I recently found out that one of my older laptops was still funtional, and given it is now the only funtional device that I own I use it fairly regulary, mostly with firefox 53.0 if I recall correctly, however certain websites and online features(such as certain gifs and rotating avtars, special characters and whatnot) do not function. Would it be worthwile to try and shift it to windows 7 or such if possible, the system is from around 2008 or so I belivee.

I will admit I feel like I am totally awful at doing reasearch in the first place, or at least when it comes to writing reasearch papers.... I have been stumped for weeks so far when it finally hit me....I am writing a papper on how science is employed in a science fiction novel, why should i bother with all these litterary sources that mostly shower me with essays about the characers..when I am writing about the setting and the authors handiwork.

I realized I should be looking at scientific sources.

Yet having never undertaken something like this before, I am not sure where to start looking, do any of you have any advice

Note; Before someone starts, I am NOT asking anyone to do my research for me, I am merely asking if anone knows of some good publicly available websites hosting say information on the growth rates of corral or weather patterns over and in the pacific ocean, etc and especially in regrds as to what would have been known in the 1860's.

 Lately I've been struggling with my feelings about come to terms with the fact that I'll most likley never see the person I realized I'd fallen in love with in high school, because timing was bad and I've never had a way to propperly contact them. Yet it eats at me too often, I beat myself up over not compromising myself just to gain time to at least  build a working relationship. I could have pourpose fully failed a course and gotten enough time to at least network,  but choose not to.

 I could've visited the area sooner but I was too embarrassed, I feel feel horrible about not even really getting a chance at any kind of closure, heck  if I had worked out the timing a little better I could've asked some of my other friends to act as intermediaries, but I suppose it was too confident in my ability to deal with everything on my own at the time to ask for help.

 In short I've come to the conclusion that I'll probably never see this person again and I'll probably never end up knowing how I felt about them, how do I let go of all of that?

Am I the only one here who is a fan of the series and it's dark science fantasy world brimming with mystery and slightly confusing prose?

 I'm not sure how to post screenshots from the game yet, but I'm sure someone will tell me. Recently I stumbled across in legends mode at war for necromancer found the secret to immortality from talking to a dingo woman, then held herself up in her tower for the next 900 or so years...just writing books, peacefully about the stuff around her, like I think biographies of dingomen, and her tower, and treastise about the reigion she was living in. Is it normal for them to be this peaceful in worldgen?
