Toggling weather to NO did absolutely nothing, it still rains.

edit: I have 112 population and 30-50 fps and it lags like hell, why am I getting this lousy fps?

I'm on a E6400, 2gb 800mhz ddr2 and a 8800gts :c

How many items are in your fortress, and how many jobs are on the job list?

Ive found that carving out a large area (making lots of new items and jobs on the job list) has much bigger of a performance impact then more dwarves and pets.

What do you mean by "lags like hell"?

If you mean there are pauses of a few seconds those usually happen when a) some sort of invasion is spawning or b) when the pathfinding has to be recalculated in a large fortress... building new bridges in a very large fortress can produce quite noticable lags.

If you mean lags of FPS dropping down very low that is often caused by dwarf-made floods causing a pathfinding recalc everytime the flood is put into or removed from a square.
