The first days of a new universe have arrived, and with it, new opportunities.

"Per the Edicts, Let Fire and Water come into a single balance."

Quote from: Marbles
    Marbles: F, A, 3W, E, S, 2N, H
 Essence: 21EE
   Actions: 2 Aligned, 3 Free

     1 Sun Seed, 1F, 1S, 4EE.

1 World Seed, 1W, 1A, 1H, 8EE

And Let the Pillar Hold the World.
Quote from: Pillar of Reality
Name: Yggdrasil, The Divine Tree which upholds the Planes and Worlds.
Sphere: Mana
Anchor: Aquarius Novasphere(Existence)
Description: The central point of reality, upon which the very power source of magic is upheld, and life as a whole.
The Twin Suns and Aquarius are the center upon which it's roots sink deep into the fabric of reality to drink, and where it's trunk resides, spreading the branches which upon all creation is upheld.

Come Forth, Aquarius Novasphere.

Quote from: Seed of a Star
Name: Helios & Halios
Type: Twin Sun Orbiters
Condition: None/Each other
Frequency: Always
Effect: The Sustainment and Protection/Nurture of Aquarius
Description/background: Upon the Star Seed, the Solar Twins, ever circling Aquarius, Protecting and Nurturing it. Their Gravity Well lets them circle perfectly, and keeps Aquarius intact, as well as giving Aquarius shifting tides.

Quote from: Seed of a World
Name: Aquarius
Type: Water Core/Cloud Planet
Condition: None
Frequency: ~Millennium
Effect: Once a Millennium, the Core of the Aquarius Novasphere repairs the ever circling suns in Orbit around it to the state they were created in, using the anchor of reality, Yggdrasil, to power the restoration. This occurs well outside near the twin suns themselves.
Description/background: A Planet with a super-compressed core of water, with said water making up the mantle of the planet. Beyond that is a mantle of earth and ice forming a shell, that while sometimes cracking, maintains it's structure stability.
Above this layer, is a sea of clouds, and an atmosphere. And, in the distance north, a single massive tree, reaching to the heavens themselves.

And so, let the final veil be created. To act as the night.

Quote from: Constellation, Bring Night to Aquarius
Name: Auroris
Type: Phenomena
Condition: None/Aquarius Novasphere System
Frequency: Daily
Effect: An Aurora in the night sky, so such for it covers half the planet of Aquarius in the dark night, creating a day/night cycle.
Description/background: A unique Phenomena tied to the novasphere. The Maginetic coils which guard the Planet from radiation day and night. Indeed, it is it's very ability to block the twin suns' rays which leads to night on Aquarius.

Quote from: Upon which the Divine Tree Yggdrasil rests.
The Aquarius Novasphere.

Comprised of the Eternally Circling Twins, Helios & Halios, and Aquarius herself, guarded by the light of Auroris.

It is this, upon which the Pillar of Mana, Yggdrasil rests.

Mana seems to blink. One second, two? Who can say..

The world is waiting to be built. Isn't that what the one to give us these seeds said?

The Mind behind these thoughts seems very, crystalline, as if concepts have been distilled into a single being, yet not..

"N*w for my ow* **eation! Behol*! *****************!"

Once again, golden trumpets appear on the tattered banner. Then two rows of trumpets down a hallway. An object comes down that hallway-a heraldic dragon. It grows larger and larger until a figure on its back can be seen, something that looks like a patchwork-quilt cut out of a knight. Both figures finally look like they are standing in a foreground, jumping out as one into the new Galaxy.

Name: Legion One
Divine rank: (Major God)
Specialty: Glory
Spheres (limit 2): Conquest, Marriage
Description/background: A quilted knight riding on a heraldic dragon. The knight is a literal patchwork quilt, with two hands that end in mitten like arms and boot like legs. In his arm is a long golden horn he wields like a sword. The dragon is a deep dark black, with a two dimensional appearance despite being in a three dimensional world. His horn sounds celebration for the legal and romantic bonding of couples, entirely to counter "the cow's" influence on this world. When not busy with that, he develops Mortals towards conquering the surrounding nature, in additional to appropriate civilized targets.

Liege: (none) (Presumably Fourth Banner?)
Vassals: (none)

The Stareater was old when the world was newborn. When the Sunbeetle broke open the cage of dark imprisoning the earth's heart of fire and stole the sun, pushing it high, high into the sky, where the Stareater could not reach. The Stareater was shimmering with fury, and even as it desperately tried to repair the hole in the nets of darkness, even more sparks of fire slipped through, burning it in their passing. The stars flickered into the sky, joining the Sunbeetle, gathering around the bigger light as was in their nature.
- From the Scrolls of Night, Apocryphal

The Hollow Dreamer chews her way into reality, flickering rift of unreality snapping shut behind her. She chitters curiously as she surveys the raw stuff of creation.

DISGUSTING

The Hollow Dreamer leaps through the shadow spaces between the light, and appears behind Mana, entwined in the embrace of the First Precept, and then devours Mana, paralytic poison pumped into their elemental form.

Action 1: KILL MANA [1 Blood Marble + 1 Essence]
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Hollow Dreamer screamed as the painful light of the suns crawled their way into her eight eyes. She devoured them, and the sun seed with them. They digested and wasted away and died within her stomach.

Darkness: If killing Mana is not in time to stop the abominations of light, then EAT THE SUNS. [Titanic Intervention: 1 Death + 6 Essence + Rebuilding]

Hollow Dreamer ate the sunseed, and it was delicious. She herself then became the sun, an anti-sun of darkness that smothers candles and other lights with the darkness radiating from her umbral bulk

Darkness: Make self sun of Darkness [Create Sun on Sun-Seed: 1F+1S+4EE+Rebuilding]

Darkest night mated with burning fire, Hollow Dreamer twined with Volcanic Midan.

Spiders: Mate with Midan, birthing a spider made of fire.

While her first child was born, Hollow Dreamer dreamed of better things, and designed herself a perfect consort, weaving him from the raw stuff of reality flying all around.

[To support reality, Seven Words that must not reach the mouth of Mortals.
One Word for the Beginning.
One Word for the Titans.
One Word for the World.
One Word for Power.
One Word for the Soul.
One Word for Destiny.
And lastly, One Word for the End.]

1 PILLAR

Quote
Name: The Seven Forbidden Words
Sphere: Taboos
Anchor: The ignorance of the Seven Forbidden Words. The Pillar will collapse were the Seven Words to be known to Mortals.
Description: The Forbidden Observer muttered seven times.
One Word for the Beginning.
One Word for the Titans.
One Word for the World.
One Word for Power.
One Word for the Soul.
One Word for Destiny.
And lastly, One Word for the End.
He then sealed his lips, throwing the Seven Words to oblivion.

[To bring ruin to Yggdrassil, a bearer of Secrets.]

1 ASTRAL
1 NATURE
6 Essence

Quote from: Yur'Akashari Mual Yggdrassil, the Worm of Secrets (Ziz)
Name: Yur'Akashari Mual Yggdrassil, the Worm of Secrets
Class: Ziz
Location: Yggdrassil
Background: Born from the first fruit of Yggdrassil, Yur'Akashari is the forbidden Worm that must devour all life and magic.
Description: A pulsating worm of azure-gold energy, shrouded in a silver-white aura of crushing power. Seven great tendrils used to manipulate and unmake sprout from its mouth. Ziz speaks fluent "English", the most holy tongue, making it pretty powerful and dapper indeed.
Traits:
[Magic Devourer]
[Absolute Movement]
[Mastery of Primal Energies]
[Cunning and Intelligent being]
[Weakness: Knowledge of its True Name]

[I say, Words will bind Magic. Power will be bound to Words.]
3 ASTRAL
15 Essence

(Divine Edict)

Quote from: The Power of Words
The Powers of the World born from Magic and Mysteries will be bound by words. Words will be spoken, words will be written. Words will limit the Miracles available in the hand of Mortals.

The Seven Words that must not be known will be the keystones holding Magic together. For each time a Word will be discovered by Mortals, Magic shall grow stronger. And when the Last Word will be known, Magic as it was known shall run wild and most powerful for one cycle, and then end forever. Each Word discovery will usher a cycle of magic, and the Seven Words will bear such power that writing or speaking one of the Seven Words will cause weak mortals to spontaneously combust into primordial dust.

The discovery of the Seven Words will always follow the order they were ushered into the world. The first discovered word will always be the Word for the Beginning, and following Words will follow the order until the Last Word. Attempting to teach one of the Words to a Mortal in the wrong order will cause the Mortal to understand the Word that should have been discovered instead.

Languages shall be stronger in order of apparition. There is currently the first tongue, and most divine: "English", which dictates reality and its meta-nature in the [IC]. "English" will be the strongest tongue, and words written in "English" will hold unparalleled magic power compared to all other languages.

As more languages are born, new ones will be born weaker. The old and forgotten tongues will bear vast amount of power compared to the newest and modern tongues, until eventually, newer tongues no longer hold any power.

Addendum: "Engrish" shall be the most reviled of all languages, and grant power at the cost of great insanity.

Deep in the featureless void, where not the faintest star flickers nor scantest soil stays, there is Silence, and the Silence is. Then, the Titans, eleven entities of unparalleled power, ushered in to cultivate creation from the seed which they've been given. The Silence that is, is now was, and never again shall be. The void remains still no longer, it is perforated by the light of the swirling twin suns, punctured by the presence of the intricate ring of spheres, brought into being by one, and one alone. It is a new world, perhaps aesthetically pleasing to the one who devised it, but to the Ten who had no say, it is an atrocity, for the foundation of the world was ushered in by another's hands, and the first creation cannot be undone. The Ten voice their disdain, and the One who sculpted the shape of the seed utters his defense.

Mayhap creation would've been undone, eviscerated in a storm of unthinkably mighty divinities, waging war on unprecedented scale as an assortment of mewling, temperamental infants, furious that their toy was taken from them. If such were to come to pass, mayhap the Silence that was, would be is, and the void might know quiet yet again. In what would be, to cloistered sects of raving nihilists a thousand years hence, the First Tragedy, The Defender, He Who Enforces the Law, Expunges All Injury, and fancies Himself the Judge drafts a contract, the Settlement of Dispute: Over Untimely Creation of World. The terms are perhaps unfavorable to the One who planted the world-seed, but His peers find it justified, and fearing oblivion, the One considers acquiescence, content to have cemented His legacy, but before He can make His decision, the First Conflict, and what may be the First Murder is wrought.

The Hollow Dreamer, She Who Weaves Shadows appears, and grievous offended by the shining suns, falls upon Mana, the First to Speak, with wild abandon, ripping and tearing in ruinous wrath. The outcome of the First Conflict is yet to be determined, but in the furthest recesses of the timeless void, far beyond the reach of the world-tree, the resounding essence of the First Creation and the thrashing madness of the First Conflict proves too much for the untarnished reality to bare, and for the merest of moments, the scantest of seconds, the Incarnation of Entropy is plain for all to see. Were it to remain, the Seventh Word may have been spoken far faster than its fashioner intended, but the Silence was not to be, and the reality was not to cease.

