I was going to do the same as Mutt, but then I realized I don't have Knowledge(local) either. This is why I like 13th Age's Background system, because it helps with abstracting out skills and making them more character/story driven instead. My character should have at least some local knowledge of important people, seeing as how she was raised as a noble, but I don't have the skill, so it doesn't work. If this were 13th Age, I would have a Background called "Raised by Nobles" or something along those lines, which could cover a variety of things like etiquette, local knowledge, or even, I dunno, fashion sense.
(Pssst! Can you guys tell I really like 13th Age as a system?)
So use Knowledge (Nobility and royalty) or (History) instead? Take 10 + 2 Int Mod gives you a pretty decent rate of success, especially if the DM follows "For starters, remember that not every use a skill requires a skill check. Performing routine tasks in normal situations is generally so easy that no check is required. And when a check might be called for, the DC of most mundane tasks rarely exceeds 10, let alone 15" and assumes your character would be familiar with the local nobles. Most people wouldn't need to roll Knowledge to recognise their family or friends, after all.
Also, Knowledge (Local) is misleadingly named; the stuff it actually covers suggests it should probably have been called Knowledge (Anthropology) instead.

* Tawarochir is displeased with the fact that the IC thread has fallen back to roughly page 5.

I've started writing the update.
Thanks for being patient!

Edit: Except for Tawarochir. He wasn't patient.

Personally, I'd recommend only two more combats, or some kind of intrigue or something happening either before or simultaneously.
I was asked for intrigue, so I'm giving you a game of Mafia.
Have fun!

And yes, I am smiling so hard right now. There's a person who can guess why. I'm grinning at you right now.

So, what Mutt and Guilhayl have is not, like, illegal is it? But it's not like we would get kicked out of the tournament or arrested or they would get killed right? That's why Mutt is on a leash yes?

Wait, did we already know it was Mutt? I mean, it's really not hard to guess after the conversation we had at the inn, and his current actions, but, did we actually know it?

I'm going to say that she doesn't know, but that action can stay if she wants to leave it. Call it a wild guess and Mafia tactics.

Three things.

One, I'm taking back Guilhayl, thank you very much.

Two, alpha'd.

Three, this is a very one-sided Mafia game.

I'm pretty sure that two characters have specifically picked up the scrolls already.
