Luke took a second candystick, offering Miranda one.

Luke looked at Miranda, blankly for a second.

"You're pretty. You suit smiles more than frowns." Luke says as he nibbles on his candy stick.

"Bringin' your brother will have absolutely no effect on that girl- even if it could, she wouldn't be payin' attention nor would she give a damn.  You're not on jury duty, after all. It's him that I want to drill somethin' into.

Miranda is blatantly lying, and she's well aware Luke knows that. She seems to be going for the 'shut up and cooperate damnit' approach. Also, she rejects the candy, but hesitantly accepts the bottle.

"Is there a lady you haven't told that today, kiddo?"

"Not just women. Although judging by that diva girl, he prefers girls."

Luke looks at Miranda and smiles with mixture of sadness and understanding.

"I see...good point. Anything I can do?"

"No need. I'll be preparin' for the trial, should be startin' soon. Don't be late."

Miranda heads off.
