Just catching up to what's going on.

EDIT: I think Haspen is giving us a hint at this situation, although from what Charlotte said earlier it doesn't fit up, if it's true at least. Maybe Derick should duel this guy? I haven't looked at his stats so I don't quite know, but I bet that if we can nick him that speed ring it should tip the favors for them.

Really, we should be giving that speed ring to whoever is dueling that guy.

Actually, you're right. If Derick took the speed Ring, he'd top out at 23, becoming undoubleable.

However, he has 3 RES, so that's a terribad idea.

Hm, right. Well, maybe Seyena? She has high-ish RES and high SPD, she can avoid getting doubled with the ring and has a bonus due to using a spear against his sword. Course, this brings into question as to if wind magic is effective against her unmounted...

If she dismounts, she loses the strengths and weaknesses of riding a Pegasus. This includes the CON bonus that might help her evasion, as well as the weakness to wind magic.

Yeah, there's no way she'd survive an Effective, especially from Joz. Those things are brutal.

EDIT: HAHA WHOOPS, I was looking at Daniel's stats earlier! It looks like, with Killing Edge, Derick may actually have a chance at Joz if he can RP it.

He DID say all duels with Derick ended in a draw....

Being mounted never gave you a CON bonus, but rather a Weight bonus along with an Aid bonus.

EDIT: Like I said, I think it was Haspen giving us a hint as he did with the last duel in this game. Although Adrien never took the hint, but then again that isn't entirely surprising.

There were two terms of the duel being cancelled if I recall, it being either the death of one of them or the initiator dropping their terms for the duel. Instead of riling the other dude up, Adrien could of tried to get the other guy to drop the claim. Might not of worked, but it would of had a better shot than trying to take out a guy who was promoted and several times his level.

Considering Chris has 6 RES and would (barring eva) get near auto-doubled by Joz without the ring for 38 smacks upside the noggin, that's probably one best left for theory.

..Frankly, this is just ridiculous. It is going to be a pointless death, and it ruins part of the story. :/ And I am already saying "pointless death" because the chances of winning that thing aren't that big.
