Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

F F F FURTHER EDIT: I wonder when Culise and IO will come in.
My guess is soon, possibly during this chapter. They've both been active here, so it's not like Haspen can kick them off the waitlist for inactivity.

Now if only Emral would come around more often...*grumble grumble*

Yeeeeppp, my mage character, in whatever game she ends up in, is one-shottable by prologue-bandits... yaaaaay. Edit: And actually anyone who isn't a mercenary, in FEF's prologue. Oh wow. If I ever get her into a game, I will exercise UTMOST CAUTION.

Lots of trainee characters are one-shottable by prologue bandits. That's why they have to work together, exercising their strategic skills and developing bonds as they figure which units work well together. I wouldn't stress too much about it :P

Short of a really bizarre build, squishy wizards will always be squishy wizards. That's just how the universe works.

How ubiquitous is the ability to read in this setting? Unless it's particularly common, I'm thinking about stating that Valor is illiterate.

If you had any education, you know how to read.

Which means that most of peasantry can't read. Anyone from better place than a farmhouse knows how to read :P

Hmm, not sure that a hovel in the hills of Mercia is better than a farmhouse...

BEFORE EVERYONE SHOUTS AT ME:

Eor was a member of the Temple Guard, not a mage or monk. Therefore it seems likely to me that if he left the Dragonstone here, he'd leave it with a former comrade of his and not some random scholar.

EDIT: Whaddya mean there's no captain, Haspen? Who takes command if the Temple comes under attack? :|

It's library, not a fortified cathedral. The defensive measures are tiny at best :P

Except those few stronger mages running the place, of course.

I gotta get caught up X_X

Glad at least I didn't use my own music or that would have taken 10 hours instead of 6.

inb4 Charlotte makes a dramatic tearful plea that she is there to retrieve her father's, Eor's, pants that he needs to defeat an evil dragon.

Or something :P
