Scorpions with weapons are totally okay with me. Can they be imported?

That should be a new type of project, making a rug design in dwarf fortress (With accurate coloring)

Im pretty sure there's a rather famous case from a past major release in which a giant desert scorpion grabbed an axe and went on to axe some peasants down with it.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
VICTORY!

Edit: Wow, there's a few popping up now it seems, since I set the master engraver to work alone.

My engraver kindly recreated the bat killing the guy he took the axe off, so here it is:I could of sworn the bat was in it, but leaving it up anyway since no doubt this guy was like, the robin to his batman.

Is that what it is?
It seems like there's no bat involved in that engraving.

It only takes a second to show someone how you feel about them. The police call it "indecent exposure", but whatever.

Ok, so... you have a Stray Giant Bat (Stray is applied to tame non-pet animals), wielding a battleaxe that it presumably wrested from one of your dwarves, and this engraving shows the former owner of the axe hacking down another dwarf (tantrum related?).

It's quite possible that in the violence this bat decided to mete out justice in its own way; just a pity that it wasn't a Stray Bat Man instead.

It could be done. Scorpions are a better candidate though. Manipulating and trying to breed hostile flying creatures would be too tedious, and they're tougher so you'll get more mileage per animal. Anything you use will basically have to be modified so it can breed, preferably quickly.

First, you'll need a lot of naked migrants with multiple weapons.

Then, you'll need a lot of animals with a grasp token.

There's no other way to make wildlife pick up a weapon. It has to change hands through a wrestling move. The dwarf can't be unconscious either; that will just cause creatures to only target the head.

100+ migrants later, a scorpion will finally grab a weapon and be crowned king of the desert...

Never had a bat massacre people with an axe before.
EDIT2: Oh god, the bat has got a title now.

Could of sworn I copied a different engraving. Ah well.
I guess I have to check my engravings again, I'm sure one mentioned the bat as well.

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

I can attest that scorpions are pretty OP. The fun part is letting them spit webs and be seigers.

Playing with Dfusion I managed to convert my steel battle axe in Adventure mode into a Snodub McForgottenBeast's pancreatic tissue battle axe.

YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID.

Its syndrome killed every dwarf that ever came near. Your post was forgotten.

Dwarfs can be husked preliminarily, so they could last longer and not go knocked out/paralyzed.

Hm, what about injuries preventing weapon usage but not equipping?

edit: For example, not unconscious, but perhaps unable to attack? Not really an expert on injuries affecting combat capabilities.