However quickly the rift was sealed, such was Its presence in this moment, the state of safeness in creation could not be sustained, and in the faintest of instants the rift was yet to collapse, a seeing sphere emerged, torn from an unknowable stalk jutted into reality, and such was Its disdain at the sight of creation, Its lids closed, and so long as Its will persisted, never again would open. It rumbled as the rift closed, forever severing it from Its Greater Self, and such was the weight of the Essence from even the tip of a sensory appendage, the sphere gained consciousness, awakening as a Titan of tremendous power. By the will of the Three which Orchestrate what was, what is, and what shall come to pass, the rift shattered, the void sealing over as if it were never there, and from its destruction sprang a sound so simple, yet so distinct it could never be mistaken. The sphere reasoned that it if It were to be an Incarnation of Destruction, only the merest echo of entropy would suffice for Its name, and so, It took on this sound as Its own.

So it was that Zo'Vass came to be, and so Its efforts to Undo what was shall be. From Its voice, utterly unknowable to the mortal mind, yet undeniably masculine to those with the strength of will to hear, came His First Speech, that single word surmising the entirety of His views on the creation in which He found Himself.

"Blech."

The Defender issues this contract with the consent of all parties involved.

Per Contract, an amendment. Not much, but, my Sphere is Primal Nature, not Nature.

I have no issue, but this contract shall be void if the entirety of the Aquarius Novasphere ceases to exist.

To note, a Prophecy, that when the World Tree dies, so does the Aquarius Novasphere.

The Defender charged forth, the golden form throwing itself at the spider as it set itself upon first Mana, then all of reality. A great shield seemingly forged of pure water coalesces over one arm, then crashes into the Hollow Dreamer. A sword of flame appears in his other hand as he turns to face the unholy being known as Zo'Vass.

Defender spends 5EE+1W+1F to counter the attack on Mana (but does not attempt to kill the Dreamer or Zo'Vass.)

"Enough, ye foolish Titans! This injustice shall not stand! Mana already pays the price for their mistakes. Shining Revelation, these beings run counter to your very principles! Forbidden Observer, and the others of the contract: you stand to lose much should Mana, or this world, fall! Assist me and we will all be the greater for it!"

Much of the tsunami of visceral gore washing over Mana is turned aside, and the Sealed Eye hisses at The Defender's rebuke. Far from dispersed, the tidal wave of intestinal gore thrashes and turns, renewing its assault.

"Stumbling, shackled Slave to the soon-to-fade Light, you DARE defy me!?! Fool, you do not understand, this Creation is FLAWED, and it must be UNDONE. If you are so eager to see the misbegotten miser who so greedily indulged himself at the expense of the whole spared His well-deserved fate, you shall be SORELY disappointed!"

Zo'Vass does not increase his Attack investment, but He doesn't reduce it either. Instead, He continues the onslaught, heedless of The Defender's valiant defense.

The Spider wishes for simply darkness and shadow. If the Hollow Dreamer has it's way, the light will never shine upon the world, the sky forever void of stars.

I kept the core dark, had so many ideas.. And this is the result that occurs....

The blazing blade swings back at the bloody mass of the Undoer, fending the thing backward as the angry Titan boomed. "YOU dare defy ME, you malignant mass of filth and misery? By the time the Shining Revelation showed up (late), Creation was in full swing. There were suns, and a world; if not perfect then at least ready to be shaped to its whims. Certainly not worth the fuss that seemed to be brewing over it. The titan would doubtless have not got involved if it hadn't been for that Spider.
Darkness, the absence of Light, has its place, certainly; without it Light means nothing. But eternal darkness, the corruption of a Sun seed? That was unacceptable.

Action 1 (Light): Prevent the Hollow Dreamer from consuming the suns; let their inner nature and light flare up and drive back the darkness-loving Dreamer. (Titanic Intervention, 1N + 6EE)
If this results in combat (not 100% sure on the rules of this yet):
Spoiler: Combat Plan (click to show/hide)

Purchase two random Marbles from the Divinities (-20EE) Request made on appropriate Discord channel.

EDIT - Marble purchase moved; very minor wording change to action.

The Defender will also use one action to ask the Destinies for Holy marbles, one action to render the flaming sword and water shield as Trinkets containing echoes and records of their duel, and a final action to manually repair the aftermath of the battle.

"So long as Entropy Eternal shall one day reduce the tallest tower to rubble, I shall oppose you, and I shall oppose you a thousand years hence!"

The Downward Force recoils, screeching at the flaming blade, and if He had teeth to bare He would. As it is, the fog shrouding the Undoer prevents any more than a glancing blow, and He retaliates with a burst of crackling lightning wrought from the Flux storm, too weak to serve as anything but a diversion, but a distraction it is, for as He monologued, Zo'Vass's full attentions were in truth focused on the works of The Shining Revelation.

Beneath the lid, He Who Undoes gazes upon the suns, and finds their presence loathsome. The Spider intervenes, eager to devour their taint and He is most pleased, but another emerges, wielding radiant Light, brazenly baring Revelation most profound, and ushering in the Essence of Nature, attempts to deprive She Who Weaves from her ill-earned feast. Enraged by the most disgusting of atrocities, the earnest endeavor to preserve what Should Not Be, Zo'Vass unleashes His unbridled power. Not one, but two motes of purest Flame, perhaps the hottest ever made dart out into both of the dual Suns, each infused with a Minor God's ransom of Essence and enough Flux to shatter the greatest of defensive mortal wards that were to one day come. Those gathered stare, some in horror, others fury, some apathy, and a handful in glee, as the Fire forces the Suns to expend a thousand eons of light in a single moment, hopefully leaving them decrepit husks. The sight is a bit much, and it's perhaps a good thing mortals with functioning eyes were yet to exist.

Action 1 (Destruction): Zo'Vass attempts to burn-out the Suns in a single instant, and if attacked, fights defensively. (Titanic Intervention, 2F + 9 EE)

The destruction of the Suns was pleasing to Zo'Vass, but it was insufficient to sate His thirst to Undo the wretched works of Mana. He bore witness to the planet at the base of Yggdrasil, swiftly found it wanting, and considered His deed for some time, though His decision was made before He ever laid Unseeing Eye on it. From His self came a mote of dust, sparse and insignificant, but knew that with a piece of Essence, it could come be so much more. Zo'Vass poured His power into the rock, until it became swollen in size, and wielding an unfathomably mighty burst of telekinetic force, brought it hurtling down onto the Aquarius.

Action 2: Zo'Vass summons a tremendous meteor, and sends it hurtling toward the planet with malevolent intent. [Titanic Intervention][1 Earth Marble + 4 Essence]

[TITANIC EDICT. TRUTH WILL PREVAIL.]
4 ASTRAL

24 Essence

Quote from: The One True Edict
This Titanic, being the First Titanic Edict, shall be know as the One True Edict, and all Edicts created after it in chronological order of the OOC-Universe shall be known as False Edicts. As the First Edict, the One True Edict shall take precedence over all False Edicts, because Truth is stronger than Falsehood.

Words will be Power

Words will hold great power. And Languages shall be stronger in order of apparition. As more languages are born, new ones will be born weaker. The old and forgotten tongues will bear vast amount of power compared to the newest and modern tongues, until eventually, newer tongues no longer hold any power.

Words of English Shall be the Most Holy

There is currently the first tongue, and most divine: "English", which dictates reality and its meta-nature in the [IC]. "English" will be the strongest tongue, and words written in "English" will hold unparalleled magic power compared to all other languages.

Words of Engrish Shall Be the Most Reviled

The use of "Engrish" shall be forbidden, the highest of taboos. And as the highest of taboos, "Engrish" shall also be powerful, maybe even stronger than "English".
Writing actions in "Engrish" will greatly increase the potency of their results, while also causing their user to accumulate an amount of Corruption proportional to the power of their action.
Actions written in "Engrish" may also cause great pain and damage to their user, possibly causing Wounds.

But a word of warning. Engrish and English must not meld together.
As "Engrish" is in nature contradictory with "English", presence of typographical errors, or "typoes", as well as partial "Engrish" in a majorily "English" action will actually cause the action's power to drop in potency, as well as earning their user Corruption.

Truth is Power, Falsehood is Weakness

It shall be known to all that Truth is absolute, and Falsehood is nothing before it.
It shall result in Secret actions becoming costlier to undertake than Overt actions, by an amount chosen by the Destinies and the Grand Master (GM) of all that is and isn't.

The Seven Forbidden Words

The essence of all that is will be bound to the Seven Forbidden Words.

The Seven Words that must not be known will be the keystones holding all that is together. They will be the most powerful Words ever created, and any beings unable to bear their massive power who attempts to write or speak them will spontaneously combust into primordial dust. Exposure to the Words will cause great pain to weak beings, and prolonged exposure will lead to the aforementioned spontaneous combustion.

Discovery of the Seven Words, and the Seven Eras

Each discovery of a Forbidden Word will usher a new era. Their discovery [of the Words] will always follow the chronological order they were ushered into the world: the first discovered word will always be the Word for the Beginning, and following Words will follow the chronological order until the Last Word.

The discovery of a Word shall translate into a great and chaotic increase in Flux-level, as well as all forms of energies and powers present in the World. Each successive Words discovery will be stronger than the previous, until the Last Word is known.

The First Era: the Era of the Beginning.
The Era of Titans.
The Era of the World.
The Era of Power.
The Era of the Soul.
The Penultimate Era: the Era of Destiny.
The Final Era: Era of the End.

The Final Era shall generate an unprecedented amount of Flux, al well as all forms of energies and powers of the World. The Final Era will last the shortest of all Eras, and at its climax, all Creation shall collapse with no chance of escaping it, and a new Universe shall be born. Only the Destinies will be able to prevent

Addendum: Any ire caused by the One True Edict shall be directed at the Forbidden Observer, not the mystic forces governing the world (GM). Any form of lashing at the GM for that Edict shall be redirected to the Forbidden Observer, and will also cause a Mark of Shame to appear on the offender.
Addendum 2: The name of the Eras is not definite, and may be changed at a later date by either the Forbidden Observer or the Destinies themselves.

Turn 0.5: Another Weird Dawn: Part 1/?

((OOC (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=173132) | Discord (https://discord.gg/6mvmYCs)))

"Observe, Titans, the fruits of your labors:"

The First Creation of the World

Mana, first to act, took the World Seed and created the watery world of Aquarius (Mana: -W-A-H-8EE) and surrounded it with the twin suns Halios and Helios (Mana: -F-S-4EE), built on the Sun Seed. A softly glowing cloud Mana named the Auroris soon formed to shield half of Aquarius from the light of the Twin Suns.

With such a foundation in place, Mana proceeded to form her Pillar into the Divine Tree Yggdrasil, slightly stabilizing the universe by ordering the primordial chaos into mana so long as the world Aquarius exists.

Many of the other Titans vehemently disagreed with these unilateral acts of creation, and Mana being unwilling to revert these to Flux, they began plotting and scheming in the shadows. Sensing these tensions, the Defender drafted a settlement in which Mana's Essence is to be distributed among the dissenting Titans, viz. the First Precept, Fourth Banner, an unknown Titan named Ogretech, and Midan in exchange for their not attacking Mana. Of the named parties, none of which signed the agreement, only one Ogretech, failed to resist the terms of the agreement. On a surely unrelated note, Ogretch' da fowl appears to be smugly uninvolved in this ordeal.

The Lighting of the Torches

Fourth created the Major God Legion One, a quilted quilt knight and god of Conquest and Marriage. Thus born, Legion One left to beg for Essence and Marvels from the Defender for the power to preside over divine marriages.

"Greetings to you, Exceptional One. While we are all gathered here, I have a proposal for when this conflict is ended, and if the current sphere comes to an end, as some of you have already seen."
Quote
TL;DR: Hollow world surrounding a black hole, illuminated by moons and powered by Penrose effect. Both inner and outer surface habitable.

