One of your dwarves has a profession of 'administrator', and got caught in the blast when the mountain titan (Assuming it was steam or whatever) happened to die. That least, that's what i'm guessing.

Your civ somehow captured him (Losing wars and inherent subjugation most likely), and he rose to the top. OR, you are the only one who can see the truth; it is your duty to destroy this menace, no matter how many of these corrupted dwarves get in your way.

Because questions about the mountainhomes have strangely been omitted from the Dwarven language.

Why are royalty typically the first to go?

42. That is the point when life is greater than death.

How can Giant Sponges become enraged without having a brain?

Sponges may not have a brain, but the Dwarves have brains that rarely function properly, so it's pretty much the same as having no brain. And, Dwarves can have a wide variety of emotions while their brain doesn't function, so... Sponges are really Dwarves in their primal state.

Why are Dwarves stupid?

Go for the legs. Blood is typically on your equipment when you actually get a hit that breaks skin/muscle or whatever.

IF YOU CAN DODGE AN ARROW YOU CAN DODGE A BALL, URIST.

Aye. I had a jail near the volcano with nice gold chains. Nice place :).

"That's a wonderful active volcano, Urist. Are you sure there won't be any nasty creatures to come murder us when we're locked up here? Why is everyone gathering behind those glass walls?"

"What? No, course not. Uhh, it's a meeting. Yea... Sure. Um. See you later."

Just added stone layers, a template to go with it, and a few soils. I messed up when updating my templates, and there are now two there. My mistake. Probably start adding a few metals/gems sooner or later.

I've discovered you can only bypass fortifications via jumping in the arena and adventure mode so capping your walls with those is a good idea. It also stops your archers from deciding to flee the battle by running directly into the battle. It also seems that many animals have natural climbing ability so bare walls are no longer a good defense against hostile wildlife.

URIST, THE CARP ARE SCALING THE WALLS! TO ARMS!

I've NEVER had a dwarf injured by falling logs. I've actually set up meeting areas and had trees chopped down directly onto crowds to no effect.

Perhaps the reason they've never reported being injured is that they're dead.

I was under the assumption that beards have dwarves.

You need to have your oldest dwarf dress in black clothes and a hood, and you also need a dark armored swordsdwarf to be captain of the guard. A recruit swordsdwarf escape the impact to go back to the mountainhome in triumph.

It's only a flesh wound!

Correct. Only humans currently have hub sites.
