Bio: Linda is from the slums of Uhambra, although that doesn't necessarily preclude a happy life. It was true things were hard for her family, but their relative proximity to the 'rich' side of town kept them from the worst many people less fortunate than the Everetts experienced. Also due to their proximity to the rich side, the family was able to make a decent living as part of a performing troupe; Linda's mother Jane was an acrobat and her father Felix a somewhat-talented fencer.
At this point in her life story you might think these performers were a mere front for a gang of thieves, but you would be wrong. Linda did pick up many skills from her family and friends such as free-running, fencing, juggling, fire-breathing, contortionism, and other novelty abilities... many of which came in useful when she did decide she wanted to try out a life of crime. She found a retired safecracker by the name of 'Slim' Wyatt Patrick (an ironic nickname; the man was 500 pounds) and basically bullied him into teaching her the trade.
She wasn't exactly a successful thief. She didn't get caught, but at the same time, the only places she could really break into didn't have anything worth taking. Still, all the lockpicking and sometimes the chases and even more rarely the fights afterward both let her practice her skills and helped turn the moppety scamp into an adrenaline junkie. After a few years of this, she noticed the Uhambran Guard had put out a notice looking for people with some of her particular set of skills. What better way to put them to use than to get paid for it by upholding the law? At least her parents would be proud of her. Assuming she lived.
