Curses / How do I stop sieges?

I managed to accrue heat in quadruple digits. The full might of the game's army is on me (all the way to the bombers, who what'd be higher up) and I'm chewing through it without much issue - 20 10+ rifle libs do that for you. The country is steadily on its way to L+, I gotta wait to flush out the Supreme Court though (extended endgame ho).

I've been shooting up the police station like mad, closing it down for a month and half at a time, but as soon as it opens back up (HS or otherwise) I have a window of two days tops to close it again or I'll have a siege waiting on me. Sometimes the siege starts the day it reopens, so my sleepers don't even have time to warn me beforehand.

Should I start taking down the army base too or what? This has already grown past a nuisance and gone into annoyance territory, I might disband just to not have to deal with this stuff.

Shit, I don't know if this should go here or Life Advice. Use your own judgement and report back to me.

I have accrued a small pile of excess currency which I oughta get rid of else I end up buying figurines or something else that will end up with me hanging my head in shame of "You could have spent this on important shit, m8!"

Where will I be going? Well, it's very fluid and varies heavily on whenever someone will host me or not, but first I wish to fly myself into Berlin! Spending a couple days there to see all the little things Berlin has to offer, I will take a train to Gdansk, catch Warszawa on my way south, then down to Krakow from where I'm going for Prague and Wien. Afterwards it's a slow route through Bavaria and Rheinland to Amsterdam, south to Belgium and ending in Paris. There might be a slight flux along the way, so I mi~ght end up going northwards to Owlbread and his Scottish brethren afterwards, but that's a really optimistic scenario.

You might want to note that I didn't list everything. While I have an idea of what I really want to see and where I really want to go, I'm going to be relying on YOU! Yeah, you! Due to the fact that my pile of money is small and hotels are expensive, if I were able to pay even half of what I already have calculated for hotels instead of ending my trip in Prague, I'll be able to land myself in Brussels easily! It's also a matter of being able to meet the amazing people that reside on these boards in meatspace, and I'm all for that~ So the locations that I end up visiting will vary on whoever will want to host me for the most part!

I don't have an exact date for leaving set up just yet other than knowing it will be near the end of this month. I don't need much, just a bit of room and someone to speak English with so I can share experiences.

If there's something I've failed to mention, please point it out to me! Otherwise... well, let's see what happens.

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE GALA We're not doing this.

In eight days from now, the upcoming Queen will be introduced to the realm's nobles by the ruler of Sobia, a close friend to the belated King and one who arranged her ascension.

This game is very concerned not with the Princess herself, but with the forces behind the throne. The nobles did not take kindly to the succession law being broken in order to satisfy a Sobian fantasy of an united peninsula, and there are worries that the Queen will provide full support for their pointless as they call them wars time and time again, with only losses for the Kingdom itself. Having been shushed one time too many by the interfering forces, one by one they decide there's only one thing to be done.
There are the Royal Guards, whose single goal is to ensure the Queen is not harmed. There are various factions of assassins, then there are the people caught in the crossfire. This concludes the blurb of things everyone knows.

There will be two turns to a day, namely the day and night turns. This leads to 16 turns before the Gala itself occurs, during which a special sequence will activate. The contents of the special sequence will be influenced heavily by the preparations to the Gala itself.

All data will be distributed via PMs and all communications between players is to be passed through the GM unless otherwise permitted. Trading data covertly will both harm the spirit of the game and lead to you being kicked out if detected.

That said, the Princess herself will be controlled in this thread as if in a suggestion game, while actions - both day and night - are to be sent in via PM.

Note: I'm fairly aware it'll be hard to hit the 25 player limit. It's a best case scenario. We need at least 8 to begin properly, 6 if really needed as I'd have to cut a few things out. Still, I expect it to be a murderfest.

YOU WILL NEED A RACE. NO RESTRICTIONS ON THIS. GO NUTS.

YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE POWERS. THERE WILL BE LIMITS ON THESE, YOU START WITH NONE.

EVERYONE IS ASSUMED TO KNOW THE STANDARD SIX-SIDED DIE. IT WILL BE THE ONLY DIE USED. TRYING TO EDIT THIS WILL ONLY CAUSE YOU SUFFERING.

THERE WILL BE A MAXIMUM OF SEVEN PLAYERS, BECAUSE SEVEN IS A NICE NUMBER. IF A PLAYER DIES AND IS NOT RESURRECTED FOR FIVE TURNS, A NEW SLOT IS OPENED. THIS PERMAKILLS THE OLD PLAYER.

OH, AND IF A PLAYER DOESN'T POST AN ACTION WITHIN A DAY OF ME POSTING THE PREVIOUS TURN, I'LL SET THEM TO AI MODE. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WILL BE DETERMINED BY SHADY RULES YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW. IN GENERAL, BEING IN AI MODE IS A BAD IDEA. WARNING WILL BE GIVEN IF THEY'RE ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING ABSURDLY STUPID.
