In that very unlikely event, we'd probably just designate someone who knows the most about the plot to carry on.

Also, Bartimaeus lost the advantage of surprise. Can't easily trick Kaiser once he's paranoid.

man, I actually dreamt about the Ashfake fight. That is, Icarus killed Ashfake (who else?), and Ashfake suddenly went all Rasputin mode from hellboy "you killed me, an unimportant human, but what you bring forth is..a god". Suddenly, binding of isaac music. Ashfakes true form was isaacs mom...it was horrifying