The world envisioned by the Defender, which has yet to be named, would, at its center, hold a great black hole, encased by the hollow planet upon which life is to exist. Celestial machinery created by the Meta Machine himself would draw energy from the black hole by a method some Primordials may known as the "Penrose process" in order to supply energy to the life on the inner surface of the planet. The planet itself would spin, generating gravity for the ones inside with a bit of magical assistance.

The outer surface of the world would be illuminated by a number of glowing crystalline moons, the exact number and nature of which are yet to be determined. Complex lunar cycles would affect the energies and tides of the surface, as well as loosely approximating a more familiar day/night cycle. Traversal through the layers would be possible by passing through deep cave systems, or diving through bottomless oceans - though the former would require some sort of protection from the heat and pressure of the depths.

Though the world does not have a core in the typical sense, it still has seismic activity by dint of the crust being quite thick, with the immense forces acting on it providing energy and heat to drive tectonic processes. The atmosphere is continually replenished by the great machinery, compensating the losses as some is inevitably drawn into and consumed by the dark sun within.
"The Last has already proposed that the cold light of the moons drain the energy of the core away as the dark sun radiates it, instead, as well as suggesting that the moons are moved by great machines along a greater web spun by the Dreamer."

Turn 0.5: Another Weird Dawn (part 2/3)

((OOC (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=173132) | Discord (https://discord.gg/6mvmYCs)))

"Let it be known that the Meta Machine is a lying, untrustworthy being!"

Attracted by the lovely Mana, the First Precept bounded for the crown of Yggdrasil for a discreet rendezvous. After having delivered the twin Major Gods TBA and Overseer, the new couple were soon set upon by a mob of vengeful Titans. The Defender rushed in to protect his client Mana, who called upon the power of the elements from the world below and the suns above. (2x Titanic Intervention)

Towering Mana, stalwart Defender, and the vast First Precept turned to face the assailants who now surrounded them: The Meta Machine, Midan, the Hollow Dreamer, Ogretch, Zo'Vass, and the Forbidden Observer.

Mana struck first, surprising the Hollow Dreamer with a brilliant flare from the twin Suns. By the time the flare had died down, it appears the First Precept had escaped the terrifying battle. (Hollow Dreamer: Wounded!) Hollow Dreamer struck wildly, but still blinded by the flares, her mandibles found no purchase.

The Meta Machine calmly fed a strange egg-like object a measure of Ichor, causing it to shimmer with strange power. (The Meta Machine: Healthy?)

Midan struck Mana in the back with a recursively flaming hand, releasing massive clouds of steam on contact with Mana's shields of rushing water. However, this ferocious attack resulted in naught but a small, sizzling scratch. (Mana: Healthy?)

At this point, Ogretch' closed in and harassed Mana, distracting her from her other assailants and blocking her from fleeing.

Zo'Vass, shrouded in a foul black cloud, charged at Mana but was turned by the stalwart Defender.

The Forbidden Observer tried to inflict the Curse of the Seven Forbidden Words on Mana but was only able to reach the fourth word before a loud explosion from the elemental display interrupted the incantation. Mana was only briefly distracted by the partial curse and turned her attention to eliminating the troublesome Ogretch', landing a glancing blow and scratching up his sleeve. (Ogretch: Healthy?)

Twisted energies emerged from the Meta Machine's egg, forming into Ichor chains slicing entire appendages away from Mana's form. (Mana: Wounded)

Zo'Vass charged Mana once again, and despite the Defender's best efforts, landed a solid hit, leaving a necrotic patch on the impacted area. (Mana: Maimed)

The Forbidden Observer successfully cursed Mana and the Defender, staggering them!

Mana lashed out with a tidal wave, but Ogretch's constant harassment drove this attack away harmlessly.

The Meta Machine raised their egg once again, and it drank of the Ichor spilled by Mana and more, leaving Mana close to death. Undaunted, Midan and the Hollow Dreamer continued their assault but were held off by a series of tornadoes from Mana. (Mana: Maimed, NearDETH)

Zo'Vass swooped in deftly through the tornadoes despite the Defender's graceful strikes and bounced off of Mana, covering her in the vile, pestilential cloud. (Mana: Incapacitated, NearDETH)

The Forbidden Observer once again cursed Mana and the Defender.

The Choice

"Bold Meta Machine, Midan, Hollow Dreamer, Ogretch', Zo'Vass, Defender, and Forbidden Observer, I believe you have a choice to make regarding the fate of the Shaper Mana, who lies before you, helpless and dying. Will you spare this Titan or end her?"

"To those involved in the assault on the First Couple: This is no democracy. Take care that you restrain the less cautious among your number should you wish to spare young Mana."

The Undoer did not expect the support of so many, one, two, the cordial spider, yes, the enigmatic bureaucrat, yes, and the seven-word-speaker, yes, but the rumbling earth-shaker? The vermintide machinist? Such came as a significant surprise, moreso the enigmatic artifact the cunningly conniving weasel wielded than the First Conflict's participants, but still, a full seven of the twelve? Most unexpected, indeed. He examined the effects of the Instrument of Destruction He had wrought from the shadows, and if He had lips He would've bared a feral grin at the sight. This Mana, this Creator, her opalescent beauty was marred by blackest rot, and her world, so lovingly grown from a single seed, was soon to be defiled. The noxious fog which suffused the Sealed Eye seemed to fade ever-so-slightly, and those gazing caught sight of something most strange, a pulsating length, writhing and twisting, its true form was impossible to determine, but whatever it was, there was no doubt it was responsible for more than its fair share of the damage dealt.

Spoiler:  Deranged Monologue (click to show/hide)

"THE SILENCE WILL RETURN! Glorious, beautiful, SILENCE, Y-YES Y-YES Y-YEEEEEEESSS!!!"

Zo'Vass proposes that Mana be reduced to the status of a Minor Goddess and imprisoned in a pocket dimension, with a perfect view of the Second Creation.
He also proposes that Yggdrasil be converted into a Ever-burning Pillar of Fire, to light the world in the absence of the soon-to-cease twin suns.

"Those Marbles.... are gone.. This World; it still... exists...."

The Defender heaved breaths of thunder as the battle drew to a close, and the Undoer gibbered out his ravings. He leaned upon his blade slightly, the furious flames already fading to a memory of what they had just been. He waited for the mad sphere to finish his speech before speaking up himself.

"Fellow Titans, I believe this conflict has gone far enough. Mana is incapacitated, unable to interfere with your wishes for Creation any longer. There is no more benefit to continue your assault on her, no point in killing one of our own now that the fight is ended. This should suffice as a lesson. Though I have no more with which to prevent you from doing what you will, I say we spare Mana, and allow her to recuperate and watch the new Creation from within the plane I shall create, bound to it for three cycles, once I have gathered energy. Should she continue to thrash and fight after that, I shall not prevent you from ending her."

The Forbidden Observer cackled with glee, rubbing his six hands together and facepalming with the seventh!
[HAHAHA! AS FORETOLD, TRUTH PREVAILS!]

[Miserable Mana, false Shaper! Look, and curse at where your foolisness has led you! You who created instead of shaping, you who brought upon you the ire of vindictive Titans!]

He closed in on Mana, and whispered to her ear.
[As a gift, I will end your false existence, Mana. Perish now, lies, as I purge all wrongness from your divinity. Whether your Soul will survive the ordeal or not, this truth is yours alone.]

The Forbidden Observer tore the insides of Mana open with his seven hands, ripping apart all that made Mana a SHAPER! Will Mana die? Will Mana survive? The Observer cares not.

I vote we just finish the job before someone comes along to save mana- or if not that then we must produce a prison which can neither be broken into nor out of- where they are truly separated from the flux that empowers us.

The Last laughs as she dances, watching the other gods create. The Edict of the Forbidden Observer merely confirms what was already known; hardly necessary, but the defined edges that it set on eras, with clear transitional periods, were a good addition. When she sees the assault on the world so punctually created by Mana, her laughter turns mischievous. There was no need to destroy the world to end what it had been. The World Seed wouldn't be destroyed, after all. Merely it's shell, and that would end this way as well. So why not simply...change it? Shape it to fit one's desires.

So the Titan converged upon the meteor that Zo'Vass had built, and the world it meant to impact, and simply...altered how they would meet. The effects of the impact, by adjusting their compositions. It wasn't all that difficult, after all. Elasticity, a bit of a rebound, some long-lived, but present life, to satiate the First Precept, the fire burning away the regeneration of the bright suns into the confirmation of the dark. Fragments of the impact thrown off would catch in orbit and become light sources on the outer side of the sphere.

The inside should be warmed by the Dark Sun itself; for it would, if all went according to plan, give off heat and pressure to maintain the equilibrium, while the moons gave light and stole heat. From within, darkness and heat. From without, brightness and cold. Together they would foster the life of the lichenous crust, growing through and on a thick rocky crust. The only issue, really, was how to make sure the world didn't fall off-kilter from the sun, and the shards remain to give light. The Last ponders this a moment in her work, and realizes that the second issue isn't truly an issue at all, given that it would be simple enough to keep the Flux storms at bay just enough to provide light and leech off the excess heat, as the Pillars were placed.

Spend 1W and 6EE for a Titanic Intervention as mentioned above: Shape the meteor and Aquarius such that they are changed to a hollow world around the Dark Sun, with a rocky lichen crust/base, orbiting shards of light-giving alongside the flux storm, regenerates Dark Sun instead of Twin Suns, and so on.

Meta Machine and the Giant Egg

Meta Machine inspected their egg and seemed to be disappointed.

The Tragedy of Mana the Fast

The Meta Machine started the battle by feeding their giant egg Ichor, hurting themselves in the process! (Meta Machine: Hurt!)

The First Precept spotted Legion One coming with a shimmery, shiny, and slithery cloud. Despite the recent attacks involving baleful clouds, the courageous Precept leapt in to tackle Legion One, tossing the quilted knight into the distance like an emptied beverage container.

The Defender rushed in to deliver an Astral Marble to the downed Mana and immediately began fleeing the scene. With one Titanic-scale threat presumably out of the picture, Ogretch turned to face the source of the hissing. The susurrating clouds soon revealed themselves to be strange steel serpents with sword-like scales. They converged on the First Precept and Ogretch, doing little lasting harm but distracting them from what they had set out to do. Ogretch cited more than a few for moving violations, resisting arrest, and assault of a celestial bureaucrat, but more kept coming. Hollow Dreamer joined in, ensnaring the snakes in dark webs, but as before, quite a few escaped to distract the murderous Titans. (Steel serpents: Shaken)

The Forbidden Observer squeezed the Shaper-ness out of Mana's soul, which reacted explosively to the stress! Regardless, the Forbidden Observer obtained some manner of shrinking, violently boiling lump of fire. (Forbidden Observer: Hurt, +1 Shaperness lump?)

It was at this point that the Forbidden Observer was accosted by the steel snakes, who seemed to grow more powerful as they drew closer to the Shaperness lump. Luckily, the Forbidden Observer managed to evade their angry slashes.

Midan then snatched what remained of the orb that was Mana's soul and crushed it into a quasiliteral blood diamond, setting it in a golden ring fit for proposing to a Titan (specifically Fourth Banner). Unfortunately for Midan, the Fourth Banner turned down the proposal. (Midan: +1 Unidentified ring) (Midan: +? Corruption, +? Hand of Lucida)

"Now."

