Alright, so.

My thoughts for Day 3 were "Find partners of Dariush through incriminating actions, like voting Dariush after he fake claims, and so on
I find it interesting that you're still adamant that Dariush's horrible fakeclaim was spontaneous and unannounced, and that it's unlikely any of his partners would have been earlier than the fifth vote on him.

More importantly, I went back to find out what I missed. I think I succeeded, and you'll pardon me for being skeptical of his bluffing ability.

Great, now we have all the assists. Since all you apprentices who assisted Earth can easily prove that you did (by revealing you know the Word of Protection), I'm going to ask that you do that now.

And now there's an inconsistency. There are three Water assist claims but only two who actually assisted. One of Jokerman-EXE and Nirur Torir is lying about their claim.

So, Jokerman-EXE and Nirur Torir, what do you have to say about that?

My thoughts for Day 3 were "Find partners of Dariush through incriminating actions, like voting Dariush after he fake claims, and so on
I find it interesting that you're still adamant that Dariush's horrible fakeclaim was spontaneous and unannounced, and that it's unlikely any of his partners would have been earlier than the fifth vote on him.

Of course I'm adamant, because that's what happened.

Why are you so adamant it's not? Apparently it's an absurd possibility that Dariush can be a fucking moron and a scum sorcerer at the same time. He needs no additional party to instruct him to be a dumbfuck.

And voting Dariush after his fake claim wasn't the only thing I was looking for. Things like completely ignoring him, like you did, until you couldn't any longer, as well as other things. When Dariush happens so suddenly there's usually a lot information to be gleaned about people's positions prior to and after the fake claim.

Because that didn't occur to me when I said it, only that somebody didn't do their job.
It didn't occur to you that there's scum apprentices? What?

It didn't occur to me that deliberate foul play by a scum apprentice was responsible for the missing assist.

Yours are comparable or worse. You jumped on the TacoDan wagon, and then all of Day 2 you were beating up vadia or waiting on KaminaSquirtle to get back. You were dead silent about Dariush until he fake claimed.

So let's hear it, IronyOwl. Tell us what you thought of Dariush right up until he fakeclaimed. I really want to know.
I'm sorry, is the Taco Dan lynch scummy now? Do you take issue with my bandwagoning a suspicious lurker? I wouldn't dream to imply that it clears me, but you realize all three of our sorcerers were also on that lynch, right?

And what did that beating up of vadia result in? Keeping my vote on him as an easy lynch until Dariush claimed? Or, you know, deciding he was town, which is kind of the purpose of scumhunting?

My opinion of Dariush before he fakeclaimed was that he was being a jackass, but I couldn't get a solid town/scum verdict on him. I did think some of what he was saying was decent, though most was indeed asinine and/or aggressively insulting.

So what if all three sorcerers were on it? That doesn't mean anything. This is an overreaction. I didn't even ask you to justify the TacoDan vote, and here you are with anger over it. Why so insecure about it?

If you weren't sure about Dariush, why didn't you ask him any questions? You were dead silent. That seems like something you should find out. But... nothing out of you.

And the point of all of this was to point out how completely safe all your targets were. It's easy to jump on the TacoDan bandwagon, because he was being dumb. It's easy to beat up on the noob, because he was being dumb. It's easy to go after KaminaSquirtle, because he's lurking up a storm. All your suspicions required very little effort to hold, so it doesn't look like you're particularly interested in finding scum, instead of just blending in.

It can't be any more obvious to me that you're scum.

There's no reason to believe that you aren't lying about your claim, Jim. What exactly is stopping you from being the one that lied about your assist? I know mine, and I know that it was Water. I knew Water's power and I knew what I would get from assisting it, but I don't know anything about the other schools.

No point, why bother?

I find it interesting that you're still adamant that Dariush's horrible fakeclaim was spontaneous and unannounced, and that it's unlikely any of his partners would have been earlier than the fifth vote on him.

See, here's that contradiction you keep refusing to acknowledge. You're going on and on about how fucking stupid he is and how this is perfectly normal and nonsuspicious, while maintaining that bussing him would be unthinkable.

And I do think it's an absurd possibility that a sorcerer, somebody who has a list right in front of him, could fakeclaim so badly that everyone else in the game knew he was lying. Even for a subpar player, this is well over the realm of incompetence.

