Recently started running into CTD issues with Ironhand, its related to this:

Someone in that ticket reccomended Gentium, i overwrote my font.ttf with that, and it looks fine and no more crashes. Just one major problem: the font is very small, and I barely read it.

How do you change the true type font size?

If you're running the Windows version, there's actually a way to fix the TrueType crash without using a different font (in fact, changing the font has nothing to do with it no longer crashing), but it involves some hex-editing:

2F063F : BE -> B6
2F07DD : BE -> B6

If you're running on Linux or MacOS, I can't help you.

I've been digging around and haven't found any answer, so I guess larger TT font size must not be supported

Resize the window, scroll the middle mouse button.  Hello larger font.

There IS an upper limit, you must be able to fit at least 80 columns of text on the screen.  Otherwise, it will select the largest font that allows this.

Yeah, that's the problem.  Even at the largest size any font I use is waaay less readable than the non-ttf default (but then I get names with levers and hamlets).

< 80 columns aren't supported in the game, period.  It's deffinitely a hardcoded limit.

Have you tried using a font that's more readable at small sizes?

I downloaded a font editing tool and changed the actual size of the glyphs in the ttf. file to solve this problem for my mod.

Font Lab 5.0 is the tool I used and it worked without any problem.