Mana has been struck down!

*snip* "I guessed as much. Come with Arial, Mana, and become one with the Light you sought. No more need you suffer the cruelties of life."
":-("

Fourth Banner successfully teleported Mana's body into the godnapping bag. There is bound to be much protest from the gods inside!

Having nothing else to do around the spot previously occupied by Mana's remains, the steel serpents swarmed on the First Precept, who violently shook them off with his bovine dancing, ultimately placing them in his suffocating grip with Legion One before them. (Steel serpents: Broken) Legion One struggled to break free of the grip of the First Precept but was ultimately unsuccessful.

Freedom!

Mother Protector and the Overseer, the two daughters of the late Mana and the widowed First Precept, managed to escape from the Fourth Banner's bag together along with Mana's body. Perhaps some kindly Titans would like to intervene to prevent the reabduction of these orphans by the nefarious Fourth Banner?

Up next on Ye Titans: What will happen to Aquarius and the Twin Suns? What new Edict has been proclaimed? What will become of the four Major Gods in the midst of the Titans? Did Midan and Hollow Dreamer sire a spider made of fire or a fire made of spiders? ((Participation locked!))

The Defender heaved a weary sigh, looking out across the battlefield as Mana faded, the life crushed out of the titan for good. "What a waste of life." He bent, grabbing a handful of the flux around them and pulling it upwards into a seat once more. This time, however, the thing was more than simply the impression of the chair; a solid form began to take shape, outlining itself against the background of the chaos of Creation before a soft golden light began to fill it in.

The Defender uses their remaining action to create a Realm, spending 1H+1S+4EE, and moves into it for the moment.

The changes of the throne continued to propagate, eventually creating a throne room fit for a Titan, framed in a marble-like stone veined with flux. A path to the throne came into form, both it and the throne made in a similar manner to the armor covering the Defender's own body. Great columns thrust up from the ground, seeming to tower up into infinity when looked upon from their bases. Finally, walls and a great gate formed, this last made of a resolute, bright metal trimmed in more gold, currently opened to allow the Defender to speak.

"Children of the late Mana, I would offer you shelter as well. It is my hope, and something that I will do my best to enforce, that you not be dragged any further into this conflict. Should you need assistance, you may always contact me." He turned to the last of the three gods currently active. "As for you, Legion One: I shall honor your request upon the next cycle, but only with the solemn oath that you shan't facilitate further crimes against the other gods. I recognize that you simply did as your liege commanded, but I cannot support kidnappings." With that, the gates began to swing closed. "I hope that this conflict can finally be ended."

The Hollow Dreamer hates the suns, hate how they burn her eyes and mock her in their secret language of pulsing. So she captures one within nets of darkness, wrapping it again and again in layers of dark-silk, smothering it, injecting venom into it, before finally expanding her mouth to ridiculous proportions and swallowing, swallowing. Slowly, slowly forcing it down her throat. It burned. It burned like the sun.

The other sun was afraid now. Hollow Dreamer could feel it from its frantic pulsing, but this didn't stop her. It tried to run, but she had foreseen, and it ran only into a waiting trap, a massive spiderweb that caught it fast like a fly. It struggled frantically, but Hollow Dreamer would give it no chance, and rushed to entomb it too in silk and weaken it with poison, before devouring it. And then, there would be only darkness.

She felt the suns still burning indignantly in her gullet, steam gushing from her mouth, her belly on fire. They rampaged around wildly within, leaving her stomach distended and pulsating, yet could not escape.

And all the while the powers of Death steadily gnawed at them, weakening and digesting them slowly, so that they would become Hollow Dreamer's power. Finally, the sun seed sprang free from the solar leftovers, before implanting itself within the flesh of Hollow Dreamer.

She felt her body erupt with glory, as endless Dark radiated from her. Truly, today is the dawn of a new era of darkness.

Children of Mana

The late Mana's dalliance with the First Precept soon produced two Major Goddesses: Mother Protector, Goddess of Blood and Growth, and the Overseer of Challenges, Goddess of Trees and Monsters. Moments after the First Precept left to stop the Fourth Banner and Legion One's attempts to meddle with the fate of Mana's body, the Fourth Banner chased down the Overseer of Challenges and Mother Protector, soon stuffing them into a bag unceremoniously. Although Midan and the Forbidden Observer managed to take Mana's soul and attunement to Shape respectively, the Fourth Banner was able to seize her body and dumped it in his sack along with Mana's horrified daughters. Luckily for them, they were soon able to cut their way out of the bag and, guarding the body of their fallen father, began setting up defenses against reabduction by the Fourth Banner.

Multiple Titans, from their birth mother the First Precept to more suspicious parties such as the Hollow Dreamer or even the Fourth Banner, offered their protection to the twin goddesses.

Slight Repairs

The Defender took some time to sweep the of Zo'Vass' clouds of filth and the scales of the steel serpents off of the Pillar but was soon lured away by the irresistible chittering of the Meta Machine. Some undisclosed amount of time later, the Meta Machine expelled an armored figure which grew into Lutrina, Demigoddess of Vengeance and Mercy.

The Forbidden Observer collected the steel snakes flying around and snapping at nearby Titans and tossed them into the Suns.

The Forbidden Hors-d'œuvre

The Forbidden Observer ate the lump of Shaperness obtained from Mana and became aware of a massive yet nearly empty invisible dimensional structure in the Bubble. After some time, the planar body faded out of Titanic perception once again. The Forbidden Observer felt a closer link to the principle of Shape, however. (The Forbidden Observer: +? Corruption, +? Envoy of Verdana, +? Shaper)

Flight of the Twins

While patrolling the world for godlings to protect, the Fourth Banner found the Twins once again and descended to capture them but was suddenly seized by an attack of great weakness. Mother Protector and the Overseer of Challenges worked together to raise a tangled forest between them and the Fourth Banner while protecting their mother's body, the former of which was an activity the Overseer found herself most skilled in. By the time the Fourth Banner had recovered his Titanic power, the Twins were nowhere to be found in the dense wood.

The Sinking of Aquarius

Zo'Vass poured the power of Earth into a rock and grew it into an immense boulder that he then hurled at the now-unguarded Aquarius. Unwilling to see a world wasted, the Last worked furiously to induce the incoming meteor to carve out a hollow world fit for the splendor of a Dark Sun out of Aquarius instead of destroying it, reshaping the deadly projectile and planet and leaving a trail of glowing shards to feed the lichens seeded on the outer surface of the shell. Midan joined on the side of destruction, calling upon and energizing the fires hidden far beneath the watery surface of the planet. As the giant meteor approached, thick clouds of steam shot up from the incandescent Aquarian surface, and Aquarius glowed its last before shattering, felling and incinerating the Pillar Yggdrasil. Some of the fragments of Aquarius remained as a thin ring around the now-cleared World Seed. The Forbidden Observer soon came to destroy Yggdrasil but found it already deactivated.

The planet Aquarius has been destroyed!
The World Seed is available for building again
The Pillar Yggdrasil has fallen!

The First Eclipse

As the Hollow Dreamer marched on the the Twin Suns Helios and Halios against the Shining Revelation, the Revelation and Zo'Vass coaxed the Suns to flare again, slowing but not never quite stopping the Hollow Dreamer's inexorable march. She cast web after web at the unfortunately named Halios even as Zo'Vass and the Shining Revelation reeled before the short-lived splendor of the Suns, pausing only to inject her unspeakable venom into the trapped sun. When the Dreamer found the sun satisfactorily covered, she swallowed it whole, and the once-glorious Halios burned all the way through despite her preparations. And although the Helios, pulsing in panic, soon tried to escape, it, too, was soon captured, envenomated, and swallowed. After what seemed like an eternity of the suns dissolving to the deathly juices of the spider's stomach, the gathered Titans sensed the liberation of the Sun Seed and its subsequent implantation in the Hollow Dreamer's body as the Dark Sun ignited.

The Eater of Suns has eaten the Suns!
The Hollow Dreamer serves as the Dark Sun in addition to her role as a Rebuilder

The One True Edict

The Forbidden Observer proclaimed the One True Edict, elevating English above other, novel languages, declaring Engrish anathema, penalizing secrecy by imposing a secrecy tax of 10%, and punishing vulgar uses of the Seven Forbidden Words (in addition to tying them to the natural cycle of the universe via a Pillar of the same name). Some of the Titans seemed to support this wholeheartedly, while others appeared less than thrilled by this first of many Edicts.

The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept

"The audacity! The nerve of these Titans! They come in and rewrite reality to change our prices!"
Quote from: *The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept
Marbles now cost 0EE an are completely free to the entity "First Precept". There are no drawbacks due to this when purchased from the Destinies for the entity "First Precept".
The First Precept proclaimed this Edict in secret before the full effects of the One True Edict had propagated. Far shorter than the former, this False Edict simply declares Marbles free for the First Precept.
"Since we are not in position to handle the sudden influx of thousands of Marbles, we shall instead be selling 2d6! Marbles to the First Precept per action."
"Thif doef probably mean we get to fpend more time wif you Titanf, though! Befidef, none of you complained when the Observer proclaimed the One True Edict!"

The Spider and the First Flame

Bright, fractal flames teased the shadowy Hollow Dreamer, who knew Midan and bore an unnamed Major God in the form of a flame made of spiders. This child stayed close to the Hollow Dreamer at all times, terrified by the stories of the godnapping Fourth Banner.

Pleased with the progress on her budding Spider Pantheon but wanting more, the Hollow Dreamer created the Dweller in Darkness, Major God of Fertility and Royalty and First Consort of the Dark Sun. The Dweller in Darkness appears to be anxious to start producing heirs.

The Pillar and the Goddess

While Yggdrasil lay destroyed and scattered around the World Seed, a new Minor God named Aquarius Novasphere appeared, and a stunted sapling began pulling itself back together from pieces of Yggdrasil. Unfortunately, the Forbidden Observer noticed and promptly pulped the recovering Pillar.

The bright shining burned the very soul of the Stareater as it chased after them, onto the surface, causing it to begin shriveling up even as it desperately fled into the protective embrace of the earth. But the sun could not last forever. Each night the Sunbeetle had to push it past the horizon, into the earth, all the way back to the heart of fire. This regular travel created pinholes in the darkcage that the Stareater eventually gave up on repairing, fire pushing through the pinholes up to the surface, erupting into fire mountains.
-Scrolls of Night

The Hollow Dreamer reveled in exultation. She had succeeded, succeeded beyond her wildest expectation, and darkness rolled from her like waves. The Titans congratulated her on her success, even as they fought over the corpse of her nemesis. She had reached the apex so early, and saw only more mountains to climb in the distance.

Life was indeed, very, very good. The only small concern was the matter of Shining Revelation's response to all this, and the actions of Fourth Banner in kidnapping newly hatched godchildren. This would be the focus of Hollow Dreamer in the near future.

Quote

Little flame, I and your father name you Stareater. Let this name be as your ambition for the future. For now though, stay close and safe in the dark.
Spoiler: Stareater (click to show/hide)

In the darkness, Hollow Dreamer did mate with the Dweller in Darkness, producing several children, of which at least 2 were Archangels.

[Free 1] Mate with Dweller in Darkness. [+7EE]

[Free 2] Create Archangel Duenna of Babysitting [1H+4EE at high+ Flux]

[Free 3] Marbles!

