You are OFFENDED by his UNTOWARD SUGGESTION, and inform him that he is not a GENTLEMAN. You can see the look of EMBARRASSMENT on his face, and he offers to MAKE IT UP TO YOU. The HUMAN PRIEST sort of STARES at you both, entirely CONFUSED as to why the two of you are HOLDING PALAVER instead of FIGHTING TO THE DEATH. You apply a CALMING SHOOSH-PAP to the PRIEST, and then inquire as to why the ELF WIZARD thinks the GLOBES are of ELVEN MAKE when you are in a HUMAN BARROW. He tells you that a LONG TIME AGO, the ANCESTOR of the HUMAN BARON lead a HOSTILE INCURSION to the PEACEFUL ELVEN FOREST, and DESECRATED the ELVEN TEMPLE OF HARMONY. He insists that the ELVES agreed to allow the HUMAN BARON to keep the SACRED GLOBES in exchange for limiting their FORESTRY and KEEPING THE PEACE. However, the UNCIVILIZED HUMANS chose to ignore the TREATY, frequently destroying PROTECTED TREES to use as MASTS for their HUMAN SHIPS.

You point out that there is not an OCEAN nearby. He tells you the nearby RIVER flows to the OCEAN. Acknowledging his EXCELLENT POINT, you ask him why a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE seems to be an idea solution. He says that the humans HAVE IT COMING. At this point, the HUMAN PRIEST protests, crediting the HEROIC SACRIFICE of HUMAN WIZARDS for the creation of the SEVEN GLOBES as a way to repel the ELVEN OPPRESSORS. The two start into a LENGTHY ARGUMENT, and you soon grow BORED with the POINTLESS DIALOG.

You INITIATE STRIFE, cuing some SICKNASTY BEATS to accompany the SNEAK ATTACK.

Round 1:
The WIZARD-HERO invokes a PHILOSOPHER'S LAPIS!
The WIZARD-HERO casts PROPEL on the LAPIS!
The ELVEN WIZARD is struck with the LAPIS and his arm turns into ESSENCE OF GOLD!
The ELVEN WIZARD takes 20 HP damage!
The ELVEN WIZARD can't use his right arm!

The HUMAN PRIEST casts GREATER SMITE on the ELVEN WIZARD!
The ELVEN WIZARD takes 15 HP damage!

The METASTAB KNIGHT prepares a METACREATION!

The SQUIRE OF RAGE is ENRAGED!
The SQUIRE OF RAGE charges the ELVEN HASTATI 1 and attempts a DOUBLE ARCSWING!
6 of the ELVEN HASTATI are hit for 6 HP damage each!
11 of the ELVEN HASTATI are hit for 20 damage each!
The ELVEN HASTATI 1 is defeated!
The SQUIRE OF RAGE has leveled into a BERSERKER KNIGHT!

The BERSERKER KNIGHT forms a UNIT with the SWORDSKELETON INFANTRY!
The BERSERKER KNIGHT orders the SWORDSKELETON INFANTRY to target the HASTATI 2 LEADER!
The SWORDSKELETON INFANTRY stabs at the LEADER 2 with their RUSTY SWORDS!
The LEADER 2 takes 15 HP damage!

The PLUCKY APPRENTICE makes a BLOOD SACRIFICE!
The PLUCKY APPRENTICE takes 10 HP damage!
The PLUCKY APPRENTICE has invoked a LESSER ANGEL OF BLOOD!

The LESSER ANGEL casts BLOOD BOIL on the ELVEN WIZARD!
The ELVEN WIZARD's flesh EXPLODES WITH BLOOD for 14 HP damage!

The DRAGONSLAYER SQUAD attempts to DISARM the ELVEN HASTATI 2!
6 of the ELVEN HASTATI 2 have their arms REMOVED for 10 HP damage each!

Round 2:
The SICKNASTY BEATS continue!
The WIZARD-HERO casts MASS DOMINATE UNDEAD!
The SKELETON INFANTRY 1 is DOMINATED!
The SKELETON INFANTRY 3 is DOMINATED!
The SKELETON INFANTRY 4 is DOMINATED!
The SKELETON INFANTRY 8 is DOMINATED!
The SKELETON INFANTRY 10 is DOMINATED!

The METASTAB KNIGHT attempts a FIELD OF BLADES!

comment to the squire of rage BERSERKER KNIGHT how that dastardly BOOM2 was both NASTY and VERY POORLY AIMED (it hurt his units). Ask if he will put up with such things.

COMPLEMENT the PLUCKY APPRENTICE on daring to try to counterspell a BOOM2 from the ELVEN WIZARD.

INVOKE WIZARDLY CLONE, then proceed to give the ELVEN WIZARD a sound DRUBBING.

[[the DRAGONSLAYER vs HASTATI looks like it will go to the DRAGONSLAYERs, as the HASTATI are mostly disarmed ; our skeletons outnumber theirs, and will probably help with the HASTATI, with US, the BEZERKER KNIGHT, and the PLUCKY APPRENTICE to deal with the  ELVEN WIZARD, finally the METASTAB KNIGHT and the HUMAN PRIEST can cover any unexpected eventualities, or just continue to INVOKE SHENANIGANS. Hopefully the ELVEN WIZARD will be a bit distracted by 2 of US attacking him that the APPRENTICE and KNIGHT can perform a FLANKING ATTACK]]

Instead of INVOKING a WIZARDLY CLONE, perform a RITUAL OF REFLECTION, followed by a SUMMONING; something NASTY, BEHIND the ELVEN WIZARD. ALTERNATIVELY, use his ELVEN HESTATI to craft a BLOODSTONE.

He used a WORD OF POWER, and a WIZARD trumps an APPRENTICE, especially when the APPRENTICE doesn't have all of the SEEDS needed to COUNTER.

Were the APPRENTICE using a COUNTERSPELL against a SORCERER, the spell would have had SERIOUS BACKLASH.
