An awesome couple of bundles on Gamersgate (NWN and D&D)
« on: January 11, 2012, 10:11:32 am »

Hey there, Alex Poysky (from www.townsgame.com) here.

I just discovered this awesome pack on Gamersgate. If you haven't tried Neverwinter Nights 2 out you probably should! It's at a really good price!

Here we go, and while I'm still looking, they have a pretty sweet D&D anthology available as well!

Dayum. That's a good price for the anthology. I'd totally get it I hadn't played each of those games to death... Only finished a few, but played them all to death. @___@

Its NWN2 as good as the first one? I read some really bad reviews back when it launched, but most reviewers are not that reliable.

...

And the commercialization of the humble indie bundle has begun.

The cat is out of the bag and can't be drowned anymore....

Edit: Not that I condone cat drowning!

I know right? 4 euros for NWN 2 is insane, and the D&D pack has BG1 2 and it's expansions, as well as icewind dale :P, the other ones are cool but I bought it for those :D.

I rather liked NWN2 and didn't realise it got shitty reviews until after I played it. Maybe I'm just willfully blind to the flaws in D&D games though, because there are a few D&D games that I liked that other people thought were bad (like Demonstone).

I am obviously getting baldurs gate and planescape, just to finish some games I played but... didnt fully finish (baldurs gate cause of bug-loged-save-game, fml) and planescape cause i moved and lost it.

As for neverwinter nights, the appeal there is to have a cool persistent online server to hang in... would you know/recommend any? I seek a little more... mature content, as in somewhat mature players and decent freedom (+ rp immersion).
