Sharing my fortress for feedback

Greetings, fellow Urists!

This is my very first post on the forum, and I’m excited to share the birth of my fortress with you all. I’ve just embarked on a journey in my very first public Dwarf Fortress—one that I hope will be filled with the chaos, intrigue, and unexpected twists that make this game so special.

I’ve carved out a modest corner in the dwarven mountain homes, where the promise of disaster looms just as large as the mountains themselves. As the story unfolds, I’m eager to watch the dwarves carve out their legacy—whether that’s through glorious triumphs or catastrophic failure. (Let’s be honest, it’s probably going to be the latter.)

I’ve attached a few images of the fortress as it stands, though I’m still in the early stages. Hopefully, they show up! I would love to hear your feedback—any ideas, strategies, or creative suggestions you might have. The dwarves could always use more help in the chaos department. And if you’re willing, I’d love to collaborate with the community on the lore behind this fortress. Together, we can build a story as epic (and chaotic) as the fortress itself.

The fortress might end up buried beneath tons of stone and history, but if that happens, at least I’ll have left this post as a record of the wild ride. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead, and I hope you all will join me as we see where the dwarves take us!

nicely posted. we all started off with 'modest corners' at one point. . .

don't forget that the dwarfs are actually real and us overseers are the fantasy.

Thank you for the reply! And you are very right. :o We are the fantasy. Do you have any suggestions to build out the lore together?
