(This is actually the description, i tried to make it as distinct as other race mods, also)

Hi, I'm Jerry The Hellbound here bringing you the Solari race, but first history time! (Cue the relaxing classy music. Turns on heavy metal music No, not that butto... agh for Christ sake walks off the stage 5 MINUTES LATER Ahem, A Solari is essentially a fallen angel, due to them being humanoid birds, unlike the actual angels. (also i must mention that their all supposed to be female, i'm not sexist, don't think that, is just how it is, but if you want to play a male solari, the caste is there) its kinda vice versa with them, what with them being the rejected ones, therefore they were exiled back to the ground, mostly naked (actually completely but hey) and equipped poorly, They are bigger than rocs (supposedly but thanks to game limitations their as big as humans :/) practically dwarfing them, but they still keep their powers, sure they may be somewhat demigods, with them having regenerative abilities and healing hands ( :-\ actually you called it healing tears. whatever, shut up.) for those who need it, poison spit {WIP} that paralyzes, gives immense pain, and makes them pass out after sometime, still feeling pain, until they start to get numb and stop breathing, and last but not least, immensely valuable and strong materials for organic humanoid components! (I do believe you may have messed that part up. Possibly, shup up, thanks to Cheeseoburgor its Fixed!) Golden Feathers! Silver Talons! Diamond skin! Steel Fat! (Take that Superman.) Ruby Muscles! Adamantine Bones! and Cartilage made of Sapphire! (Gem stone hardness time! Ruby and Sapphire are Corundum Gems, and corundum is very close to the hardness of diamonds!) Steel Sinew,Tendons and ligaments aswell, like angels, they have the blood of gods, Ichor (or at least the real one) Golden Ichor! They also have the ability to breathe dragon fire like, well, dragons.

This is the code for poison and healing tears, also their blood install this in your Dwarf Fortress 0.42.03\raw\objects\material_template_default.txt file  :D

This is the ENTIRE and current code for my Solari Race also about some extra things: im sure you know where to put this if your modding your game, but ill put it here anyways, put this inside your Dwarf Fortress 0.42.03\raw\objects\creature_standard.txt file,

This is also for the transformation regen, i got confused on where too dont worry, Dwarf Fortress 0.42.03\raw\objects\interation_standard, just slap it in there

If you're going to use the modular ones, put both the creature_solari, interaction_solari and the material_template_solari in the objects folder in your raw folder, if you use phoebus, put the graphics_phoebus_solari in your graphics folder in your raw folder

Also ArkFallen helped me on some of the things here by telling me what were the problems, like the material things, which i still think i messed up, Cheesoburgor helped me by fixing the problem of the materials that i messed up. Putnam helped me with the healing regen transformation thingy, used lanp's mod as an example to somethings, also if you spot a flaw in the code, tell me please. Feedback also would be appreciated!, thank you!
I also used Phoebus' roc texture as a template. Thanks Phoebus!

You might want to check the errorlog before releasing a mod as there are some strings that are unnecessary/dont work.
That being said i didnt try the mod out yet (will do later) but from a quick glance i can say that i like the idea of it

That being said i didnt try the mod out yet (will do later) but from a quick glance i can say that i like the idea of it
i hate to say it, but i do knot (see what i did there? puns... great) know how to check the errorlog it seems i also have to update one thing aswell

The error log is in the root of the Dwarf Fortress folder in a text file named errorlog.txt.

If I could make a suggestion it would be to make your creature modular. Make it so that it has its own raw files instead of making the user copy and paste things into existing files. This will make it so that it plays nice with everyone else's mods in addition to being easier to troubleshoot, install and remove.

I was thinking on doing that, but I thought it would be better to do so you could merge it together with  installed mods in the same files, and since it was only a few things didn't think that it was necessary, but making it more convenient sounds good, might do that tomorrow, can't really do it on my Phone now can i? :P also I'll update the thread

Why are you making puns about knots? It doesn't really work unless there's some kind of reason for it, like, if you happened to be a rope somehow, or were talking to a rope. Are you a rope jerry? Because I somewhat doubt that. You can't just go making puns for no reason, it's knot even funny that way.

Why are you making puns about knots? It doesn't really work unless there's some kind of reason for it, like, if you happened to be a rope somehow, or were talking to a rope. Are you a rope jerry? Because I somewhat doubt that. You can't just go making puns for no reason, it's knot even funny that way.
Still, neither are you.  :P
One problem that I'm stumped at, (no that is not a pun, the joke is that I'd realized it with the expression of, "Well this isn't new") is that the paralysis thing doesn't work correctly, I need it to affect only the legs and arms, but everything I try may just do nothing, or cause they re lungs to paralize, or i think that is what is what's happening. The pain number is high enough that they don't pass out, however sometimes they do, I  I think I can fix that. Also i gotta fix the transformation problem, well it works perfectly but  it turns them into a solari for a bit, can't cause too much harm but hey, also every time I transform everything falls to the floor. This i want to know how to fix. Thank you.

