Ameripol thread is too great a temptation for me to hang around, and I don't want to wind up banned or giving Toady drama to moderate.

Oh it's just a couple guys playing a Minecraft map. At one point a guy's talking and gets interrupted by a spider, and he says "I can't- Spider!" and the other guy says the line in the comment.

Again, I've no idea why that post appeared in my brain.

I mean, he's older than I am, and I'm older than most folks still posting. Don't recall if he had kids or not, tho'. Age was probably most of it.

I have two of them, in fact. The elder one starts college this fall. And I turn 50 this fall. So yeah, I'm feckin' old.

So I got 40k Space Marine 2 on the recent sale, played a bit yesterday. Pretty fun, didn't run super perfectly on mid-high settings but it ran well enough.

Firing the game up today, literally zero changes were done to anything, settings, drivers, updates, nothing was touched since yesterday. I get barely 20 FPS on the menu, even less in game, literally an unplayable slideshow.

What the fuck is going on :V

Huh. I didn't encounter any issues like that in the 40+ hours I played it.

Maybe check your graphics card drivers?

PC restart fixed it, most probably the drivers shat themselves for whatever reason. Which is odd because there was zero indication of it happening previously, AMD software was working just fine during the whole thing.

No option to sign up for an account, no indication how to get one.

Nothing relevant open on weekend.

I just finished reading that fortress story Hedgerow has done and I have no idea what's happening, it kind of feels like I'm missing the required drugs to understand what he's trying to say there.

A day of no bowel movements (As in my bowels literally moving, not shitting), and all of a sudden my bowels for no reason feel like they are completely rearranging themselves.

Not painfully, more like that scene from Annihilation where the guy's guts have turned into those weird eels.

It's not unusual to feel stuff shuftying about in there, but this was extreme. I entirely expect to shit my guts out later.

I didn't, in the end.

What I did do was fart out a large fart that frankly could have been used in the trenches of WWI as a weapon. No idea what it was barricaded behind that let it build up like that, or what I ate that made it so lethal. It lingered too.