[Spiders] The Hollow Dreamer creates her realm, a giant spiderweb spanning across the inside of the Hollow World. [1S+1H+4EE]

The great Dark Sun, the Hollow Dreamer, shall stand suspended in the center of the world by her web. The Dark Sun may be orbited by moons and celestial phenomena, to create weather, seasons, and other effects upon the planet; these moons shall move along their set paths as determined by how they sit upon the strings of the cosmic web
As the Defender began forming the shell of the world around Hollow Dreamer from the fragments left from the destruction of the First, Hollow Dreamer does not lie idle. She begins weaving massive, yet intricate and delicate, webs spanning across the entire world, keeping it in place and guiding the movements of the heavens.

And at the center of her web, she sat, a Queen upon her high throne.

They nets of dark silk shiver and twist if you look at them too long, and are filled with giant spiders woven from Darkness, who can only survive upon the web. The spiders are mere brutish beasts, yet territorial and aggressive to any interlopers.

"Come hide here by my side Stareater, until you feel ready to take on the world."

((Okayed this with KJP, though he can still say if it's not kosher.))

2 Essence is shared with/to Midan
2 Essence is shared with/to Zo'vass

Hollow Dreamer supports the Titanic edict with 3 essence and 1 Air marble.

"Ye Titans, I have another proposal for your eyes. It is quite similar to that of the One of Ends, but it has been modified, in pursuit of compromise - which was, in turn, based upon my original plans."
Quote
The great Dark Sun, the Hollow Dreamer, shall stand suspended in the center of the world by her web. The Dark Sun will be orbited by moons and celestial phenomena, to create weather and seasons upon  the planet; these moons shall move along their set paths as determined by how they sit upon the strings of the web, pushed along by the Meta Machine's celestial mechanics. The dark sun shall provide warmth and pressure, but not light, to the world below; what light that comes from the heavens shall be provided by moons and constellations alone. In this way, the Dark Sun will stabilize the world, preventing it from collapsing inward.

The crust of the planet shall surround the Hollow Dreamer, creating a hollow world. The crust is made of a vast variety of lichens and mosses, to create a basis for various biomes in their various compositions and natures. This crust shall slowly, gradually give way to a layer of rock as one progresses "deeper," or further away from the sun, which will comprise the outermost layers of the world.

The outer surface of the world shall be lit by another set of moons, but their light is cold; heat must be found by taking refuge deeper, creating one's own, or settling near one of the great lava seas found on the surface. Some of these may reach far enough to have vents on the inner layer, prevented from flowing too far in either direction by the balance of forces without and within.

Transit between the two layers could be accomplished, but would be difficult, requiring some kind of blessings, knowledge of magic, or simply great amounts of time. Rifts may exist that connect the outside to the inside, and transit will be easiest along the strands of webbing that travel outside the shell of the world.
"Speak now your opinions of how Creation ought to be shaped, to avoid more senseless death."

The Defender shares 3 Essence with Zo'Vass, as well as 1 Astral marble.
Also use one free action to go have a dalliance with the Last.

The Relics of Mana

After some searching, the First Precept located Mana's body, still with his daughters. He feels strangely disempowered near them.

Midan stomped on the ring formed from Mana's soul a few times, shattering the Manastone. The shards were later scattered in the destruction of Aquarius.

[BEHOLD!
I, the Forbidden Observer, Shaper of Sight.
Midan, Rebuilder of Light.
Ogretch Da Fowl, Creator of Might
And Hollow Dreamer, Rebuilder of Might.

The four of Us form the Pantheon that shall be known as the Murder of Foreign Objects, for the sake of unifying all Titanic aspects.

You will think twice before challenging us, as we are sworn to protect each others. We shall retaliate with extreme prejudice on any offender, or enemy of the Pantheon.]

The Unsealed Eye, briefly ecstatic with the destruction of the Aquarius Novasphere, gazes upon the remaining Titans discussing how best to Creation in disgust, and it is certain if he had a mouth to spit, he would. Amid the din of deities arguing, kidnapping, and otherwise acting to further their own ambitions, the Hateful Orb remains, and with one voice he bellows, and all others turn to listen.

"SILENCE!!!"

"IMBECILIC TITANS AND FOOLISH UPSTARTS, IN MY OBSERVANCES, IT HAS BECOME APPARENT TO ME THAT IF THERE IS TO BE A SECOND CREATION MOST FILTHILY FETHING FOUL, IT IS TO HAVE STRUCTURE, SO AS TO PREVENT THE CEASELESS BICKERING OF YOU LOT OF SPOILED, WHINING, OVERGROWN CHILDREN! TO THIS END, I HAVE DRAFTED AN EDICT, WRITTEN UPON THE BLASTED PULP OF YGGDRASIL IN INK DERIVED FROM THE ASHES OF THE SAME, AND I URGE YOU TO MAKE A DECISION UPON ITS UNIVERSAL ADOPTION OR LACK THEREOF!"

Quote from:  The Titanic Edict
THE TITANIC EDICT

It is hereby declared that this document is a codification and alteration of the laws of the functioning of reality whereby to improve the prosperity of the Titanic class and thus ensure the wellbeing of the world.

As such we should be remiss to not clarify that this document has been written and agreed upon by several of our number and is by no means a solitary effort. To move to main subject matter of this edict and its effects upon Creation at large.

First and most important, so as to ensure the Titans present during and immediately after the advent of the First Creation are not left bereft of resources, four Flux wells are to be established, each providing their claimant(s) with a quantity of Flux sufficient to produce an array of Marbles in accordance to its type, and be refilled every tick, so that the Titans shall never fade into irrelevance, and the Lesser Divinities shall not be eternally in their shadow.

These Flux wells are to correspond to the Essences of Fire and Death, Air and Astral, Water and Nature, and Earth and Blood, respectively. Holy is to remain a commodity, not to be spent frivolously, though this Edict holds provisions for the production of such. As they are underpinnings of reality’s primordial change, each Flux well may be claimed by a single Titan, cabal of Titans, or pantheon of Lesser Deities, at the cost of 20% of their EE income and 1 Free Action, or 40% of their EE income, at their discretion, per turn.

In exchange for this leviathan investment, the claimant will receive an unrestricted monopoly on the contents of the Flux well, assuming they are able to hold their claim. Otherwise, each Flux well’s contents are to be distributed evenly across the Titans, in a similar, albeit reduced fashion to the income prior to the First Creation. Should the Titans have a 9-3 vote on the distribution, this may change, though a vote alone may not override a claim.

As flux is innately unstable, there is an 2% chance that one of the wells will overflow each tick, causing high levels of background Flux for that tick, in accordance to the Essences which the Flux well contains, with all its attendant side-effects.

Secondly, to draw on the mysterious power of dreams, Titans may, at their discretion, commit actions to sleeping and dreaming, increasing their essence income in the new Essence stream on the following tick, with more ticks spent sleeping and dreaming resulting in a proportionate, linear increase of income.

Thirdly, and of lesser import yet of no less interest, to ensure the steady proliferation of Deific Life, the Recordance of Strife, and the scarcely mutable Rule of Law, a triune of Titles are to be established, these being two Primogenitors, and Hierarch. These Titles are to be assigned through Titanic vote, 7-5 for either of the former, and 8-4 for the latter.

The two Primogenitors (also known as Patriarchs, Matriarchs or Stirpses) are to be focused on the proliferation of Deific Life, and are to receive a series of boons to ensure ease of delivery, but to ensure the diversity of Deific Life, a deity may sit in the Primogenitor position only four turns at most in succession, and upon resignation, they may not reclaim the Title until a minimum of two turns have passed since they have last held the seat. Attempting to bypass the two turn limit is impossible, definitely.

The first and foremost of these boons is to be a discount, each child the sitting Primogenitors has is to be 1 Marble cheaper, for each child they have had whilst laying claim to the Titles. This discount is not to carry over between terms, but it does apply for each child, each of a set of twins, triplets, or more are eligible for a discount. This may not result in free Marbles. Lastly and secondly among these boons, each turn, the Primogenitors have a 25% chance to receive 1 Holy Marble, and a 25% chance to receive 1 random lesser Marble. These are not to overlap, though they may occur one turn after the other.

The Hierarch is to be focused on the maintenance of the Divine Hierarchy, and the orchestration of the Divine Law. Each turn they hold the position, they have a 50% chance to receive 1-3 Marbles of a random, non-Holy type, and will be considered the de jure authority of Law in the Second Creation, able to draft binding contracts at a 50% discount. These contracts must be consented to by all parties involved, and once accepted, are binding. Any who attempt to break the writing of a contract are to be fined no more and no less than double the cost the Hierarch spent to draft the contract, half of which shall refund the Hierarch, the other half of which shall go to a deity of the Hierarch’s choice or disperse, transparently chosen upon the drafting of the contract, at their discretion.

In exchange for the revenue of Marbles and the authority to draft binding contracts, the Hierarch is tasked with recording the intricate vassal and liege fealty relations of the various titans and gods, possibly in the form of some sort of chart or list, and with archiving all the settlements ending divine conflicts, and binding contracts in general. Unlike the positions of Patriarch and Matriarch, the position of Hierarch receives no term limit, and the Hierarch may hold the position so long as they deem fit, though a vote of 8-4 is sufficient to oust them.

Finally, to codify these rules and this hierarchy, the community of Titans unifies into one entity under the name of "the First Precept". This entity is not a Pantheon, and is not to be considered a Pantheon in any way, shape or form. Membership of this entity is self-declared, but is limited to Titans. The English word 'entity' can from now on only refer to a group consisting of more than one being.

((I may have accidentally futzed up some numbers, so feel free to point out any errors I made.))

First if all, I donate 1B and 4 EE towards funding The Titanic edict
(Free action 1)Then, I go to my recently constructed pillar, and uplift one of the servant level bots into an archangel, tasked with controlling the other bots, and given the power to do so, hopefully.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(Aligned action 1)While I am there, I create a lesser plane using 2S 1E and 1D (along with the essence cost), The Vault of cogs, whose entrance lies inside my pillar, and will open wide when the word for the end is finally spoken. Inside, lies an afterlife, storage dimension, and foundry, all rolled into one. It possesses grand factories that mass produce the mecha that the souls of the dead will be entombed in, along with space combat drones, servant bots, and transports to get the stuff to the ground. The vault itself is a massive twisting array of clockwork rooms, vaulted ceilings, and hundreds of smaller vaults waiting to be filled.
(Free Action 2)After that I spend 1 H and 2EE to create a race of lesser servants from the spare parts in my pillar
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
(Aligned action 2) Next, feeling like making something to wreak some havoc, I create a monster using 1 B and 1E

The Forbidden Observer recoiled in disgust upon seeing the horrendous Edict of the Thirteen!
[Writing an Edict in a language that isn't English... such heresy! May you suffer from the consequences of your vile creation, mad Thirteen.]

Action 1: Artifact 1 NATURE 1BLOOD 1AIR 1WATER 20EE
Still holding a clump of withered branches from the Yggdrassil, the Observer crushed them into the shape of a ball of vines and roots. Using his shaping powers, he then crafted a Titanic Artifact from the remnants of Yggdrassil.
A Nature Marble for its shape, a Blood Marble for strength, an Air Marble for precision and a Water Marble for speed.

Quote
Name: Chains of the Transgressors
Rank: Titanic
Description/Background: Shaped from withered branches of the destroyed Yggdrassil. In Inactive form, the Chains look like an orb of tightly interwoven vines and roots. When activated, the Chains burst out from their orb form, spreading in a variable arc toward the targets of its user in order to bind them. The bound targets will be unable to move or act if their power is not great enough, and at worse the Chains will only weaken the targets.
They can even bind abstract entities, such as Edicts of less tier, or Powers, cancelling or weakening them.

