was anyone else aware that kobolds lay eggs?

I know this prolly doesn't deserve its own topic, but was anyone else aware of this? I was cruising around, killing were-beasts, and I had just killed this pitiful kobold who was also a were-beast (no idea what kind) I walked over to what I thought was the mortar and pestal that most old night creatures have, only to find that it not what I thought, its this egg. this kobold egg. is there anything else out there im missing? honestly ive always thought of kobolds as small cannon fodder dog people. I would never have thought of them as egg layers. what does this mean for fortress mode? are kobolds a viable source of eggs? what would they taste like? srsly.

maybe she was a were-hen or were-dragon?
and she might have been pregnant, so she decided to give birth in a egg-laying form, creating a were-egg :)

There was a thread a while back where someone had a kobold claim a nest box. It was a bug I think - right after nest boxes were added.

its time for !!science!! also, my char died after my war party was ambushed by.... kobolds. it wasn't there fighters that got me, it was there archers. tons of the little bastards. I took an arrow to the lung and suffocated... well, they got there egg back and my chest of gold and jewels.

Did you also know that Elves are short? Same body size values as Dwarves.
