World creation slowdown
« on: February 20, 2011, 02:36:29 pm »

Has anyone noticed since .19 came out that world generation takes a crapload of time? Used to be it would only be 10-15 minutes for me to gen a world to its stop year, but now it takes more than an hour.

Mine took ten minutes instead of the usual 2. I guess it's all the tracking for the new stuff, especially starvation.

Geeze, is there any way to turn off the famines in worldgen? It's rather annoying.

wouldn't famines mean you have to keep track of less people?

I've noticed that turning down the number of civilizations seems to speed things up.
