"g", like in Dwarf Fortress. In fact, a lot of the controls are sort of like dwarf fortress's. Also, Q is drinking, as in "quaff"

use the numberpad if you have one. "0" is also pick up, you can move diagonally, target things with *, skip turn with 5, and cycle through menus with 9,7, +, and -

It's hard to get enough high level monster balls... and the bells have too little HP and are too fast, making capturing them very difficult.

But it's worth capturing bells, they are ridiculously fast and can dodge a lot. They make the ultimate archers.
