That's contradictory; if a sentiment doesn't turn into action, it's not the same response. It's indeed difficult now; my lamentation is, how did it get that far in the first place. If we can stop these "less politically entrenched" people, why didn't we earlier? Why the difference? Is it really just something as petty as money?

Anyway, this is unrelated to television shows.  Back to our regularly scheduled programming - heh, that's become an anachronism, hasn't it?

First I'd heard of it but, inevitably, its: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Gaiman#Sexual_assault_allegations

Without making any uninformed judgements on this case, it is the current zeitgeist. Either:
* for long-standing muted complainants to now have the courage to become unmuted,
* for long-standing honest errors/misunderstandings to become raised as actual accusations, or
* for other, far less actionable (or even deliberate/realistic/actual), grievances to emerge in an inspired wave of complaints-du-jour.
Pick and choose your 'favourite' interpretation.

Spoiler: To clarify... (click to show/hide)

Not that I'm expecting to see GO s2 any time soon, anyway, due to the increased multipaywall-fragmentation of the entertainment industry and my sheer stubborness (plus practical reasons, like bandwidth) in never subscribing to anything. By the time I might, hopefully proper justice has served whoever actually deserves it. Though stains and suspicions do tend to stick around even upon "the wrong done to them now having been righted" parties...

I finished watching Agatha All Along.

Much like Wandavision before it, AAA had a rough start. First episode badly spoofed old detective shows, then there were several episodes which leaned heavily upon one musical number. But it all led up to a strong finish, with multiple mysteries unraveling in a very satisfying manner.

I'm normally not big on reality TV, but I've started watching this new show called Famous House and it's pretty great. They have some real characters on there - it seems like whoever cast it really scraped the bottom of the "aspiring reality star" barrel, and the result is pretty fun.

Finally started watching What We Do In The Shadows. I think I'm near the end of S2. I've really enjoyed it so far, it's sensible chuckles all day and Matt Berry is just fun to listen to, period.
You've seen the movie, right?
I should watch more of the show. I watched part of the first season with my mum ages ago and I remember liking it, not sure why we stopped.

Watched that Cyberpunk animated show Netflix had made. It's an excellent anime. A very good cyberpunk adaptation. And a good-but-flawed tv show overall - where it suffers it's mostly in how it leans too much on anime tropes in its second half.
Still, one of the most engaging things I've seen in a while.

The Total Drama Island 2023 and 2024 reboot. Chris and Chef are hosting again (albeit with Chef being in a different uniform resembling his Total Dramarama uniform, and the two having different voice actors).

Interesting how Terry McGurrin (voice of Don from Total Drama Presents: Ridonculous Race) voices out Chris now.

I remember back in 2015 I was watching new episodes of The Ridonculous Race.

Love the new characters, they're so fun to watch.

Too bad we'll probably never see any of the other Total Drama casts
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
again... probably since they're done with Chris

I watched the Yakuza: Like a Dragon series.

Pretty poor all round, really. They changed an awful lot from the game, but even not considering that it was all over the place.

I finished watching The Penguin.

Batman shows are always hit-or-miss, but I was rather satisfied with this one. Oswald Cobblepot is a deeply deranged individual, who stumbles, muscles, and manipulates his way through the various gangs and mobs of Gotham on his way to the top. He's not the most creative or dangerous villain out there, but his origin story managed to keep me entertained through eight episodes.

I finished watching the third season of From. It was pretty solid.

The mysterious town where our characters are trapped continues to find new and intriguing ways to torture people both physically and psychologically, with an ever expanding array of weirdness around every turn. Yet despite the endless insanity, we somehow also started to get some real answers and make progress towards some sort of eventual conclusion.

Looking forward to more! A fourth season has already been greenlit, but it probably a year or more away.

Just got trough the first season of Secret Level. Varied bit of stuff, most of it really good. I initially got in for the 40k and Armored Core episodes which were a solid bit of show, nice and snappy action and badass, very broken characters leading the show.

Of the other stuff, unexpected highlights were Pac-Man and Unreal Tournament. Both delivered a way more interesting story than was expected and were neat little expansions of the universe. (the reframing of Pac-Man as an eldritch horror was pretty fucking cool). Crossfire was a weird inclusion, it's a mostly obscure RTS that's been all but abandoned by the dev for a good while now, nothing particularly interesting or noteworthy there. Sifu was ok but again, nothing beyond what the game offered, merely some cool fight scenes. The D&D one was fine also, fairly generic and tropey as one would expect from something like this I guess. Biggest letdown was New World, which felt both as a thinly veiled ad for the game itself (being an amazon property, surprise surprise) as well as a horrible misuse of Arnold. Not sure if it was him being flat or the lip-sync being bad but it never felt like he was a character that was speaking, more like he was a puppet being voiced by Arnie (might be because he's such a standout voice and presence generally that you can't see him as anything other than Arnie playing a role).

Either way, there's another half left I think and this one was a pretty good couple of hours of time so I guess I'm looking forward to more.

Star gate.
Haveing only really seen it in odd episodes, doing it in order is a real call back to the way TV used to be made and plotted.

But how is it as a show? I've never seen a single episode, I think. All I recollect, from what I gathered though cultural osmosis, is the guy who did Kratos' voice with Rimmer's hologram mark plastered onto his forehead. I remember I kinda liked the original film when I first saw it as a kid - the ancient aliens vs marines camp and all.
