I really feel like my plot should consist of things that show everyone's character that they're not all that, but I feel like it would be mean.

On the other hand...breaking Icarus' spirit utterly is just so appealing~

Keep in mind people, just because YOU can't see the motivation behind the NPC's actions doesn't mean there isn't one, or that it isn't something that directly benefits their cause.

That said, if I go with my 'world-taking over organisation' plot, which I probably won't since big-ass corporations and the like have been done to death by this point in this game, they'll basically avoid fighting the PCs whenever possible unless they're absolutely certain they can win(by which I mean rolling would waste everyone's time because anti-teleportation field+fifty 100-stat base guys showed up in their ambush).

Nobody wants their character to die or get captured and of course surrender is never ever an option for the PCs, no of course not, and if they do surrender and aren't instantly executed half you bastards will complain that the NPCs aren't being savage and ruthless enough and the other half will fight back about not wanting their characters dead and it's just one big clusterfuck.

On the other hand, everyone will also get pissy about the bullshit Faerie and the Wild Hunt can pull, anything I might do Lore-wise related to the Four/Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and True Gods are guaranteed to start fights with Elf and Smurf unless I plan hyper-extensively with them, besides the special abilities I like giving bosses to make them actually more than giant stat-balls making you all pissy because you don't get special abilities too and want to auto-win every encounter (except, maybe, like, PN, since he actually was glad of a challenge; I don't think you lot would be pleased if Dalia/Alice ended up with cancer from fighting some super-radioactive enemy, though)
