((See the description I gave Dessicatus. I am writing this in a hurry.))
I don't know where the description is. I'll wait.

((This wasn't meant to happen under these conditions.))
((What exactly does that mean though?))

DONT fool around. Backtracking.
So clearly i couldnt hear Eric from the begining if i am near pit?

Yell down the passage behind me.

"Hey! I found something down here!"

Regardless if they heard me or not, jump down the hole, unless I can't see the floor, in that case, throw my dagger down it and see how long it takes to make a noise.
[3] You twist your ankle on a loose rock below. Looking at the walls, you doubt you could climb back up without tools.
The smell in this room is much worse than on the upper level.
You feel like things have suddenly gotten serious. Like you might die if don't watch your step.
The room is filled with rubble, and many shiny, valuable things. An chest lies intact in the corner. The only exit seems to be an ominous archway.

The Catacombs: Upper Level (for reference by all adventurers)

Then

Just take the things that are easy to carry.

"Hey! Is anyone up there?

This is not good at all...

Push the door and see if it opens.

Take a look through all 3 passages but don't go through.
[3] You can effectively carry no more than 25 gp worth of the chests contents.
As for the passages:
Two of them lead into rooms like the one you're in. Small, empty, and dull.
The third leads into darkness.

Who thinks these dungeons are two long and complicated? I could just fast-track you to the end, and later dungeons could be made shorter and simpler.

Probably could be toned down a bit.

I like this one cuz this game is SERIOUS. Kids always complain, i just enjoy the adventure,
actually i think we are 5-8 moves out of final exploration +/- we could just go upstairs in that long corridor with many doors.
As i see none enjoys, so ill just say i am whatever - game is urs and i alrdy enjoy it.

Alright, nearly unanimous consensus on simplification.

Reality warps as the passive magic within the catacombs reaches critical mass.
You find yourselves in a square room. There are 3 ornate sarcophagi lining the wall on your right, and three on your left.
Ahead, lying on the floor, is an even more ornate sarcophagus, made out of solid gold, encrusted with jewels. To its left is a stone door.
Behind you is a set of double doors.
On the ground is blazing glory, waking up from a deep sleep.
Margrave can feel the telltale signs of necromancy.

"Seriously? Well...it's stuff to do with the dead. Talking to the dead, creating undead, controlling undead, stuff like that. It's not actually bringing people back to life, though. It's more like zombies and skeletons. At least as far as what I've read on it."

"I am quite serious, I never studied the arcane. Can necromancers return from death?"
"As something called a lich, yes. It requires a lot of preparation before the death and sometimes the necromancer kills themselves to become one."
