Eh, I was going to leave the whole thread locked, but decided to open it up. Remember they also have their own quicktopic they can talk freely in.

"fear not my striped friend, we call their bluff and ask them politely to surrender. Unless they want to get blow up by the ship's gun."
Custom actions will require invoking a trope.

I think The Rookie (Secretdorf) is already deploying the Backup Bluff

I tried to play chess but two of my opponents were playing competitive checkers as a third person walked in with Game of Thrones in hand confused cause they thought this was the book club.

Alright, actions are locked-in:

Crew Logs
Engineer: Upgrade Turret
Passenger: Join Away Mission
Rookie: Backup Bluff

I'll notify everyone by PM when I post the next turn. To set expectations I hope to have it out by before Wednesday. Please no pitch forks if it takes longer :P

I may add turns but by default next turn will be the final one for episode 1.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'll pick up an update to these threads I'm involved in just as easily by my typical "Show new replies to your posts" click.

When I had that and a "My Messages [1]" thing (which is easier to miss, though I didn't) I got all excited by thinking I was being given some Super Secret Mod Message (for this, or maybe something else) rather than a link to where I was about to check anyway.

Just sayin', in case everyone else wants to say they are agreeably similar in not (normally) needing a poke and it saves you the effort of doing it.

(I know not everyone will do it quite like this, but maybe everyone here will. Or we go with the Poke+Update combo anyway. Doesn't actually hurt.)

SHOOT @ Pirate (negotiator)

"I don't suppose you can grab their gun, Passenger?" (I ask him, but really I want to know this from rosehart)

"And Engineer, can I trouble you for some air support? With the turret.

It would be a custom action to steal a weapon(so they must invoke a trope).

Also, I never specified what would happen if you try to shoot at an enemy NPC in cover. So I'll just say that the negotiator dies, but the other requires 2 shots. (Since you've already committed to the 1st one and no information to the contrary was provided beforehand.)

Too make the captain's 'Hammer' (end turn immediately) a better option, the turn that proceeds will have the deadline as the following Friday... so there wont be less time than usual.

When I choose an action do I still limit myself to 4 letter words?

*BING BONG*

Ship detected entering atmosphere. Unknown vector, but origin may involve anomaly 1/2.

And hey, cowboys, if yer gonna go for his gun, watch out for my paintwork. If you really need to blast something inorganic, try the rubble pile the other one is sheltering behind and give someone the clean shot they'll need.

Couple qualifiers to what was said here(it all works IC but..) the pirate negotiator died immediately, so the "go for his gun" trope wouldn't apply really. Also, you don't need to invoke a trope for 2 shots to kill an npc behind cover, but that's just a nitpick.

Ah, sorry, the pressure of conveying an evolving set of new stuff snappily.

(And I got distracted by GFHG when looking for what I frst thought was https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WeaponStomp but wasn't. I was looking for that "discarded gun on ground, perhaps on debris, <stamp>, gun flies straight up into hands for instant use" thing, but doesn't appear to have been catalogued by any name I could determine, or mentioned in film-pages I know it happened in, e.g. True Lies.)

If anyone knows what I meant, pretend I said that, ok? ;)
