In the very first games, one of Team Rocket's evil plans was selling Slowpoke tails. Nobody objected to this until the player discovered exactly how TR was getting the tails.
IIRC, anyway. Been a long time.

Yeah I almost mentioned that!!  I think it was a thing in Gold/Silver/Crystal (gen 2).  I ought to be sure because my mainline journey started and ended with GBC Silver, but I've played so much Crystal Clear that I don't remember the original gen 2 story stuff so well.

I'm not even sure what the problem was, since I thought even Rocket was harvesting the tails sustainably...
But they seemed more like a delicacy than a staple.  IDK.

Whenever this topic comes up I feel like I'm revealing that I barely watched any of the anime.  SURELY it answers all these questions.  maybe not consistently, but it has to make more sense than the fantastical BS in the pokedex

Going by Bulbapedia, Team Rocket's operation in Slowpoke Well cut off the water supply for the town in the manga, and the bit about Slowpoke tails growing back wasn't introduced until Sun and Moon.

Slowpoke tails are also referenced as a meal in a restaurant in X and Y, and a meal ingredient in Sword and Shield.

I had a blood test yesterday. Waiting for results won't be fun.

You know Farfetch'd, that duck Pokemon with the leek?
Turns out duck and leek make a good meal together both in real life and in the Pokemon world.

I always assumed they eat the pokemon but never mentioned it because it's a kids game.

Some of the Pokedex entries in generation 1, possibly 2 as well, mentioned people eating pokemon. I think in the anime they were eating Magikarp one time.

Most of the time I think I usually assumed there was normal animals as well as Pokemon but we only ever saw Pokemon because that's the focus of the games.

https://www.quora.com/Are-there-regular-animals-in-the-Pokemon-world-I-definitely-just-saw-Pidgeotto-eat-a-regular-worm-in-episode-3-or-4

So apparently, it's current canon that there are no animals and that pokemon are a distinct class.

However, in older versions there were dogs/elephants/insects shown or mentioned.

Yeah. I think some of the pokedex entries for Generation 1 mentioned other animals.

Chocolate can kill you

I had to check to make sure this wasn't affecting ME.
Thankfully, only the really cheap dark chocolate will kill you.
I mostly eat milk chocolate, so I should be mostly fine.

Well damn I guess death by chocolate isn't just a dumb joke statement like I thought it was.

I've been having a heavy metal panel done with every physical for years because I play with guns. It really isn't a bad idea to do it in general.

That said, the research used to back that is based on the extremely tough California laws. All are well within the EU standards, even after said standards were tightened a few years ago.

This is true.

Seriously, though, if your range isn't ventilated well enough, fumes from the primers can be hazardous, and you have to be very careful to wash up after handling guns or ammo. I feel better having my blood checked just in case.

The EU standards on such things aren't exactly a high standard. They're very allowing, as with all things that benefit businesses over people.
