Another official but ancient goddess:  A pretty song about Venus/Aphrodite in anime-rock or whatever, I'm trash at music genres.  I'd say nightcore but it's not sped up.  Band's called Cepheid if that helps.

That reminds me of a non-grecoroman goddess actually, the Celtic Sirona.  This one has more lyrics so it goes into more detail, also some Irish language translated in desription.  I named a DND character after her, but ironically one of my few non-healers.

I'm uncomfortable recognizing/worshiping Venus/Aphrodite.  I prefer Athena.  With her brother, Ares.

But also Odin and Thor, and Tyr god of diplomacy (law and war), and so I pray now to Venus.

To "pray" is to beg and also to offer, isn't it?  I don't know what to say.  But if I am earnest enough, I will make the effort.  A self fulfilling prophecy.  Very Greek.

Vulcan, "crippled" god, please help my father through his physical therapy.  We go to the gym together, and by works of metal and wrought carbon, he does the treadmill.

God of volcanoes, god of tinkering, my father worships you through his works.  He has ever sought to improve every computer, every bicycle, ye!  Every moped, every mobile device!  Every work of man, he has been discontent with. Always improving.

Let his works speak for him.  What he has done through his indomitable strength of will, is in your name.  Please ease his path.

Anyway, I still don't know what to beg from Aphrodite.

Perhaps I don't worship her/Venus.  I am more comfortable with the Athena/Ares dichotomy.  Yesss.
Constant conflict.  Sometimes cool, sometimes hot.

It sounds like hell, but it's what I choose by talking to my bio-family.

One might think Athena is the deity of losing, weak and diplomatic.  One need only look at the ententes of the present day.  Soft power, projection of power, are far more important than Ares's arts of war.

I'm pretty sure Kojima made 2-5 games about this.

Still.  I respect and pray to Ares as I do Athena.
You never know when the detente will collapse.