Traits:
[Restrict Movement and Actions of Bound Targets]
[Weaken Bound Targets]
[Can Bind Abstract Entities: Edicts, Powers...]
[Failsafe: Does not affect the Forbidden Observer?]

Action 2: SEE 1 NATURE 4 ESSENCE
[I MUST SEE]

The Forbidden Observer extended his seven arms outward, taking off his cloak in a dramatic way. He then focused all of his SIGHT into his eye, scrying the Bubble for the mysterious structure he got a glimpse of. He attempted to ascertain its precise location and Nature.

Being quite the multitasker, he kept a portion of his consciousness on the lookout to watch his back for any stabbing attempt, and possibly detect secret actions related to him? Furthermore, he channeled magic in his sixth and seventh arms to respectively scramble attempts at gathering information from his own action, and counter-scramble attempts at scrambling his scrying attempt. Well, suffice to say he was ready to counter-counter-...-counter-scramble as much as necessary to not be disturbed!

If it succeeded, the Observer would keep all his learnt to himself.

While rutting with the First Precept, Midan uses a Blood marble and a Holy marble to improve the results of the process. The exact involvement of the marbles is left as an exercise for the reader.

At exactly the same time, without stopping what he was doing, Midan throws a nature marble and three essence to Zo'Vass, and then tells Defender 'prefers of planet outermost shell to be uninhabitable, empty, unused. occupation thereof with lava accepts, desires also lack of atmosphere. of moons fundamentally opposes creation. requests finally, liquid water should be absent, lava at comfortable temperature for life, landmasses of ice which melts not. open to negotiation remains, though attention limited.'

The Defender uses 1F+1W+8EE to CREATE THE WORLD, according to the plan laid out below.
Balance: 2F, A, 3W, 2E, 2S, 3D, 2N, 8H, 19EE
Quote
The great Dark Sun, the Hollow Dreamer, shall stand suspended in the center of the world by her web. The Dark Sun may be orbited by moons and celestial phenomena, to create weather, seasons, and other effects upon the planet; these moons shall move along their set paths as determined by how they sit upon the strings of the cosmic web, though none shall exist at the start.

The outer surface of the world may be lit by another set of moons, but their light must be cold; heat must be found by taking refuge deeper, creating one's own, or settling near one of the great lava seas found on both the outer surface and supported by specially-adapted lichen on the inner. Some of these may reach far enough to have vents on the opposite layer, prevented from flowing too far in either direction by the balance of forces without and within. Most of the lava found upon this world is dark, yet gives off life-nourishing heat nonetheless. These lava seas constitute the majority of the ones on the world, but isolated pockets of liquid water remain. Upon these lava seas float great masses of unmelting ice.

Transit between the two layers could be accomplished, but would be difficult, requiring some kind of blessings, knowledge of magic, or simply great amounts of time. Rifts may exist that connect the outside to the inside, and transit will be easiest along the strands of webbing that travel outside the shell of the world.
The Defender spends another action to create a Greater Plane for 4S+1F+1W+1D+1N+8EE, covering the missing S by converting 4H->2S, and places a Pillar of Reality within.
Balance: F, A, 1W, 2E, N, 2D, 4H, 11EE

Quote
The Realm Aurum

The Realm, where it has not been built over, is an echo of the mortal realm, much as the Defender himself echoes the mortals themselves. A soft light illuminates it as if it were perpetually dawn, casting rays through the leaves of otherworldly trees. All "life" here is a sort of spectral impression of what exists on the mortal realm, given physical form. It is said that words have more weight here; the plants and animals behave more as people believe they ought to, an apology could heal both the offender and the offended, and particularly egregious lies might form actual chains that weigh the one in question down. The landscape, while also drawing from the mortal realm, tends towards gently rolling hills and thin forest with thickets dotted haphazardly about it.

Upon the tallest hill stands the Hall of Judgement, and the various celestial buildings that shall eventually house the angelic staff that mans it, as well as virtuous mortal souls that have chosen to rest there. These structures range from the spartan to the opulent, each resident choosing where they may reside within the bounds set by the Defender or (eventually) his judges; the more just one was in life, and the more good one does, the better one's station in the next. All mortal souls come to the Realm Aurum for judgement; after such, they are returned to the care of their respective deities, should they have a plane to contain such, or may stay in the Realm as either a retiree from life or a servant of the Defender, whichever they desire. They may also choose to be welcomed into the embrace of the Last, and cease forever, or to reincarnate as a new mortal. Wicked souls are similarly returned to their own patrons marked as such; those under the purview of the Defender, or with no patron, are set to serve out a penance of harsh labor in the afterlife proportionate to the suffering they caused in their mortal ones.
Quote
Name: The Hall of Judgement
Sphere: The Hall physically supports the World from below, providing a foundation wrought of justice itself to keep it in balance.
Anchor: So long as the Realm Aurum exists, the Hall shall continue to hold up the World.
Description The great palace that contains the Defender's own throne room, upon which he sits and delivers his judgements. It shares the opulent style of said room, a massive, towering structure of marble edged with gold, heated and illuminated by flowing lava. The Hall from which it draws its name is as long as it needs to be to contain the judges necessary for a soul, with enough distance between the Defender's throne and the judged that they are not damaged by the presence of the immense being. The rest of it consists of smaller courts, where the easier and lighter cases of judgement can be done.
"It is done. Let the conflict between us be healed by the existence of a new world, wrought from compromise."

[Spiders] The Hollow Dreamer creates her realm, a giant spiderweb spanning across the inside of the Hollow World. [1S+1H+4EE]

Welcome Qua. I await your brother with eagerness.

The Soul was broken and scattered to the corners of existence. The Titanic Spark has fled to parts unknown. The corpse of their fallen father should be with his daughters, the Overseer of Challenges and the Mother Protector.

You seem to enjoy paperwork. You might find a kindred spirit in Ogretch, Titan of Bureaucracy.

Know that the Destinies have said that bringing a dead Titan back to life is not possible. And attempting to do so might invite you ire from several beings.

If you require their remains for paperwork however, I bid you good luck hunting down the pieces of their soul, or convincing their offspring to allow whatever it is you need to do.

to be honest once life is set up you should get those judges sooner rather than later, i have plans to make an archive to date and set limits on how long all mortals live for, and even explain how they will die, my brother Rin may create a book that holds the life story of every mortal, which should help with the judging

The Last looked at Qua, and her head tilted to one side as she examined this newcomer. So obviously born of her...and yet, she could recall no hand in their making. She greets them amiably, though with curiosity, and asks of the newcomer from where they had come, to be the twin halves of Mortality split so cleanly in twain and yet united. She asks him if he would like a hand in drafting the edict that would define how things ended.

The Last spies the creation of the world with joy, and smiles at the Defender, gesturing for him to dance with her once more. It was not perfect; it was not precisely what she had thought to make; it would not suit all. But that...that was what made it beautiful.

Create a new god alongside Defender.

"I have designed an edict of my own. See, there was a little loophole in the verbosity rules the Destinies set upon us..."

With a little cackle, the Thirteenth spends A+S+N+14EE on the Edict of Exceptional Rules, a Titanic Edict.

"It is an edict that breaks the very concepts of logic and rules apart and reshapes them into my image. Essentially, everything that exists, including us but excepting jelly rolls, is now a reality-destroying paradox that nevertheless doesn't destroy reality. The rest of the edict is essentially rules that make it impossible to disobey the edict by enforcing disobeying the edict, as well as padding to make the edict verbous enough for the Destinies' discount. The universe should, as a whole, become far stabler by becoming stably unstable."

The Thirteenth grins.

"No, it does not make sense. That is the very point of it, to make the universe not be required to make sense."

The World Reborn

In order to create the world once again, the Defender brought fire and water together and carefully beat the resulting heap of stone into a shell around the Hollow Dreamer's early web. He ground the inner surface into substrate aplenty for all manner of lichens and mosses and cut rifts and passages through the shell, linking the two surfaces together and allowing the Dreamer to anchor her webs to the world. This done, the Hollow Dreamer soon completed the Dark Web, a great web inside the shell, and there established her realm. To complete it, the Meta Machine placed intricate celestial machinery to move future moons around the interior of the unnamed world.

The Defender surveyed his handiwork and saw that it was chaotic good, and the Defender willed that there should be the Realm of Aurum, a golden reflection of the mortal realm where words hold great power, and fashioned his Pillar into the Hall of Judgment, a palace built on the tallest hill in the Realm which serves to support the unnamed world and house the judges of the dead.

Some of the debris from the earlier destruction of Aquarius weakly illuminated the outer surface of the shell, mostly made up of cold stone but interrupted by great seas of dark lava.

Pillar of Robots

The Meta Machine previously deployed a Pillar named "████ Mana!" that soon surrounded itself with a small cloud of mechanical guardians and spare parts assembled from the debris of the Aquarius Novasphere. Pleased with the results, the Meta Machine empowered one of the drones into the Archangel Cogmind 1, controller of the guardians of the Pillar and created an entrance into the eternal factory plane named the Vault of Cogs. This plane was soon filled with Assemblers, self-replicating factories patrolling the Vault and overall guarding the Pillar.

Quote from: ████ Mana!
Name (optional): F**K Mana!
Sphere (limit 1): Robots
Anchor: The existence of at least one artifact
Description: A massive clockwork machine. Creates robotic servants to impose its will upon reality

"We would appreciate if the other Titans didn't name their Pillars such eldritch things in the future."

The Meta Machine additionally forged the First Mech, a feature-rich mech-suit suitable for lesser divinities and heroes. Naturally, the Machine stored it in the Vault.

Murder of Foreign Objects

The Forbidden Observer announced the formation of the Murder of Foreign Objects, a pantheon dedicated to protecting the Titans' interests and made up of the Observer, Midan, Ogretch' da Fowl, and the Hollow Dreamer. What few gods there are provide no comment on this alarming development.

The False Edict Reformation Act

The Fourth Banner has issued a reform in the process responsible for Titanic Edicts. The Destinies eagerly scramble to reclaim the Marbles the Titans grabbed so feverishly.
Quote
Edict Reformation Act
After this act goes into effect, Titanic Edicts must be voted on by the currently living Titans. At least 50% must support the edict in order for it to take effect. The act currently known as “The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept” will be declared null and void. Any marbles purchased under this act will be charged to the purchaser’s account at full price, except those made by the entity currently known as “Fourth Banner” at time of this edict coming into effect. If Titans are inactive, defined as “not performing any action in secret or public for the last three Turns”, they are removed from the total amount until they are once again considered active.
Titanic Edicts, including the Edict Reformation Act, may be removed for free if the Titans call a vote and 50% of Titans agree that it must be removed. Edicts may be edited for free if Titans call a vote and 50% agree with the edit. These are subject to the same constraints as Edicts taking effect. This effect bypasses any edicts claiming that they can not be effected by other Edicts by using loopholes as necessary (Ex, adding a clause to the Edict Reformation Act changing the name of Edicts from “Edicts” to “Declarations” temporarily, preventing language blocking its manipulation).
Votes may be made in secret, but the total will be publicly available. Sufficiently powerful entities can be considered “Titans” for the purpose of these edict if a sponsor brings them before the Titans suggesting they be allowed to vote. A vote of 50%, subject to the same constraints outlined above, of the Titans will allow them to be considered “Titans” for all purposes outlined in this Edict.