Update: V0.6:Grounded

I wasn't able to create a paralysis effect on them, so i hope pain and unconsciousness should suffice for now. :-\

I've been thinking on what to add, however the things im thinking are possibly a little too much considering my skill level of token and code making. Making suggestions would be nice, and if their very big (which if so i might have quite a big amount of trouble, but hey) I might add a poll containing them and if anyone can help me with either that be awesome to hell's end. ;D

Thanks to Shhhhhchool (trust me normally im seething inside, not bored. i rage. but eventually i burn out. leaving me with nothing but some boring crap and also the inability to smile or even crack a grin. nothing. and im like this at the moment, so uh yeah, normally i do like to believe that i at least radiate joy on what and when im writing the other things, like the introduction of this mod. i was actually quite entertained at that time.  thanks on reading that and this if you did btw. along with nearing 500 views!) i haven't had the ability to even touch my mod. and i apologize greatly for this... also what i said up there with suggestions would be highly appreciated... maybe this could become into a group mod... i don't know anymore...

Alright! after staying up all night  (:o) i'm in the verge of uploading an update! i was still in testing progress but i just thought i needed to upload an update, only error is the second thing in the change-log
Change log:
#1 Noticed that the heal interaction towards another creature caused some problems, due to it creating chaos while in the form of a solari, breathing fire and everything everywhere. so i made another creature that's harmless, and is made to generally help and destroy this problem, say hello to the Regeneration Gore Pile! look at its description in game for more info 'bout it, however this only affects the heal interaction, not the Transpoison.

#2 Im still having a small problem with the paralysis syndrome in the TruePoison. but it should help in a fight,  its just the paralysis thing. no worries!   ;)

#3 Added a silly thing that i got from as i was looking through the game raws. Its called the Angelic Fluffy!, by expulsing a fluffy podge to an enemy it turns them into a fluffy, warm hearted, warbler! this may not stay in the mod though!  :D

#4 i tried to use something i learned from lanp's mod: Regenerator, which is essentially Bio-hazard/Resident evil 4's re-generator with Alex Mercer's (Prototype) armored blade, one inconsistency its that its made of bone, anyway, i learned the [CDI:TARGET_VERB:] thing but i don't know how to use it, maybe i do, after all i did use lanp's mod as an example, still didn't work. whelp, RESEARCH TIME.

#5 After completing Prototype yesterday, (SPEEDRUN) i got the idea of the race having the ability to switch from forms, like right now, the only one is the Roc form, then I'm thinking of making a werewolf-like Roc form, a dragon-like one, and serpent-like form, maybe one thats like a serpent-like human/elf form. using the transformation interaction, as if Its regenerating. but im not sure how to replace or change a body part.

So after all this time, I'm back.
Yes, there where quite a few annoyances which led me to stop playing DF, along with tthe release of the long awaited Stardew Valley, etc etc.
I'm back to modding, along with a bunch questions that I had over the mod. Like the paralysis poison, fixed that. I'm also sticking to the idea of morphing into creatures that are related to the race. Like the one I recently added is the "True Angel Form" and I still haven't put the back story of the Solari, imma do tat right now. I'm on the phone so I can't really upload anything and only update the text, and I'll only be able to do that in say this weekend. But the silverlining is that the bugs that aappear might alk be fixed, also for those psychopaths like me who like to make utter suffering on their enemies, I also added something to help with that. And there are more to come.
Test it, play it, Win it (OR DIE TRYING) and after all that, feed back would be appreciated even at the first stage. Expect the update this weekend, however I may be able to work around it and update it today or tomorrow 8)
I'm also very aware that right now their poison power is machine guns, I haven't been able to think up a good cool down

HOLY CRAP. OK, SO AFTER MAKING GRAPHICS FOR MY MOD I FORGOT TO UPDATE THE OLD FILES THAT I THOUGHT I WAS EDITING AND THE ONES THAT I WAS EDITING WAS IN THE RAW FOLDER, I COPIED THE FILES FROM THREE MONTHS AGO ONTO THE WORK I DID BOTH TODAY AND THE SCARCE BITS THAT I DID IN THE PAST MONTHS, loosing all my progress... Feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack I search for sources to find what I recently did. And boy did that shameful advertising I did before helped! So after literally reading my code on the phone and typing it all in the computer, hour later, I'm done copying, Granted nearly all my work that I did today is gone which was practically the entire afternoon.  >:( but I know what I did, so I can replicate it, I was going to upload the update today if it hadn't been for that bs mistake , and yes I made some graphics, but it was untested so I decided to copy my mod files, then this whole thing happened. Back to square one *anger seething in his face, pushes a detonator and  fire and bombs explode outside as chaos unravels on eve-rest, a fictional city.* for those that want to help me with this bloody train wreck, someone posted an image in this thread in this http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=79036.795. As a fellow otaku or anime fan if you'd like to call it that, I am wanting to know what anime the pictures from.
