If Tantallos do not get some speed on the next level ups he will end up like a one-shot weapon. High damage and hit rate but only one attack and get attacked twice by the whole world.

That tends to be how shamans work in my experience. They're meant to be a devastating alpha strike, not a tank or front-line fighter.
