my favorite plugin along with mousequery, resume, workflow, autobutcher.

can you make optional item quality shown like -+*≡☼
and some box to filter out/select categories

Quality already exists with your /*-+ keys.

Just added some new features to this plugin:
  • Toggling the melting of metal items is now supported.
  • Items are now grouped in the default listing (this can be toggled with TAB). This groups together items that are identical as far as the properties checked by this screen are concerned (the name, the checked flags, the quality and decoration status). The count is shown in brackets if there's more than one item. An action on a grouped entry is applied to all items in that group. The "Foreign Made" flag check has been removed as I felt it wasn't important most of the time and led to unnecessary splitting of groups.

  • You can now invoke the stocks screen with the hotkey "i" when a stockpile is being queried. This opens the screen restricted to only the items in that stockpile.

Nice, I didnt realize that you are still working on more features. :)

I assume this is for dfhack r3? I ask because MDF uses r4 since the newest release.

Yes, still waiting for an official r4 build. I think I'll update my r4 branch soon anyway as there's been a few changes.

Had to do a quick update to the bundle because I missed an update to the Linux and OSX versions of this plugin in the last upload. The Windows version is fine.

New version looks fabulous! If you do a build for the unofficial r4, I know all us Masterwork players will be delighted! (I've already had people ask me on the Studded With Patches thread if we can integrate it...)

Thank you so much for your amazingness!

I've just made an update to this plugin to fix a crash that can happen when assigning items to melt. Please update your copy if you're using it.

I have encountered a crash several times that I believe stems from setting an item to melt that is marked J  or possibly I.

I do a lot of training for armorsmithing (create legs then smelt and end up with more metal), and I have to end smithing before designating for melting for fear of setting an object to melt that causes the crash.  In cases where I have accidentally marked and item that WILL cause a crash and save the game before the item is melted, I can undesginate it for melting, but it will then always cause a crash.

I have to sell it or have a dwarf wear the item or get rid of it somehow.

If you have a save which eventually resulted in a crash could you upload it somewhere for me?

Also, are you running the latest version of the plugin? Running "stocks ver" from the DFHack console should say 0.12.

Ahh.  I was using ver 0.1.  Looks like the problem has been fixed in the interim.

Have been playing 40.05 for a while now, man do I miss that enhanced stock screen.  I await with bated breath.

I don't hang out much, but its great to see you still enhancing DF, falconne! :) I believe the last time I bumped into you was.. Maj'Eyal IRC? CataclysmDDA IRC? :> One or the other! :)

Lets petition for Toady to hire/embrace falconne as DF's UI specialist! (too bad the Toad won't allow it!) :) While we're intense-imaginary-dream hiring people on, lets take Putnam, Meph, Deon, and Perdaxis and call them the Four Dwarven Horsemen of the Contentpocalypse and let them in too :D

Either way, gibberish aside, thanks for all your contributions :)