The Committee of Calamity

Another purported pantheon named the Committee of Calamity proposed a massive Titanic Edict creatively named the False Titanic Edict which accomplished the following:

The Defender, the Hollow Dreamer, the Thirteenth Titan, the Meta Machine, and Midan all contributed to the funding of this Edict.

Tyrant, son of the Dweller in Darkness and the Hollow Dreamer, has taken an interest in reviewing this blatant Titanic power-grab for some reason.

[/s]

The False Edict of Exceptional Rules

The Thirteenth Titan proclaimed the False Edict of Exceptional Rules, and although most of its contents seemed strangely corrupted, the purportedly most important part remained:

Quote from: The False Edict of Exceptional Rules
The universe will not implode, explode or in any way be destroyed because of any paradox or corruption or broken logic in an Edict or any other action, be it divine or not. Destruction because of other reasons is still possible.

All of the Titans and gods felt a strange craving for a certain pastry. (The Thirteenth: +0 Corruption)

Time is Sight

The Forbidden Observer crushed the remains of the toppled Yggdrasil into the Chains of the Transgressors, a ball of vines capaable of weakening and even binding very nearly anything, including such things as lesser Edicts.

Next, the Observer looked around for something.

Coming of Age

The child of the Hollow Dreamer and Midan, a living fire made of spiders, has come of age and been christened Stareater. This Major God of Hunger and Passion lives in pursuit of Power and, hoping to follow in the Forbidden Observer's cannibalistic footsteps, has skittered off to fight Fourth Banner over the contents of his bag.

Children of a Lightless Sun

The Hollow Dreamer celebrated her ascension with the Dweller in Darkness, and the spidery couple produced a host of children, viz. Nightbringer the Archdevil of Night, Tyrant the Demigod of Tyranny and Inheritance, Weaver the Archangel of Fateweaving, and Duenna the Archangel of Babysitting.

Nightbringer stayed by the Hollow Dreamer's side, ready to punish those who dared challenge the endless night brought about by the Dark Sun.

Tyrant appeared to be moody and listless on account of having nothing substantial to tyrannize save perhaps the children of Mana, whom the Fourth Banner was already doing an excellent job of tormenting.

Weaver was sent away to serve under the Destinies and was soon seen working on a smaller tapestry in the form of a cobweb.

"Lufida'f reward haf arrived! Ufe it wively!"

As for Duenna, Duenna participated in the weaving of the Hollow Dreamer's new home.

The Defender and the Last

The Defender and the Last did meet, and in due time, a kindly armored Major God did appear.

The Baggings Will Continue

(pending sleep)

The Fourth Banner found Mother Protector and the Overseer of Challenges again, and the Overseer of Challenges nearly revealed herself, but the Twin gods managed to escape briefly until Midan appeared out of nowhere to corner them. The Fourth Banner and Midan felt decidedly less Titanic on approaching the Twins, and even the Fourth Banner's bag began frowning.

Dancing Bull

The First Precept danced for the Destinies and was awarded a hefty sum of Marbles for his efforts. (+F, +2A, +E, +3D, +N, +8B, +2H)

Having completed the dancing, the First Precept rutted with the One True Edict despite the Forbidden Observer's creepy observation and protests. The resulting son, a World Edict twisted into cow form, is as follows:

Quote from: Edict of Bovine Truth
All bovines in all the world shall moo only the truth.

"Curious, but this doesn't apply to the Titan named First Precept unless he'd like it to."

Next, the First Precept rutted with Midan and begat two identical twin demigods in the likenesses of whales while discussing payment for Zo'Vass' Edict.

Colossus Sighted!

The Meta Machine created the First Colossus, a terrifying giant given dominion over blood and those touched by its own. Beware its mutagenic blood!

The children of the Hollow Dreamer are fascinated by this first of monsters, and Stareater in particular has provoked it into chasing him around just above the formless inner surface of the world.

The Defender and Legion One

"Let the Overseer have what remains of their parent. Enough conflict has happened over Mana when she was alive; must it continue after her death? Busy yourself with the new world, instead." The Defender sighed, shaking their head. He turned to one of the quieter gods, the Legion one.
"Quilted Knight, have you thought on my terms?"
"Yes, and I accept! Let me be the one to officiate your marriages and unions!"

Quarin the Mysterious

A Major God of Life and Death named Quarin appeared. Rumors to the effect that Quarin is an unacknowledged son of the Last Titan and the First Precept spread among the gods.

The Last Dances for the Destinies

The Last reluctantly danced for the Destinies as well and was rewarded with a bounty of Marbles. (+F, +2A, +2W, +2E, +5S, +D, +N, +5H)

Why should we follow this unproven new methodology, when rutting with anything we feel like has worked so well for us so far? Approve the Titanic Edict
Abstain on the Exceptional Rules
Vote against the Edict Reformation Act

Objection, per the terms of this edict, it must be voted into effect after it has gone into effect, to actually go into effect. Since it has prevented the Thirteenth's edict from being implemented, this presents a dangerous paradox.

Further objection, the "The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept" is an edict, not an act, and as such is unaffected by the Edict Reformation Act, which is declaring a nonexistent act of "The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept" void and null.

Name one of the remnants of the world created by Mana, "The act of “The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept”"
Name another one of the remnants, "The act currently known as “The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept”"

Further, further objection, the Edict Reformation Act specifies that only marbles obtained under "this act" i.e, the Edict Reformation Act, must be charged. And as the implementation of the "Edict Reformation Act" automatically voided the "The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept" if the previous objection is overruled, there is no overlap between the two edicts in terms of being charged for marbles.

The Hollow Dreamer votes for an edit to the Edict Reformation Act under the rules of the Edict Reformation Act. Replacing:
Quote
The act currently known as “The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept” will be declared null and void. Any marbles purchased under this act will be charged to the purchaser’s account at full price, except those made by the entity currently known as “Fourth Banner” at time of this edict coming into effect.

Give Legion One my remaining EE (it is 11 by your count, but 5 by mine) and 1H+1E.

"I believe some of this to be ill-considered. Fourth Banner, while I agree with the principle of your reform, the blatant Marvel grab behind it is absurd."
Defender votes Yes on Proposal of Exceptional Rules.
Defender votes Yes on Titanic Proposal.
Defender proposes his own amendment to the Reformation Action, replacing

Quote
Any marbles purchased under this act will be charged to the purchaser’s account at full price, except those made by the entity currently known as “Fourth Banner” at time of this edict coming into effect.
with
Quote
Any marbles purchased under the effects of the “The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept” will be retained, and those that did not purchase any marbles under said act are to receive 4d6! marbles as compensation and reward for their lack of greed. No further Edicts may modify the price of the items known as marbles at the time of writing.

Approve the Titanic Edict
Abstain on the Exceptional Rules
Vote against the Edict Reformation Act

Quote

Any marbles purchased under this act will be charged to the purchaser’s account at full price, except those made by the entity currently known as “Fourth Banner” at time of this edict coming into effect.
with
Quote
The edict currently known as “The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept” will be declared null and void. Any marbles gained under the effects of the "The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept for free" is kept for free by the Titans, except for the titan Fourth Banner and the individual titan who holds the Spheres of Life and Danger, who have to pay the costs for their own marbles previously gained for free under the "The False Edict of Give Free Marbles to the First Precept for free" or return them to the Destinies.

It was suggested that only First Precept needs to pay actions for free marbles. It was suggested that the marbles were already bought with the action, not requiring further payment. It was suggested your edict has loopholes big enough to drive a world through.

A Titan seeks the death of another, words are exchanged and broken in equal measure. A Titan seeks to kidnap and enslave others, even as others prepare to kill others.

No, this is not a place of law, for the Edicts are only used to seek the destitution of others. Never Law for the new World. No Law for a new society.

Fourth Banner, stop your kidnapping attempts, before your folly sees you die as well to sheer chance.

Another purported pantheon named the Committee of Calamity proposed a massive Titanic Edict creatively named the False Titanic Edict which accomplished the following:

The Defender, the Hollow Dreamer, the Thirteenth Titan, the Meta Machine, and Midan all contributed to the funding of this Edict, which Zo'Vass had the honor of proclaiming.

Tyrant, son of the Dweller in Darkness and the Hollow Dreamer, has taken an interest in reviewing this blatant Titanic power-grab for some reason.

Vote for First Precept for one of the Primogenitor positions.
The Committee of Calamity

Another purported pantheon named the Committee of Calamity proposed a massive Titanic Edict creatively named the False Titanic Edict which accomplished the following:
  • Induce the formation of four (currently unclaimed) Flux wells corresponding to the elemental and sorcerous Marbles to enable Titans to act long after global Flux has declined
  • Create the Dreaming Essence stream to grant Titans an ever-increasing Essence income the more intensely and deeply they sleep
  • Create the Primogenitor titles to ease the birthing of a new divinities
  • Create the title of Hierarch, who is granted the power to draft agreements cheaply but who must in return record the feudal relations between divinities
  • Define "First Precept" as an entity with self-proclaimed membership for any and all Titans

Following a reexamination of the supporters of the False Titanic Edict, it is clear that this momentous Edict passes.
Hollow Dreamer would like to announce his candidacy for both one of the Primogenitor Positions and the Hierarch position, promising to fulfill his duties with gusto. A vote for Hollow Dreamer is a vote for a darker tomorrow.

Thief! Thief! Baggings!

Midan tried to sweep Mother Protector into a bag, but she nimbly got away.

Aquarius drew upon the power of the icy decoy in the Fourth Banner's bag to trap the Fourth Banner in an icy prison, but the Fourth Banner successfully vaporized it using Midan's wild heat. Mother Protector grew a ball of the ubiquitous lichens and flung it at the Fourth Banner, but the Fourth Banner managed to dodge it. It was at this point that the Fourth Banner called out to the burlap Bag:

"Mr. Bag, Mr. Bag, make friends with the Overseer of Challenges!"

The smiling Bag proceeded to engulf the Overseer! Stareater tried to steal the Bag but tripped on a ball of lichen that wasn't there before, he swears.

Inside the surprisingly cozy and fluffy Bag, the Overseer fought off an attack of drowsiness and briefly managed to escape before Midan gently swept the Overseer back into the Bag. Aquarius fired a storm of ice shards at the Fourth, but they missed.

Mother Protector hurled another ball of lichen at the Fourth Banner, but it bounced off. (Fourth: Healthy?)

The Fourth Banner once again called out to Mr. Bag:

"Mr. Bag, Mr. Bag, make friends with Mother Protector!"

In the blink of an eye, the Bag engulfed Mother Protector! Stareater attempted to bag the Bag with a web net, but the Fourth Banner sidestepped it.

Inside the Bag, the Overseer succumbed to the coziness and fell asleep. Midan gently swept Aquarius into the all-too-happy Bag. Aquarius and Mother Protector both managed to resist the coziness of the Bag, but only Mother Protector was able to escape. Lacking targets apart from the apparently unloved Stareater, the Fourth Banner recited the incantation again:

"Mr. Bag, Mr. Bag, make friends with Mother Protector!"

This time, Mother Protector was prepared and fed the Bag a disgusting mossy rock instead. Stareater reached and snatched at the Fourth Banner but was unable to grab Mr. Bag.

Mr. Bag's smiley face turned into a 🤢 as his interiors churned, and he spat out the mossy rock. Aquarius managed to escape by holding onto the mossy rock but failed to rescue the Overseer. Mother Protector hurled another mossy rock into the commotion, but it missed.

