses a Electrolarynx, his voice sounds robotic, and if he coughs with it on it makes a high pitched static sound.
Jef is 5' 11", he is 17, and he is a second year student.

Disability(ies) (yes it's required): Chronic Broncitis, Missing Larnyx

Clubs: Book Club, Student Council

Other: His family visits him from time to time, just to check up on him. He can't do sports without supervision so he doesn't aggravate himself. He can't talk very loud, he is smart, and gets angry when people don't understand what he's trying to say.
