Description: Maria is pretty small, even for a squidgirl, barely reaching five feet tall. Her skin is usually a pink-blue hue, though she can change its colour to almost anything she wants, she prefers that colour as she thinks that it looks flattering on her, matching her pink eyes and blue hair. Her features are delicate, and look childlike when combined with her large and curious eyes. Her chest has slits in the side of it, to expunge water that passes through her gills. Instead of legs she has eight tentacles, all of them extremely dexterous and she often uses them as extra pairs of arms, to hold or manipulate tools as needed. Obviously, as a squidgirl, she lacks bones of any type and maintains her form through sheer muscle strength or external support.

Power: Magitech: Maria originally studied to become a mage, but it soon became obvious that she had a knack for technology as well. Unfortunately technology is pretty primitive underwater for obvious reasons (lack of fire/furnaces, short circuiting electronics) so Maria constructed equipment to let her live on land and pursue her dreams there. In combat her Magitech powers are completely useless, but outside of combat she can blend magic and technology to create wondrous artifacts, as well as more mundane things like pick locks, hack electronics and draw magic circles.
Equipment:Rivier Kasteel Reverse-SCUBA Equipment: This set of cunningly-crafted equipment allows Maria to live on dry land, since otherwise her gills and skin would dry out and she'd suffocate to death. The equipment is a full-body suit full of salt water to allow her to breathe and keep her skin from drying out, with a plastic bubble helmet for 360-vision. The suit has an attached backpack, partly for storage and partly to hold the equipment that re-oxygenates the water and filters out CO
2. Since the equipment runs off her mana and exchanges oxygen and CO
2 from the surrounding air, Maria can theoretically live her entire life in the suit. In practice the salt water circulating through the suit causes excessive wear, and it needs plenty of maintenance.
Of course Maria has spent lots of time improving and refining her R-SCUBA equipment, and it's gotten to the point where the only outward signs of it are the bubble helmet around her head and the slight sloshing when she walks. Otherwise she looks like a relatively normal monstergirl, wearing a white shirt, pink skirt and a large backpack, all of them covered with pockets to hold tools and spare parts. She also appears to wear white gloves, and has the mother of all Zettai Ryouikis. All eight of her tentacle legs are covered in striped socks, with a gap between the skirt and the socks. Of course the gap is actually just clear plastic, but you'd have to up close and personal to find out.
Bloem-2: A long, metallic tube with several buttons and switches on one end, with handles so that Maria can wield it. Basically it's a magical bazooka, using her mana to set up and fire explosive charges, allowing her to deal much more damage than just with her normal alone. Despite being almost the same size as Maria, it's surprisingly light and easy to use, and collapses down to a more manageable size when not in use.
