"Safe Underground" - my Lego Dwarf Fortress diaorama
« on: September 14, 2013, 07:04:32 am »

It has long bugged me that it seems only ONE PERSON has ever tried to make Dwarf Fortress lego stuff. I think the game naturally suits expressions in Lego and have long pined to see more. Well, in the end, I gave up and decided to try to make a scene myself! So, I dropped a lot of hints and for Father's Day got the "Escape from the Goblin King" Lego set and after building it with my lad, had a go a re-purposing it to Dwarf Fortress. Hope you all like.

Great work. Looks like they had to abandon the wagon so they could get underground in time to escape the undead. I like the fish in the barrel and the cat is adorable.

You fool!   Kill the cat before your doomed!    :o

I like Legos - my nephews worship them.  I was always a Playmobile kid myself.

Ooo, very nice! :D
Lego is awesome. I should really dig out mine one of these days, although I don't think I had many (if any!) of those fancy beard pieces.
My biggest Lego project was trying to build a city on a large mat... ended up running out of blocks after a couple of buildings.

Its not accurate.

There is still a ramp and wall access to the level where the miner has backed himself into a corner.

The ramp and wall should be removed for accuracy's sake.

My second turn's unnoficial goal was to turn everyone into vampires, and it backfired so bad, I ended up making the fort a more efficient, safer and friendlier place.
