Begin work on Chapter III: Elfin Crime Squad

Naturally, we would keep using the dwarf-fortress engine here... and this would be an expansion of Adventure mode, where you influence politics through your actions.

So yeah, you might start a few wars by kidnapping dwarfs and forcing them to take baths... but it's for the greater good.

Not sure that 'abandon dwarf fortress 20 years before it's completion' is a good suggestion for the dwarf fortress suggestion board...

Could work as a mod IMO. An entirely new game...not so much.

Said in jest much, lol.

It was floated around that wizardry could be a new mode, rather than condensed into adventure mode depending on how it turns out, so toady's mind is open to new modes where there's ample opportunity and gameplay to do so.

A political/group simulator mode i will say does sound interesting, suddenly switch into turn based strategy mode and start directing places for armies to move & settlements that require to be built.
