The reason I love Dwarf Fortress so much is for little things like this. The after-the-fact realisation that the monster who is moping the ground with your favourite kid is himself a child slave from a country which lost their lands.

Ouch, what are Ryukan's skills? Just want to know if I'm a warrior in a garden or a gardener in a war, cuz I'd rather be prepared

As construction on my new Castle commences, I have found that the married life is quite... fun, shall I put it. My dear Cemir has proven quite the good bedmate. I can say that we are happy, and I do expect a strong healthy Boy to come soon.

Now it's dinner time and Cemir is making that Gods amazing Salad she makes for me and I just love it, and when coupled with Prickle Berry Wine, just heavenly

Ah, child murder. We never lack that over here at Watershield.

My second turn's unnoficial goal was to turn everyone into vampires, and it backfired so bad, I ended up making the fort a more efficient, safer and friendlier place.
Apparently they evolved a taste for everything I love and care about

Ah, child murder. We never lack that over here at Watershield.
Some of my friends who are following my work outside this forum are starting to ask me questions.

"So.. You like drawing children getting maimed?
-N-no it's - it's the game"

Also, let's first deal with the invasion before we discuss castle :D Whatever plan we choose, this will take an aweful lot of time. 150 something blocks per level just for the wall, plus 500 something blocks for the floors per level...It will take years to gather the materials

HA, now that's funny. In seriousness, good job on willing to draw acts of child murder... not that it is a praiseworthy act, but still

PTW and to get humaned in game if possible.

Something suitably violent for someone named Ases. The name literally means danger in the human language.

I know, I named my latest adventurer Ases Clawpelt because he's a Jaguar Man, and a hunter in the Accidental Jungle. He killed a six-wolf pack earlier tonight. I think Ases is my go-to adventurer name now.

ETA: I'd prefer a female soldier if one's available. I have Daz studio but I've got way more options for female characters on there than male ones.

At this point, we had to make a choice. It was our plan, or Duslud's life. The kid had been stabbed repeatedly at this point, his guts were open, his leg badly pierced, his left hand gone. We made our choice.

A heavily wounded Duslud was transported to the hospital in a hurry. We had to at least try and save him. In the meantime, the army moved and engaged the raiders on the bridge. Mostly slave troops...But very bad fighting conditions.

Nevertheless, the troops present on the bridge were reduced without casualties. More raiders were waiting on the other side ; my men engaged them at once.

I have plenty of female soldiers to chose from, so be my guest ! I'll make a short list, have your pick and I'll give you the full details :

Shieldbangers :
• Idem Chewfirst - 14 years old, daughter of Asin, our bookkepper
• Amak Straycrowns - 32 years old, married to another soldier

Knights :
• Uknol Skindive - 14 years old, sister of the bowman Zefer
• Ghorax Splashedbreached - 14 years old, daughter of the manager Haspen
• Puja Speakercraft - 14 years old, daughter of another knight

Uknol. I might have a figure at the right age and if I don't, I'll morph an adult down to it.

Let's go kill some goblins, brother.

Here's Ases. She's the daughter of Sug, Tresher and Jalew, Miner, and member of a big family. Among her siblings are :
• Apba, who is Asin's wife.
• Setoc, her second sister who moved in, in 130, with her husband in Castleflare, a dwarven hillocks.
• Inspunz, third sister who died in the battle of Brokenbronze, in 134.
• Zefer, older brother, currently in the hunter squad
• And younger siblings being still kids : Etus, Stalcon, Otir,Thabi, Tikbo

As for her personal story, she's born in 124 in Lengthcrushed , a hamlet on the seaside, to the west of the interior sea. When she was two, she moved with her family to Brokenbronze as her father was mendated to assist the constructions. After the completion of the project, she followed her father yet again to Watershield in 133.

I was going to say change her name back but when I read what it actually means in the Human Language File, I say keep it at Ases. Ases means Danger. Uknol means . . . nose. XD

Haha, well, I'm not too reguarding on that... I think Pathril means "Pet". What's really important for a soldier is the heroic name they receive once they defeated enough foes, because this is the name that will really stick in History...and for them, I use a liberal translating method. Some ar easier to retranslate than others

For instance, Pathril Omaaloc's heroic name "Anarsahthet Ucim" :
>Litterally : "The Ultimate Guise of Names"
>Interpretation : He who wears the names of the defuncts
>Liberal translation : "Carry-their-memories"

Once a dorfed character has an heroic name, you can choose how you want to retranslate and interpret it o/

Also, I'll have a sketch of your character coming tomorow, alongside the next update. If you need any reference for Daz, please feel free to ask !