Is there, now. But only when it clears you or condemns your attacker. Gotcha.

And I didn't completely ignore him, I just never had any really meaningful interaction with him. This happens to be true of you regarding everyone except Dariush and vadia. And me, but only after my fairy tale.

It didn't occur to me that deliberate foul play by a scum apprentice was responsible for the missing assist.
It didn't occur to you that a scum apprentice might not assist a town school.

Right.

So what if all three sorcerers were on it? That doesn't mean anything. This is an overreaction. I didn't even ask you to justify the TacoDan vote, and here you are with anger over it. Why so insecure about it?
If you don't want me to justify it, you must not think it needs explanation. So why bring it up at all?

If you weren't sure about Dariush, why didn't you ask him any questions? You were dead silent. That seems like something you should find out. But... nothing out of you.
I did ask him questions. They didn't provide anything I could really go anywhere with, and almost everyone else was already on him regardless.

But please, explain why this is scummy now. You had no opinion of me or Toaster and no intention of asking us questions. Hm.

Fair enough, but you've neglected to explain why any of those targets were poor choices. Or why I hopped off vadia or accused you at the start of D3. Surely there were easier targets than that?

It also happens to be true of almost everyone; most people were on Taco Dan or vadia at the end of D1, and hopped on Dariush D2. You were certainly no exception: vadia D1, switching to Dariush at the end, and then pretty much Dariush with a light side of lurkers through D2. D3, OMGUS. Doesn't get much safer than that.

Well, obviously. But I know that I'm not lying. So it's got to be one of you.

No point, why bother?

There's nothing wrong with extra information when it can be easily confirmed. Why do you have a problem with it? Is it going to reveal that you fake claimed your assist? If not, then why don't you do it?

Of course I'm adamant, because that's what happened.
"That's what happened?" How would you know that?

Because I'm town.

DUR.

Why are you so adamant it's not? Apparently it's an absurd possibility that Dariush can be a fucking moron and a scum sorcerer at the same time. He needs no additional party to instruct him to be a dumbfuck.

I wouldn't plan on bussing Dariush. I'd avoid it if it was at all possible. I wouldn't tell Dariush in scum chat: "Dariush, it's the start of Day 2. Things are looking pretty grim, what with nobody suspecting me, besides you, and you looking not too hot. The situation is clearly desperate and irrecoverable. Here's what I need you to do. I need you to try and get me lynched. But I also need you to fail. I have full confidence in you that you are completely incompetent and will fail miserably in this. I believe in you. But getting me lynched is not the plan. It's getting you lynched. Even though I could get you lynched just for you being you, I need you, after several days of being bat shit retarded, to claim that you inspected me and that I am scum. Don't worry that you're actually telling the truth. Everybody will think you're lying. Also, here's a list of fake spell I came up with, to remove all your credibility. This plan is perfect. Can you do this for me, Dariush. Can you do this?" I would tell him: "Dariush, it's near the end of Day 2. I'm going to have to bus you." Because that's a vastly more reasonable scenario where both he and I are scum.

Furthermore, it's stupid to assume any level of competence in the scum team. And it's even more stupid to throw in the target of Dariush's fake claim because you can't believe that the scum team could be that incompetent. Think again. Refusal to believe it is deliberate on your part. And it's my particular contention that whenever people are being extremely unreasonable, like you are right now, it's because you're scum and have something to gain from doing so. You see this all the time whenever people choose to not believe role claims (especially the damning but truthful ones), or whenever people believe fucking stupid scenarios that incriminate their target, like you are now.

So how about we quit arguing about this, because I'm tired of telling you how you're wrong, only for you to burst back in here with your dunce cap on full display and say, "NUH UH!"

See the very end of this post.

You're not using my argument against you correctly against me.

It didn't occur to me that deliberate foul play by a scum apprentice was responsible for the missing assist.
It didn't occur to you that a scum apprentice might not assist a town school.

Right.

Yes, that's what happened.

To point out how scummy your scum picks are.

Hm.

