You are Imperial: The Fleet Arrives

You awake one day in a small clean white room, it is tiled with one door on he right, and a single bed, and table on the left. The room was tiny, and nondescript, but that is not the surprising part, the thing is you don't know your name, or anything about yourself and its beginning to scare the heck out of you. Just as you get up, and start to search the table for any info on who you are, or whats going on a speaker crackles, and a computerized voice comes through. "We have entered battle all hands to your stations, Squads one through five launch instantly. Everyone prepare for evasive maneuvers."

As its voice drops of you fall backwards as the ships quickly turns, and shifts its position making you fall even in the artificial gravity of the ship. You stand back up, and search the desk a bit more where you find a laspistol, and some ammo for it.

What is your Name?
What is your Age?
What is your gender?
What is your specialty?

This will be the Imperial Navy campaign, so there will be far fewer units, and any troop vs. troop battles will be small boarding parties on both ends (Though Tyranids will be slightly larger). Ship weapons will be divided into Weapon Batteries, Missile Tubes, and Special Weapons. This campaign will take place in the Segmentum Obscurus of the Imperial holdings.

Weapon Batteries will consist of six to ten turrets, or cannons of some kind, the type will be the first part of the name (EX: Laser Turret Battery). These will be the main weapons of all ships you will ever control, or see, and will most likely be the most important weapons/targets you will have. Weapon Batteries will be used as Anti-Missile weapons, main ship-to-ship weapons dealing small to medium amounts of damage to hulls, and even Anti-Fighter/Bomber weapons if need be.

Missile Tubes will be used to launch the varying projectiles you will have access to from basic missiles to the very precise armor piercing explosive missile. These will be your main long range weapons, and are extremely important early engagement weapons, because of this they will be the main targets of enemy bombers.

Special Weapons are things such as Railguns that can deal massive amounts of damage to ships even take out entire sections of an enemy's fleet in the process. Though these come with immense sacrifices, a few of which are the immense amount of space required, and massive quantities of energy that are also required to use them. For example a railgun can be the most important weapon in taking down a ship that far surpasses yours, but once it fires it will take a large chunk from your current, and reserve energy which could straing, or even force the shutdown of systems in decreasing importance of said system.

((And yes this is a poorly disguised bump filled with game related info.))

Turn 1: A Rather Nice Piece of Space-Able Junk

As you finish digging through your desk, and give up on your hopes of finding anything of use in it something falls out of a secret compartment on the bottom of a drawer. You pick it up, and see your name before everything comes rushing back to you, your Mira Yeskly a 25 year old female commander of a Sword Class Frigate in the 23rd Planetary Defense Fleet. With that coming back the importance of the situation becomes clear, and you tear the uniform out of your closet then sprint out of the door. On your way out you bump into several other people, and after several minutes you come to the entrance to the Bridge.

The six guards stationed their give you a quick salute before letting you in, and you tug your uniform the rest of the way on as you take your seat in the commander's chair. To your side your Astropath is in his small alcove, and his eyes are shut with sweat covering him.

One of the crewmen brings your attention to the screen as they say to you, "Commander, we have numerous small craft incoming! From what I understand its a rebel force who have launched from the nearby planets. The majority of their forces seem to consist of commercial freighters outfitted with mining lasers, and numerous personal craft equipped with the same thing. We have scrambled all three of the ten group Starhawk squads we have on-board. Even with those the enemy still outnumber us by a bit, and they have more Escort Class ships then we do. The main part of our fleet left to investigate some disturbances on the far side of the belt."

With that done your eyes look to the screen, and you see numerous commercial freighters bristling with mining lasers, and several of them have something mounted on the front that you can't make out. The crewman asks you, "Your orders Commander?"

Order two Starhawk squadrons to engage the modified fighter craft, the last remaining one we keep for the moment. Explained below.

Order all Sword-class frigates to focus fire on the freighters with (?)'s, then launch our last remaining squadron on a bombing run to finish the four, if they do die then refocus fire on the eight freighters.

Also, spread our formation out.

Yes, but theirs are either being repaired, or refueled, and will take a couple of turns before they can launch.

Name the frigate "Emperor's remorse" (because he has none)
I'm not in His godlike head, but I think He has. For retiring on Terra and letting Horus in command. For not listening to Magnus that was telling him that Horus will commit treason. And countless things He could have done during His 49.000 years of existence.
