How can I add dwarves
« on: September 15, 2014, 06:45:35 pm »

Not sure if this is supposed to go here or not.

I'm having an issue at the moment where I'm getting no migrants, got plenty of wealth just no migrants (beyond the first two waves), for the past 6 years. I am wondering if I can manually add some dwarves as a sort of "forced" migration wave?

Actually, talking with a friend of mine I think the issue is a dead civ. Such a shame.

Yep, dead civilization. You'll not have received any dwarven caravans. The first two migrant waves are hard-coded - they'll always come.

In cases like this I would hope that you could get some migrants from the overall world population of dwarves unless they are all dead...

If you retire your fort, will the Dwarven Civ be resurrected?

Foolprooof way to penetrate aquifers of unlimited depth.  (Make sure to import at least 10 stones for mechanisms)
Toughen Dwarves by dropping stuff on them.  (Nothing too heavy though, and make sure to wear armor.)