So what if everybody was? You stated nothing about even your opinion on Dariush. As far as everybody else was concerned, you didn't have an issue with him at all. And even when everybody started to turn on Dariush (which wasn't the fake claim, by the way) you were still silent, and decided it'd be a better idea to go vote KaminaSquirtle for lurking.

I gave my opinion: reasonably town. There was no reason to ask questions because I had no reason to suspect you or Toaster at the time.

Well, surely, if all these members of the town thought the same as you, that you must also be a member of the town.

Doesn't work like that. Quit trying to hide behind everybody else who was town and wrong about their suspicions.

It can't be any more obvious to me that you're scum.
And yet you were "completely ignoring [me], until you couldn't any longer" and being "dead silent" about it until now.

So, what, I'm your scumbuddy?

This is what happens when you try and use my language for your own purposes. Because if you were paying attention, you would know that I'm accusing you and Dariush of being scum partners because you completely ignored each other beyond token bullshit except when you had to.

Applying it to this situation is essentially accusing me of being your scum partner.

It doesn't work out. You should probably stop trying instead of throwing "NUH UH" attacks back at me, because it's really fucking annoying.

More of this "I'm above suspicion" bullshit.

There's nothing wrong with extra information when it can be easily confirmed. Why do you have a problem with it? Is it going to reveal that you fake claimed your assist? If not, then why don't you do it?
Word of Protection.

Because I don't see what information it's supposed to provide. I also assumed I'd have to demonstrate a negative vote on no lynch, which sounded like a waste of time.

Of course I'm adamant, because that's what happened.
"That's what happened?" How would you know that?

Because I'm town.

Wow, that's really convincing for the rest of us!

Can you do this for me, Dariush. Can you do this?" I would tell him: "Dariush, it's near the end of Day 2. I'm going to have to bus you." Because that's a vastly more reasonable scenario where both he and I are scum.
And yet, you admit this scenario seems to clear you more than a simple bus. The fact that "I'm gonna bus you bye" is simpler or more common a plan doesn't mean it's more likely regardless of any and all evidence.

Any level of competence? I can understand assuming that any ol' fuckup is just plain incompetence, but that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about not understanding that 3 is higher than 1, here. Combined with everything leading up to it, I consider it far more likely that there was something else going on than that the scum sorc couldn't count and there was nothing his buddies could do about it.

If you don't want me to justify it, you must not think it needs explanation. So why bring it up at all?

To point out how scummy your scum picks are.
So you wanted to bring it up to point out how scummy it was, but didn't want me to defend against it. Understandable, but no.

See second to last quote for more.

If you weren't sure about Dariush, why didn't you ask him any questions? You were dead silent. That seems like something you should find out. But... nothing out of you.
I did ask him questions. They didn't provide anything I could really go anywhere with, and almost everyone else was already on him regardless.

I gave my opinion: reasonably town. There was no reason to ask questions because I had no reason to suspect you or Toaster at the time.
So trying to pressure Kamina into showing up and explaining himself was a waste of time, but piling onto the Dariush bandwagon would have been productive? I'm sorry, I guess not moving with the herd is a sure sign of scumminess. Surely the guy everyone else is pissed at and voting wouldn't have been an easy target that accomplished nothing.

Furthermore, you're talking like everyone was voting him for the same reason or at the same time. At least one vote was for "doing stupid shit" as I recall; not exactly the phrase I'd expect from someone who was certain he was scum.

Doesn't work like that. Quit trying to hide behind everybody else who was town and wrong about their suspicions.
First of all, that's exactly the reasoning you're using for me not being town- "Hey! Everyone else was doing this and they were right, why weren't you at the party? Scum!"

Secondly, you have no argument. You're trying to point out things that everyone, including yourself, was doing as scumtells on me exclusively. You've provided nothing to differentiate "IronyOwl hops on TacoDan" from "Toaster jumps on TacoDan," but continue to insist the former is a scumtell. A very, very solid scumtell.

Naturally, this leaves it at an OMGUS tunnel.

It doesn't work out. You should probably stop trying instead of throwing "NUH UH" attacks back at me, because it's really fucking annoying.
No, you've got it right. By your reasoning, ignoring Dariush until his fakeclaim is a good sign that I'm his scumbuddy. As you similarly ignored me until my fairy tale, it stands to reason that you are my scumbuddy.

Simple, no?
