Just got trough the first season of Secret Level. Varied bit of stuff, most of it really good. I initially got in for the 40k and Armored Core episodes which were a solid bit of show, nice and snappy action and badass, very broken characters leading the show.
Of the other stuff, unexpected highlights were Pac-Man and Unreal Tournament. Both delivered a way more interesting story than was expected and were neat little expansions of the universe. (the reframing of Pac-Man as an eldritch horror was pretty fucking cool). Crossfire was a weird inclusion, it's a mostly obscure RTS that's been all but abandoned by the dev for a good while now, nothing particularly interesting or noteworthy there. Sifu was ok but again, nothing beyond what the game offered, merely some cool fight scenes. The D&D one was fine also, fairly generic and tropey as one would expect from something like this I guess. Biggest letdown was New World, which felt both as a thinly veiled ad for the game itself (being an amazon property, surprise surprise) as well as a horrible misuse of Arnold. Not sure if it was him being flat or the lip-sync being bad but it never felt like he was a character that was speaking, more like he was a puppet being voiced by Arnie (might be because he's such a standout voice and presence generally that you can't see him as anything other than Arnie playing a role).
Either way, there's another half left I think and this one was a pretty good couple of hours of time so I guess I'm looking forward to more.
