Marie can't help but chuckle at his phrasing of that.

"...Forgive me, that wording was a little rude.

I only have a couple questions. One, what was 'Shade', and how is it related to you, and the void being known as Bartimaeus?

Two, could you give us the schematics for those cannons you used for great effect against 'Shade'? SERT would happily grant you a favor in return."
