Yeah man, old JRPG mimics are the bomb. Although... mostly FF series ones are just normal powerful monsters in a box.

Yeah, Mimics are more of an RPG thing, you'll find them in any fantasy really, in some shape or form.

Never really played many Final Fantasies, except for 6, I think. (The one with Kefka)

But Dark Souls popped into my mind because I had JUST beat Sen's Fortress, where you encounter your first Mimic, so it was pretty fresh.

EDIT: In other news related to Dark Souls: It just got on sale and I am so getting that I've been waiting yes so happy yes. I never beat it and its killed me with how much people talk about it.

I'm a hard guy to make rage, and I've gotten to the plague town place although not too far in however. Just where the scaffolding was and such. Gotta say, don't get that dragon sword, makes the beginning way too boring, killing the knights without planning ahead and pitch combat like I did the first time around was... Very, very lackluster. Really, everything was with that sword. I contemplated chucking it after I rung the first bell.

It helps that I'm a bit of a masochist for difficulty. :v
