Custom workshops
« on: June 24, 2015, 04:53:04 pm »

Right now in order to make something you first use a stone/log/block/bar to create a 3x3 construction, then a dwarf goes there with a raw material, sits idly for some time and poof! A finished product.

So here's a baby idea: instead of unclear constructable workshops, we could have area designable hospital-like workshops; they would need to be stocked with tools (like a saw for making wooden furniture, a chisel for working stone etc.) and workstations (working without a chair or a table might cause unhappy thoughts) to carry out tasks.

Building all the workshops right now is a mere chore and the freedom to lay out workplaces would be both faster and more interesting; also, all those tools laying around would be real fun... :P
