A narcileptic dwarf
« on: May 26, 2009, 08:14:47 pm »

'Sleepy' Obokshukar... ever since he came to my fort (a long time ago... it's been dwarf years) he hasn't gone two minutes without going unconscious. It spams my announcements log with job cancellations from going unconscious.

He's never been injured that I know of, and he's never in any pain or anything. He just... goes unconscious. It's kind of funny and cute but I'd also like to execute him.

Anyone had anything like this before? Also post your vote on whether I should award him 16 z-levels or let him live.

Check his wounds page. Remember to scroll down. use + and -.
He lost an eye or something.  Maybe a lung.

Haha, thanks bro I just looked and he's been missing his right eye this whole time. I had never tried hitting + and -

I'm sort of disappointed because I liked the idea of a narcileptic dwarf

Oh, he's still narcoleptic.  It's just that it was induced by trauma.  The trauma of losing an EYE  ;D

Make more of them (n. dwarves, not eyes).

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

Throwing eyes would be a very popular weapon in dwarf mode, if it wasn't for the fact that they don't drop when you cut them out of peoples heads.

Maybe they just get mushed.

I like to slip into bear caves around midnight and gently caress the carnivore inside before leaving a small cut of fresh fish and sneaking out.

So anyways, I was just playing and a goblin siege arrives. I signal the fisherdwarves and treecutters to head for shelter and get the troops ready at the entrances. However, while I'm looking at the goblin squads, I see they are heading straight for a civilian Hunter, sleeping in the middle of the field. WHY! He has a beautiful bedroom, but chooses to nap in the forest while civies are forbidden to go outside. Anyways, a goblin lasher walked up to this sleeping dwarf and beat him to death with a whip before he could wake. Tragic, as I've had this dwarf for over 5 years and he's a fantastic marksman. If he had been awake, he could have destroyed at least 5 goblins and used his agility to head for more bolts.

Remember, this is a dwarf we are talking about here.
