What do you mean by "lighter than"? It has less mass, so gravity has less of an effect on it, see? You know, people in space, they have things floating around, right? The things are heavier than air, obviously, but they don't fall down because there's no gravity.

What I meant, though, was that yes, the helium gun would arch up - but like you said, turning them sideways wouldn't make the bullet arch left.
I guess you could go to a planet where buildings are built sideways? Or stand on a big building and use the xenon gun to shoot at people on the sidewalk? But I doubt that it would be heavy enough to do anything significant. After all, actual bullets have hardly any drop even at very very long ranges, and lead is much heavier than xenon.
Cool idea but not really great in practice.

I just noticed people were excited for this.

EPIC BUMP

Keppler's Best is ale brewed in distilleries in the asteroid belts. It sells for a good price on Mars and in the colonies, if you can get it past the authorities (They don't like beer mixed with asteroid materials).

You fly down to Stuttgart and meet with your contact.
"Hey, my man, how's it going! I heard that someone needed a package with some... sensitive materials delivered to Epsilon Eridani III. Interested?"

You accept the job. Your contact says he should have the package shortly, and that you should stick around Earth for a while.

You go up to the station and ask for 4 bottles at a 10% discount, of course. The seller says no deal. You glance around, looking for witnesses, thenpull out your Plasma Pistol. (6) You fire at his head, but miss, singing the sellers hair(4). In response, he pulls out his highly superior flechette shotgun.

What do you do?

At this point I don't see us talking our way out, and running will ruin our reputation, so I guess we need to add that shotgun to our shopping list, we will be taking the 100% discount of course...
