I've never actually had a forgotten beast in my fortress. Isn't that terrible? I think it's terrible.

I'm having a really hard time deciding between two in the legends, so I'll post one as the actual entry and another as a bonus.

Atu Shaftdepth the Deep Echo was a forgotten beast. It was the only one of its kind. A huge, eyeless vulture. It has four long, spiral horns and it appears to be emaciated. Its cobalt feathers are long and broad. Beware its deadly dust! Atu was associated with murder and caverns.

Zanor Wispmazes was a forgotten beast. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic three-eyed eight-legged jackal. It has a bloated body. Its golden yellow hair is short and even. Beware its poisonous sting! Zanor was associated with water, lies and caverns.

If enough people prefer Atu I could switch them I guess...