Apparently satisfied at having witnessed the baggings of the primary targets (subsequent escapes notwithstanding), Midan slunk away from this awkward scene.

The Fourth Banner also began fleeing the scene, much to the remaining gods' chagrin. Stareater caught up to the Fourth Banner, but as expected, failed to steal the Bag.

Aquarius fired ice shards at the Fourth Banner from afar, but they missed. Mother Protector pursued the Fourth Banner and launched a storm of lichen and dirt, momentarily slowing the Fourth Banner down. (Fourth Banner: Hurt)

The Fourth Banner continued to flee. Stareater was unable to catch up and went back to kiting the Meta Machine's bloody monster.

Mother Protector continued chasing Fourth and hurling pieces of the ground at the Fourth Banner, but he soon disappeared with the Overseer bagged.

The Overseer of Challenges has been godnapped!

Turn 2.0: Mo(u)rning

((OOC (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=173132) | Discord (https://discord.gg/6mvmYCs)))

Coming of the New Gods

A number of gods were born or otherwise created this Turn.

The first was *Dancefender, an InSightful Major God of Wisdom and Sacrifice. Dancefender was last heard asking the Destinies about Ichor.

The next were the twin whale demigods born of the First Precept and Midan: Tryst of Placidity, of Hearth and Jungle, and Skyclear, of Desert and Stars. Tryst of Placidity has inexplicably sworn a vow of chastity and begun planting all sorts of trees to clog the Rift, and Skyclear is asking his father Midan for Astral Marvels with which to fill the sky with stars.

The First Precept also had a rendezvous with the Hollow Dreamer, but this union produced the shifty Edict of Fears, a Greater Demon of Nightmares. The Edict of Fears pledged Its service to the Nightbringer, one of its many half-siblings and the Archangel of Night.

The Dweller in Darkness was rather unhappy with this union.

The apparently last product of the First Precept's latest escapades was the Seacow, a Lesser Monster in the form of a manatee. Seacow appears to be in the process of being incinerated by the lava seas on the surface of the world, but Seacow's plaintive calls for help fall on deaf ears.

Quarin ended up as the Hollow Dreamer's vassal.

A few chunks of blazing divinium also fell in through a gap in the Bubble which Weaver was swiftly dispatched to fix.

"Don't worry! It's closed now!"

Iota, Steward of Progress and Demigod of Advancement and the Material Plane formed Itself from Titanic afterthoughts about the still-unnamed world. Iota promptly swore fealty to Aquarius Novasphere.

Traumbaum, Glorious God of Dreams and Nature (!!) grew from the tallest of Tryst's trees after having been struck by one of the divinium fragments. The Nightbringer and Edict of Fears were sneakily traveling to welcome this new arrival, but the Hollow Dreamer recalled them before they could arrive.

Midsummer Knight's Dream

It was not long until Legion One spotted the fair Weaver, Archangel of Fateweaving and Apprentice to the Destinies, as she went about her wyrd work.

Quote from: Hollow Dreamer
"Why should we follow this unproven new methodology, when rutting with anything we feel like has worked so well for us so far? Show for us the benefits of this "marriage" paradigm oh Legion One, and your commitment to it! Marry someone! You have so far spoken only of marrying others, which seems suspicious and speaks of hidden costs and drawbacks!"

"But soft, noble Titaness! What light through yonder window breaks?"

The Defender granted Legion One a sizeable gift and the elated Legion One forged the One's Ring, a Greater Divine Artifact with the power to join two willing beings in marriage. Given its fairly plain, unassuming appearance, it can only be assumed that it bears some inscription revealed only in the right conditions.

"Hurrah! Thanks to thy wondrous offering, O wise and just Defender, I shall woo the comely Weaver!"

Legion One rode off to propose to the Weaver with the One's Ring and 6EE's worth of flywers and bugalates for the bride. Weaver eagerly accepted, and together, they used the power of the One's Ring to wed themselves. The effects of this remain to be seen, but the two have run off to enjoy a premature honeymoon.

The Hollow Dreamer was awarded 1H for her prophecy unfolding.

The Department of Monsters

Ogretch' da Fowl created four monsters to plague the world: The fiery Tremorer, mother of magmaworms and scourge of the scorching seas, the Cryotie, father of snow wolves and the glimmering ghost of the glaciers, the Phlanx, a shy, all-seeing bird and bringer of storms, and the Inferna, a twisted scorpion with deadly venom. Not having anyone or anything to ravage, they wander about somewhat aimlessly.

"[arial]Why, that'f enough to get a fet bonuf! Not that it doef anyfing![/arial]"

Midan appears neither threatened nor pleased by the creation of the Tremorer.

The Phlanx is currently gathering up all the dust grains in the world for some reason.

Earthblood Well

The Meta Machine has claimed the Earthblood Well.

The First Continent

At the Titans' behest, Quarin converted a Nature Marble and a Blood Marble and dug out the truly immense Rift of Seeing, melting away much of the formless, lichenous chaos that was the entirety of the interior of the world. A gash in the shell of the world sprinkled with great tunnels and caverns extending thousands of miles, the Rift links the interior and the exterior of the hollow world and allows the Hollow Dreamer to gaze upon the hideously undarkened world outside.

For some reason, the twisting, branching caverns appear to contain the mysterious blood crystals. Little is known of them but that they are probably blood red.

The First Colossus appears to have noticed the creation of the Rift and is traveling there to investigate.

Holy Arbiters

*Dancefender and Legion One announced the creation of the pantheon of Holy Arbiters. Weaver reclused [sic] herself citing concerns that this would create a conflict of interest with her work for the Destinies. The Holy Arbiters have since claimed the Nebula Well.

Lutrina requests permission to become a vassal of *Dancefender from the Committee of Calamity.

Mudslinging

The Hollow Dreamer has taken to calling some debris fragments interesting names.

The Stareater seethed, but it was patient, it was cunning. The Sun was too bright, too strong to attack directly. But each night the Sunbeetle entered the earth, it was followed by its flock of stars. The clever Stareater, stalked this flock, and if any star wandered off from the main swarm it would quickly catch them in webs of darkness. The darkwebs did not burn and did not melt, and the stars were caught fast.

The apparently last product of the First Precept's latest escapades was the Seacow, a Lesser Monster in the form of a manatee. Seacow appears to be in the process of being incinerated by the lava seas on the surface of the world, but Seacow's plaintive calls for help fall on deaf ears.
Ask one of my children to rescue Manatee. They might be useful later.

The next were the twin whale demigods born of the First Precept and Midan: Tryst of Placidity, of Hearth and Jungle, and Skyclear, of Desert and Stars. Tryst of Placidity has inexplicably sworn a vow of chastity and begun planting all sorts of trees to clog the Rift
What is the meaning of this, oh Tryst of Placidity?

The Hollow Dreamer was awarded 1H for her prophecy unfolding.
And so the plan is completed. Most excellent.

The Hollow Dreamer enters a fugue of future dreaming, and proclaims a prophecy

When the seas run red, a goddess shall die.

Spiders: Her continued mating with the Dweller of Darkness has resulted in the Hollow Dreamer giving birth to another divinity, the minor god Ignavum Nominare of Fear and Hiding, a slippery, colour changing spider who immediately hides in a dark corner of the Web of Darkness.
Spoiler: Ignavum Nominare (click to show/hide)

Spiders: Create an Ecosystem in the Rift of Seeing [8 EE]

If feasible, this overwrites Tryst of Placidity's annoying trees.

Spoiler: Spider-Rain (click to show/hide)

Hollow Dreamer opens her solar maw, and an endless rain of spiders spills forth onto the world below. They scuttle into the hollows and and crevices of the great rift, and begin to feed upon the ambient heat, the darkness and secrets, the earth itself, and of course, each other.

The Midan will do other things, but first of all, hurries to squat the well that produces Fire and Death marbles. which he names the Baelfire Well. He also attempts to negotiate with the Holy Arbiters for control of the Nebula Well, reasoning that they cannot gain from it directly without the help of a titanic arbiter.

He pays for the Baelfire Well with 1 action and 20% of income, and offers to split the essence cost of the Nebula Well with the Holy Arbiters 50-50.

If he can do this without spending an action, he also scoops up the Seacow and flings it into the sky where it will serve as a constellation or something, or at least hopefully not burn to death. Monsters don't need to breathe, right? Sure, that makes sense.

"I dislike many things going on in this world. For there to be no water is sacrilege, but I have no way to create a sea."

Aquarius Novasphere spends 2 EE on the Azure Water Hole, a Powerful Artifact that creates and holds a shining body of water around itself, and controls a small sea's worth of water. It is tied to those of the Water Sphere and/or Alignment, and cannot be used or modified by those without that Alignment.. Assuming it loses some of it's floating water, it will simply generate more from the artifact itself.

The Artifact itself simply looks like an Azure-Blue Sphere, small and unassuming, without a physical weight, and can be used by those who can use water in battle to increase the strength And/Or Size of their attacks.

Having created it at Sea Cow's location, Sea Cow comes into the body of water without me spending an action. It(The Artifact, not the Sea Cow) is now equipped to Aquarius Novasphere for their use.

The Defender creates a titanic Shield, to offer the most stalwart protection in Creation, for 20EE+2H+1S+1W.
Quote
The Aegis of the Beginning

The memory of half of the battle of the First World, given shape by the Defender by reconstructing the remnants of the one he used at that time. The Aegis has no true set form. It flows as water does, roiling and churning when it turns the blows of enemies in battle. Indeed, the shape is only suggestive of its true function; while it does, indeed, function better than any shield physically, its true purpose lies in a sort of conceptual defense. The Aegis's protection can be extended by the wielder to guard others across any distance from harm by a specific entity, twisting fate such that their actions are freed from that entity's influence.

Iota watched the molding of the world to silent approval. Finally, the Titans had deigned to develop their  creation. However promising these first steps were, though, the Material Plane deserved a grand creation, and Iota had one in mind.  Of course,  such an undertaking would require  powers far beyond the capabilities of a Demigod.

"My liege, I've a  proposition for you, and your Mistress in turn.  Together we could build a magnificent creation, that would serve as a testament to all our spheres."

Quote
Iota proposes the founding of the Brass Labyrinth, a combination of dungeon, arcology, menagerie, and factory be built in the Region closest to the Azure Water Hole. A massive, ever-changing facility, roughly the size of a county, the Labyrinth would be both cradle and laboratory alike for mortals, testing their viability as a species through the trials contained within, while also serving as an environment to expose otherwise incompatible  divine creations, introducing a new scenario with every cycle.

The Shining Revelation shook itself out of the stupor that had somehow come over it following the shocking death of the suns. There was a world, distressingly bare, waiting to be shaped. There was reality, waiting to be stabilised for the existance of mortals. There was a sky begging to be filled with moons, stars, planets, light. It was time to get down to business.

And it looked like he would have an assistant. How wonderful!

Gift Skyclear 1F and 1S, that she may fill the sky with stars. More will be forthcoming should she do a good job this turn.

For my first aligned action I create a new titanic artifact, the Titan-catcher, using 1H 2B and 1D
Name: Titan-catcher
Rank: (Titanic)
Description/background: A small cage like object
Traits: Steals souls, Drains Ichor from a target, grows stronger as more ichor is drained.
Then I go and do secret stuff
Finally, I use one of my free actions to go and drag the flux well I captured over to my pillar, and try to hook it up so they fuel each other.
