Bloodshape another gun for Cherish, then both shoot the wisp. Whatever we do, don't let the goomba stomp him or stab him with the key.

Ciro: Shotgun attack

Cherish: Hold near Ciro, if enemy enters melee then attack with Ice Spear

Goombess: Hold near Ciro, if enemy enters melee... uh, jump on it? Basic attack

No. "If you het tooclose, he will use a super-strong pound attack".

Also, we should reserve melee for a final attack.

Everyone: If the Big Wisp jumps again, jump to another platform.

Man, do you guys know nothing about stomping bosses? They choose their landing location when they jump.

Sounds like a plan.

Also:
Someone smart enough: Remember/Ask Goom-Bess how much the Wisps follow the laws of physics, specifically those relating to electricity. If we can just stick a rod of conductive material through the Big Wisp into a ground and have it flow into the ground, we should try that.

Which is why I'm specifying that we ourselves should not move to melee, we should just be prepared in case they do, the big boss or his summons either one. I think the overall battle plan should be to ping from a distance, smack them when they get close and run like little girls before they can fight back. Which... actually, we are little girls, aren't we. Huh.

Everyone: If the Big Wisp jumps again, jump to another platform.

I'm really hoping that if the Big Wisp jumps, we'll have a turn to react and get out of the way. Depending how things play out, we might have Cherish and Goombess screen the summons while we keep blasting with our shotgun.

The ice spear should serve as a conductive rod, if we can just find a ground.  Either way, getting the ice spear stuck in the big wisp is probably a good idea.

Attempt to balance the ice spear upright in the center of the platform we're on.

"Plink," not "Ping." Pinging is something different.
But yeah, this. Especially since most of our party lacks ranged attacks...which we should have dealt with BEFORE now... *facepalm*

Agreed. Except that I'm not sure what "screen the summons" means.

I just realized something: What would have happened if we had had Cherish keep her goggles and pretend to still be Proxxy's minion bringing a couple more prisoners in?

Consider this: a stomp attack will likely hit a whole platform. That's why I say that we should spread. Also, use buffs, it's a boss fight, after all.

Oh, hey, did I forget? BATTLE MUSIC!

Ciro: Shotgun attack

Cherish: Hold near Ciro, if enemy enters melee then attack with Ice Spear

Goombess: Hold near Ciro, if enemy enters melee... uh, jump on it? Basic attack

Sounds like a plan.

Cherish and Goom-bess hang back alongside you, watching the Big Wisp carefully. (Attack: 12, 4+1) A flurry of bloody bullets fizzle and pop upon hitting their target.

(Sparking Sphere: 13-3, 12-3, 2-3, 4, 1) The Big Wisp forces three Sparking Spheres into being. Two spheres collide with their targets, sending a jolt through you and Cherish's bloodstreams, but Goom-bess manages to evade the other by doing nothing.

Spoiler: Party (click to show/hide)

Ciro: Wish we had handed out more ranged weaponry and shoot again!
Cherish: If healing is a ranged spell, AND the distance is short enough, hop to the upper platform (using staff and/or spear to grab on). Either way request that
Goom-Bess: Hop to the lower platform and Tattle random facts at the Big Wisp.

Cherish: Move to lower platform
Goom-Bess: Multistomp!
Ciro: Keep shooting until you see their eyes go white!

Everyone: If the boss flies into the air, jump to a different platform!

I hope this will be as easy as the battle the music comes from...

Ciro: Shotgun again! 3 blasts to go at this rate

Cherish: Remain near Ciro, remind us of Heal's range. Ice Spear if enemies close to melee

Goombess: Hop to lower platform, Tattle about the size of Big Wisp's damage dice! I'd like to know whether 4 damage was max for that attack, or average.

@GWG I don't think the platform above the Big Wisp is accessible, and I'd rather keep the healer nearby until we confirm the range of her spell.
